About: I grew up with a standard poodle who stole my heart from the very beginning. He was truly my best friend and sparked my lifelong love of dogs. As an adult, our family had a Wheaten Terrier for 13½ years, and he was the most royal member of our household. I have a hybrid work schedule and get much of my exercise walking in between work sessions, so daily walks and outdoor time are a natural part of my routine. I’m also fairly flexible with my schedule, which allows me to give dogs the attention they deserve. Over the years, I’ve cared for many friends’ dogs and genuinely enjoy having them around, whether they’re calm companions or full of playful energy. Our home is a warm, relaxed environment where dogs are treated like part of the family. Your dog will be treated like part of our family. I look forward to meeting you and your pup! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine as I work from home most days of the week and enjoy power walks in between work sessions. Walks, playtime, feeding, and companionship easily fit into my schedule. Since I work from home on my computer, pets are rarely left alone and can relax nearby while I work, giving them plenty of attention throughout the day. I follow each pet’s normal routine, providing walks, feeding, playtime, and plenty of attention so they feel comfortable, safe, relaxed, and well cared for.

About: I was the full time Mom for our Havanese until he passed at 11 1/2 years old. I love spending time with dogs on a long walk, playtime, or practicing simple commands. I'm extremely patient and loving, and will treat your dog as my own! I have a very flexible work-from-home schedule, which makes it possible for me to accept a variety of walk or visit times (in addition to the scheduled shown), and I can often take a last minute request. Pet safety is my number one priority. I don't take chances, we always stay safe whether it's being properly leashed or making sure there's nothing dangerous within your dog's reach.

About: I've been a dog owner almost all of my life - a mini dachshund as a girl and two cavapoos as an adult. I've also been a long-time sitter for family and friends (Corgi Jake and Lab Rudy are in my pictures), and think of the dogs in my care one of our own. I look forward to connecting to see if I'm a good fit for your beloved pup. I'm a part-time grad student (online program) and full-time mama to toddler Jack (who's in Montessori school) and pup Seamus. We've moved to Spring Lake from Hoboken - days include walks by the lake, ball tosses in the backyard, and the dog beach in season (regular beach in the fall). It's important your pup feels comfortable with us! We allow our Seamus on the couches and will adhere to whatever rules you're most comfortable with.

About: As an active dog owner, I treat every dog in my care with the same love, attention, and safety standard I give my own 3-year-old pup. I’m a stay at home mom and an active community volunteer, so this fits into my flexible daily schedule. I’d love consistent jobs or would be happy to drop by for a walk every once in a while. I treat every dog as if they were my own. I’m respectful and conscious of your home and follow directions well. I’ll send you a photo too!

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life and grew up helping to care for our family pets. Over the years, I’ve also cared for my parents’ dogs while they’ve been away—handling everything from walks and feeding to playtime and keeping them on a routine. Recently, I’ve welcomed a puppy of my own, so I’m especially familiar with the attention, structure and patience younger dogs need. I work from home so can be available for midday walks and and drop-ins. My schedule can vary but is flexible, especially for local visits. I treat every dog like my own and always focus on keeping them safe, comfortable and happy. I stick closely to your instructions and your dog’s routine and am mindful to send an update so you feel confident they’re in good hands.

About: I’ve had cats ever since i was little, ranging from 2 cats all the way to 5 at the moment. I work with dogs ranging from small to large (10-100 lbs) as well as age differences puppy to seniors. I am trained in bathing dogs as that is my current job. I grew up around cats, dogs, reptiles, and small rodents. I knew that animals were my “thing” ever since I was little and I would treat any animal I meet as my own. I work 5 days a week (monday-tuesday, thursday-saturday). I am available Wednesday and Sundays from 8:30am - 6pm. If other days or times are needed please reach out to me, we can always arrange something! Unfortunately I cannot take in any pets as I do have 5 cats of my own and I do live with my parents. I would treat any persons pet the same way I would treat my own.

About: I approach each pet like you would a human by meeting their needs with love. I keep a clean house as well as the fur baby. I am very accommodating and friendly. I request at least 3 days notice unless an urgent need arises. I have experience with training dogs/cats. I’ve house sat for pet owners and cleaned. I’ve even taken care of exotic pets. I’ve worked with rescues who shy away from people. Let’s have a meet with your fur baby and discuss if I can meet your needs. I treat each fur baby like family! I ask to meet up so that the animal feels a sense of trust with me before you part for your journey away. I’d also like to meet you and put your mind at ease.

About: I’ve had a dog for most of my life. I also volunteer at a dog shelter every week, and have done so for the past two years. I've gained much experience at the shelter and can confidently handle various types of dogs. I am super comfortable with all sizes and breeds. I love dogs and would be so so happy to walk your pups!! I currently work from home and have a very flexible schedule so I can definitely fit pet care into my daily and weekly routine! Depending on my schedule that day, I'll be able to fit walks in. I can definitely do early mornings and late nights, and can fit in walks throughout the day. I can follow whatever rules you may have for your pup and do the best I can to make your pup feel as loved and taken care of as possible!

About: I have been a dog owner for majority of my life, and I have cared for numerous dogs professionally over the years. I currently have an 8 month old lab. I am available to care for your pup via walks, visits, and overnights an hour home. I do have an allergy to cats so unfortunately I can not care for them. I am open to both on occasion or recurring positions. I am energetic, responsible, and reliable. References available upon interview. I am a nonsmoker and I am trustworthy. I would be more than happy to house sit and take care of any small tasks while caring for your beloved pet. Please feel free to contact me with any additional questions or requests. Thank you much, I look forward to hearing from you! Best! Jillian I am currently available on weekends and Wednesdays, with flexible timeframes during those days. If you happen to need a day/time that is not mentioned above please contact me. I am punctual, respectful, and loving. I prefer animals to people in most scenarios. I will give your dog the utmost love and attention while under my care.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of September 2026, there are 7,269 sitters on Rover offering Dog Walking across Sea Girt. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Sea Girt. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Sea Girt.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Sea Girt. On Rover:

  • 86% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 91% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
