“Gabriel was fantastic! After several attempts at a house sitter and watching our two dogs, one of them large, Gabriel took the stress off of us during our vacation. Great communication, lots of pictures, and the house was well cared for. Highly recommend Gabriel!!!”

About: I am a Napa native and I work in downtown at a civil engineering firm. I have had animals around my whole life and will always love all pets like they are my own. I have experience house sitting for dogs, cats, lizards, and ducks/chickens. This includes walking, feeding special diets, housing needs, and administering medications. I look forward to meeting some new friends! I work Monday through Friday 8-5 with an hour lunch which allows me to do mid day check ins. I prefer house and pet sitting when taking care of animals which allows me to work around my work schedule and provide your animals with the attention that they require. Being able to take care of animals in their own home is important to me because it offers them a sense of comfort especially when someone new is around. I aim to keep up with normal house hold routines so your animals doesn’t get too stressed.
“Dorothy is the best! The moment Dorothy walked in the door, she demonstrated a calm and professionalism that was comforting to us. Having someone in our home that is unknown to us is very uncomfortable. We never felt uncomfortable with Dorothy. Dorothy treated our peta with respect and was attentive to their needs. Dorothy is also a very respectful visitor, cleaning after herself and treating our home like her own. Dorothy also sent great pictures of the fur babies during her stay. We will be repeat customers. Thank you Dorothy!”

“Richard was on time, he was great with my dog. He even walked him, I appreciate that a lot as it wasn't a requirement.. Thankyou for being so great..I'd definitely ask them to watch Hammy again. Susannah was not feeling well today so we didn't get to meet her this time..”

About: I’ve had dogs, cats and birds most of my life. Now that I am pet-free I find I miss their companionable company however I am concerned about the expense a full time pet might incur. The next best thing for me is occasional boarding and home and pet sitting. A few years back, I worked as a personal assistant for a local woman, helping manage her large estate including supervising home improvement projects and pet sitting for her two Pekingese whenever she went vacationing or cruising. I adored her dogs and enjoyed taking them on hiking paths, dog parks and neighborhood walks. I am basically a caretaker. I had a long career as a loving active nanny. I also had a table massage and water therapy business for three decades.. Rest assured while I'm with my pet pals, although they will miss you, they will also be pampered and played with, petted and walked often and loved temporarily. I am a bicyclist, swimmer and yogini and am high energy. Let me add that I have been on a lifelong learning journey to live my life with an open heart, an open mind and 100% integrity. Thank you for your consideration. I had a long career as a massage therapist, both table and water massage; also, as a nanny and senior caregiver. I am now turning my high energy and nature loving essence to woman’s best friends. As a published writer, I continue to enjoy creating fiction and poetry and see my home and pet sitting as a way to be mostly alone (from people) and enjoy and care for other people's beloved pets. I take lots of healthy walks with dogs and like to play with cats in the grass if that’s their thing.I treasure my own home and rest assured I will respect and honor your pet and your home. Let’s talk soon to see if your pet and I are a good match. Thanks. I am a very organized clean person who can guarantee your home will be as good as you left it the day I arrived. As a personal assistant for a Napa client, I often house and pet sat for her long—once for almost a full month. My number one rule was pamper those two little dogs and number two, never invite friends into a clients home. (No we weren’t on Quarantine and yes, I had friends asking to visit but was always adament about the trust Jackie gave to me. Although your pet's needs are my top priority, I will water plants indoor and outside to your specifications. Know that I am very comfortable giving your pet whatever medications needed. And although I've never had to inject a dog, I do often give insulin shots to my young granddaughter with type 1 diabetes. Any questions? Let’s talk and see if we’re a good fit. Best, Antonia
“Lauren is the sweetest. My dog loves her. She stayed the weekend at my house, and was prompt, communicative, sent photo updates each morning, and left the house spotless. My dog and cat seemed relaxed and happy when I returned which tells me they got plenty of love and attention.”

About: I’ve spent several years caring for pets as part of my work as a nanny and personal assistant, so I’m very used to routines, communication, and handling animals with patience. I’ve cared for high-energy breeds like German Shepherds and Dobermans, as well as small dogs, seniors, and puppies. What sets me apart is that I’m calm, dependable, and observant, I notice changes in behavior, appetite, or energy right away. I’m comfortable with crate routines, structured walks, feeding schedules, basic commands, and keeping dogs mentally stimulated. I’ve also handled senior-dog needs like slow walks, medication reminders, and gentle mobility support. When I house-sit, I treat your home with the same respect I treat my own. I keep things tidy, follow your instructions carefully, and send regular updates and photos so you always feel connected and confident your pup is happy and safe. Whether your dog needs long walks, quiet company, playtime, or extra patience, I adapt to each pet’s personality to help them feel secure while you’re away. I’m currently in nursing school remotely, which means my schedule is very flexible and I’m home the majority of the day. When I’m house-sitting, your dog gets consistent company, supervision, and attention, I’m not someone who will be in and out all day. If I ever need to step out for a quick errand or class requirement, I always communicate ahead of time. I believe in being respectful of your home and completely transparent about my schedule, so you’ll always know what to expect. Because my program is online, I’m able to structure my study time around your pet’s needs: walks, playtime, feeding, medication, and potty breaks. This setup lets me provide calm, consistent care while keeping your dog’s routine as stable and stress-free as possible. When I care for pets in your home, I keep everything calm, safe, and consistent. I follow your dog’s routine exactly: feeding schedule, walk times, crate rules, and any house guidelines you prefer. I’m especially careful with doors, gates, and outdoor time, and I handle strong or high-energy dogs confidently. I keep your home tidy, pick up after pets right away, and treat your space with respect. Throughout the stay, I send regular updates and photos so you always feel connected and comfortable while you’re away. My goal is to make your dog feel secure in their familiar environment and give you complete peace of mind.
About: Taken care of my own pets since my childhood dog and cat. I have a deep connection with animals and take care of them with sincerity and love I am a student at Napa valley college and have a relatively flexible schedule where I can be going back and forth a lot to see furry friends and stay on top of my studies Outside of feeding, walking, and hygiene, I spend hours of everyday cuddling with or playing with my pets. I never go more than 20 minutes without loving on them.
About: I grew up in the Valley where every household had a dog including mine! From Rotties to Huskeys to malteses and Shar Pei’s, I’ve taken care of all furry friends in different shapes and sizes and I love them all! I am more than happy to do early morning walks and afternoon/evening strolls as I work 9am-5pm. Wednesdays and Thursdays I can do midday walks and potty breaks morning and night! I have taken care of both reactive and playful pups. With that, I’ve learned that dogs give us signs for us to respect their space and mind their feelings especially in their own home. I have learned to watch for that and to look for any inclination for space but also for love and pets.
“Kat was a good send, last minute I was in need of someone to come and take care of my 7th month old puppy and stay at my place. She responded to my post in hours and was flexible as I figured out If it could work. She agreed to come and meet me first so we can connect since this was the first time I had ever hired a dog sitter. She took great care of my puppy and it was clear she is a natural. She took our pupp6 to her office well she worked, which was great because I meant she was never alone for too long. She took great care of the house and left it in great shape. I'm so glad that I found Kat for the next time. We need a do sitter.”

“Melany pet sat my four animals for me for an overnight. She was easy to communicate with before the sit, took lots of cute pictures during, and left my house very clean. I came home to happy animals all around. Would highly recommend for any of your needs on Rover!”
About: I have had cats my whole life and I love their quirky nature. Recently got my own dog after loving other people’s dogs for years, she just turned three and is pretty well trained and fun to play with. Now I’m branching out to care for and play with your pets so you can get stuff done and have fun. I love them all, hamsters, birds, you name it. I will boop! Right now I’m pretty available as I am funemployed and job seeking. I’m here for you! Can do. Will enjoy the experience so much. Very excited to have new animal friends to play with. I do have a fenced yard and one large dog, two cats. Mostly I am ready to come to your place for pet care, or take them out on walks as you prefer. I am here for you.
About: I’ve taken care of animals for as long as I can remember, through every stage of their lives. Growing up with dogs, they have always been like family to me and I try to take my dog with me wherever I can. I’ve had experience with all different kinds of dogs and cats and have also worked at a doggy daycare / boarding center. I’m currently not working, so I have a lot of free-time to care for pets all throughout the week. I am a student so I often have classes during the middle of the day, but I am available to make visits and potty breaks during the day in between caring for my own dogs and managing other responsibilities. Ideally, I am hoping to provide dog walks during the day, to allow me to still care for my own animals separately at home. I am also able to house-sit in the client’s home, and will care for them however the owner wishes. I have a fenced yard and two dogs to keep your fur babies company if you are open to introducing them.
About: My experience with cats consitutes my entire life. I have been the primary carer of my childhood cats, as well as my cat I live with in adulthood. For dogs, I am more limited in daily interactions, but I've always been around dogs, too. For example, I used to spend summers at my Grandma's house. One summer, she adopted a puppy, and I remember going to trainning classes with them. Through that, I got to learn a lot about the generality of a dog's behaviour. Furthermore, I have pet sat dogs a few times before, for people I know. So far, it has been with bigger and older dogs. The longest I've pet- sat is a week, with a Labradoodle named Chewy! (That family also had many fish in multiple aquariams, gekos, and a Caique I was responsible for taking care of! So it's not just dogs and cats I'm confident in.) Lastly, I've voluteered for a year walking dogs at the North Bay Animal Shelter, back in 2019. I walked mostly smaller and/or easy going dogs. Although my experience is probably more limited than others on this site, I am extermely confidant in my ability to handle any animal someone entrusts me to look out for. Animals are our family members, and I would do any and everything in my care to make sure they're safe while on the job! At the moment, my schedule allows me to be completely free to pet care around the clock. I have a flexible schedule, as I do asynchronous classes, from the SRJC. I live with my parents, so I can only offer to house sit your pets. I hugely prefer a list of expectations. I am grateful to the families I've pet sat for, before, because they have left out lists of feeding times and maticulous instructions of how to give medication, feed, what times and how to walk a dog, etc. For both safety (especially safety!!!) and trust, I love following your guided schedule and routine, and as long as I have instuctions on things, there is not going to be an issue. Basically, I'd prefer to follow your care guides. If left to my own devices, I probably would try to get hints from the animals on their expectaions (for example, if I don't get a meal time, I'll watch the dog for the expectation for food).
“Jhian and Joseph were incredible, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the care provided to our Roger! They took the time to understand Roger's needs and preferences and provided regular updates with photos and videos. They also kept our home tidy, followed all instructions to the letter, and showed incredible flexibility in accommodating our schedule. If you’re looking for a responsible, caring, and dedicated dog sitter, look no further than Jhian and Joseph. We wholeheartedly recommend their services and will definitely be using them again in the future!”

About: I grew around multiple animals, which included dogs, cats, and chickens. Which is why I love working with pets. In the past, I have taken care of a cat which involved feeding and playing with him. I am currently an owner of three dogs and a cat. Which I take care of, take on walks, and play with. I'm currently a full time college student and work part time. But I am available to dog/cat sit after 6pm-9pm on weekday’s or Friday's from 10:00am-12:30pm and 10:00am-1:30pm on some weekend's.
