I’m semi-retired and enjoy occasional substitute teaching jobs while I pet sit, but only if your pet can be alone for 6 hours. Otherwise I can work on my own projects at your home or mine. May I take your dog along for car rides to parks & beaches?

Have you trained your dog to follow certain commands? What book or method do you use? What commands and words does she/he know? Will your dogs obey commands? [I can help work on this, but I cannot fix a problem in the short time that I’m with your pets.] I would need to know if your dog is aggressive to people or animals. Does your dog run away if let out the door or gate? Does he or she like long or short walks? Brisk or leisurely? May your dog eat some meat scraps from my dinner, in his/her own dish? Do you allow your pets on the sofa or bed?
A typical day
I might take your dogs to the dog park to run around. Before bed and before breakfast, I would walk your dog(s) around town or in the forest. I enjoy traveling and can pet sit in other locations too, such as Coos Bay, Bandon, or Roseburg, Oregon, or in California, SF, Tahoe, Sacramento, Sonoma/Marín, where I raised my daughter, from 2000 to 2019.

I’m an animal communicator working in Sonoma, Calif. All details, such as price, are negotiable. Dogs and cats sense my calm and playful heart. They enjoy being near me. I will feed, love and exercise your pet. House sitting for all sorts of animals, cats, dogs, chickens, goats, horses, pigs, sheep... Experienced with administering medication in older pets. Began walking dogs professionally while in college because I couldn't keep a dog of my own. Took care of cats and yards for neighbors at 13 years of age. My own pets have been: cats, dogs, rat, chinchilla, rabbits, pigeon, pig, chickens, ducks, lizards, snakes, toads, fish. As a teen, I wanted to become a veterinarian. My petsits have been in many places including Sacramento, Kenwood, Sonoma, Sebastopol, Colorado, Costa Rica, Peru, Ireland, Spain, France. Looking forward to helping you and your beloved animals. Thanks, Cathleen My lifestyle allows for flexibility in my schedule. Sometimes I work as a catering chef or substitute teacher in Sonoma County, Calif. Other times I am cooking for my elderly mother and at my Coquille studio/gallery.

Cathleen was wonderful with our very high maintenance senior dogs! They just loved their time with her! Cathleen was easy to communicate with and just made our lives so much easier. I will definitely rebook if I am in the area again.
Cathleen was excellent working with our dog Marley. Marley wasn’t quite prepared to have someone take care of her while we were away and Cathleen was incredible at being patient and caring for her needs. She went above and beyond by texting, communicating and sending us photos. We will definitely use Cathleen again as we feel Marley has made her part of our family.
Cathleen loved my dogs like they were her own. We came back to two fat and happy dogs!
We had a fantastic experience with Cathleen while we were away for the weekend. She took excellent care of our fur babies and we could tell they were in good hands the entire time.
