My experience ranges from caring for high energy foster puppies who require lots of play time and long walks to providing more patient gentle care to calm senior dogs who just want to be in your company. About: I've fostered dogs in my home and cared for dogs and cats in other people's homes and am excited to do more of both! I got into housesitting several months ago and love getting to spend focused time and attention on animals while their people are away. While fostering dogs, I worked on light training - improving walking manners, comfort with strangers, and basic commands. I cared for my dogs for a few weeks to several months until they were adopted and loved getting updates from their new families about their progress. I make time for your animals as they need it! I work part time, which allows plenty of time for walks, playing fetch, cuddle sessions, and on-time meals. If temperament allows, I’ll take your pup with me to dog-friendly spots in town and along longer walking paths and trails. I'm new to California and settling in the area. I'm excited to explore different neighborhoods, meet cool people, and spend time with your furry friends. If I’m staying in your home, I’m in your best friends’ space. Whatever they’re used to, is what they’ll get, whether that’s permission (or not) to get on furniture, sleep with me in bed, and set our walking schedule.

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats in the past, when I lived in Australia, and in Napa, I am trusted by all of my friends and family to take care of their pets and home while they are away. I have been doing so much housesitting recently, I decided to offer my services to others again! I love animals and am always that person that can't walk past a cat or dog without saying hello and giving them a pat. I am a winemaker and notary on the side, so I have had regular background checks and am a respectful and responsible person. I live by the moto of "leave the place better than you found it" and am very cautious and mindful to leave your home in perfect condition, so you can return home with no problems and no cleaning to worry about! I work full-time and am generally at work by 7:30am and am home by 4pm. I spend a lot of time at home on the weekends to get work done and tend to walk with friends to get exercise or go to the local farmers markets. Give me a list of instructions that you would like done and I will fulfill all of your expectations! I work during the day, so I will not be able to stop by during the day in most cases (between 7:30am-4:30pm), but I will free for walks before and/or after work and anything else that needs to be done.

Cathleen was excellent working with our dog Marley. Marley wasn’t quite prepared to have someone take care of her while we were away and Cathleen was incredible at being patient and caring for her needs. She went above and beyond by texting, communicating and sending us photos. We will definitely use Cathleen again as we feel Marley has made her part of our family.
We feel so fortunate to have found Gillian (Gigi)! She had a difficult task with her stay at our house, and his name is Kitty (the elderly pug). He not only requires extra work in the daytime, but can be a huge challenge at night by not sleeping (howling) in the night. We cannot express our gratitude for her care and patience with this guy. He is over 17 years old, and suffering from cognitive decline and nerve issues (back end failures). We typically travel with him knowing the level of work he can be, but this trip was due to a death in the family and we had to fly (and he cannot fly with us). She stuck with him, kept trying things to help him be comfortable, and we greatly appreciate her. Not easy if sleep deprived! We have two others - dog and cat - who were hopefully easier and more entertaining for Gigi! (oh and a duck) We felt nothing but total confidence in having them in her care, and in our home. She was not just a wonderful caretaker for our fur babies, but a lovely houseguest, too. That made an extra huge difference since our trip was due to a death in the family - we could go and be focused on that. We were updated throughout the day and with photos and videos and loved having that communication. If she is ever willing to take us on again, we will definitely be seeking her services. Give her a try - you will love her and your fur baby will too!
