I really appreciate Samantha helping my boy on a last minute notice over the holiday weekend. I was out of town and she was nice enough to feed him and clean up his accident without asking. It was more than just a walk. I would recommend her services if you need someone to look after your dog. I hope to hire her in the future.

About: Growing up my family always had cats and dogs, so I’ve been around them my whole life. Pets bring so much love and fun into your life, they are a part of the family and they are so important. I will care for your pet like they are my own. I have a 6 year old poodle named Lola who I love with my whole heart. My qualifications- I’ve taken care of older cats for a neighbor, I’ve housesat for friends and family who have pets, and I volunteered at an animal shelter for over a year, where I would clean kennels, take dogs on walks, play with cats, and organize and paint the shelter. Thank you for considering me as your pet-sitter! ❤️ I have flexible hours, because I work as a door dasher, but pet-sitting/walking is my preferred job, so I can be available whenever I am needed. In my home, my dog Lola has access to food and water 24/7, and I take her outside every 4 hours or so during the day. She lets me know when she needs to go outside. In your home, I can provide any feeding/walking schedule that your pet is used to. I’m very easy-going and adaptable to anything.

About: Hi, My name is Maarten and twenty-nine years ago, I applied for an internship at Artis, a zoo in Amsterdam. As luck would have it, I didn't get the job and life took me in a different direction. Now I am 45 years old and fate has finally delivered me to a spot where I can get back to my childhood dream of working with animals. I grew up in a household filled with animals: dogs, cats, guinea pigs, fish, rats and parrots. This nurtured a wide knowledge of animal care. Over the years, we've had 9 dogs, all of which I trained myself. At the moment, I am raising a 1.5 year old German Shepherd and a 6 month old BullMastiff mix. I want to say that over the years, dogs have grown especially close to my heart. To be honest, they have completely taken over. At the moment, I work part-time as a kennel attendant for S.A.F.E. Pet Rescue. Although I consider it a dream job, my long-term goal is to open up my own doggy daycare. Approach to Dog Walking: I believe that every dog is unique and deserves the utmost care and respect. I approach dog walking with a big smile and a warm heart. My goal is to create a fun and lively experience for your dog, making each walk a joyful adventure. During our walks, I'll ensure your furry friend's safety and well-being, while also encouraging positive behavior. Wednesday and Thursday I work for S.A.F.E. Animal Shelter. The rest of the week I am available between 08:00 and 15:30. Evening visits can be planned by special request. The safety of your pets and property are my main focus. Before you take me on as your pet profesional we will go over your dog's/cat's strengths and weaknesses to ensure a healthy happy and safe experience.

About: My family has owned numerous of dogs in our large family. From my Uncle's Dobermann trio to my mother small Pomsky (Pomeranian and Husky mix) I've taken care of them all. The dogs in our family are tired of me before I've run out of steam to play or walk. I own five cats at the moment though one of them acts like a caine. My cats are friendly and mind their business when I overnight board my mother's Pomsky or my sister's Old lab mix girl for a few days. Cleaning after animals do not bother me. I daily change 6 cat litter boxes. When I'm left clear instructions the job is done efficiently every time. I work from home full time and I'm awake before the sun come up. I'm ready to get the job done early and my job is flexible about my breaks. I can visit your pets anytime designated as I have my own vehicle. I have a open yard that's not fenced in though only one neighbor with a dog behind a fence. I'm working to fence my yard in the future as I like the idea to give sitted dogs that open space. For now know your dog will become part of my workouts and I love to walk about 3-5 miles daily. At my home your dog will be welcome to chill with us though during the night will board in the spare room in or out of any provided crates.

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life! I worked as a veterinary technician in high school for 2 years, gaining hands-on experience with pets of all sizes—from tiny kittens to large-breed dogs, and even exotic pets. I’ve personally cared for reptiles, senior pets, and energetic puppies, so I’m confident handling all ages and temperaments. Whether your pet needs meds, extra patience, or just tons of love—I’m here for it! What sets me apart is my vet tech background and my calm, confident approach with all kinds of animals. I’m not just here to “watch” your pet—I truly care about their comfort and happiness. I understand body language, medical needs, and how to keep pets safe and stress-free. You can relax knowing your fur (or scale!) baby is in experienced and loving hands. Pet care fits perfectly into my routine! I’m a nursing student and currently work PRN as an EMT after working full-time in EMS since 2021. My schedule is flexible, especially during weekdays and weekends, and I’m great at time management. Caring for animals is something I truly enjoy, and I love having pet visits or walks as part of my day—it’s a welcome break from the chaos of EMS life! Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priority. With my background as an EMT and former vet tech, I’m calm in emergencies, attentive to detail, and confident in administering medications or handling special needs. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home or mine, I stick closely to their routine and make sure they feel secure and loved. I respect your space, keep things clean, and provide regular updates so you always know your pet is happy and safe. You can trust that they’ll be treated like family.

About: I’ve had pets as long as I can remember, and wouldn’t have it any other way. They are the charm of any home!! I would be honored to watch your pet. I currently work from home and have three dogs myself. All very loved and get along great with other animals, including cats!! I am home all day every day and the dogs thrive when we have a guest pet. My house is set up to where I can divide the animals and they’d still be comfortable. I also have a very large 2 acre lot that is completely fenced in.

I’m dependable, attentive, and always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I’d love to meet your furry friend! I’m used to building my day around making sure pets feel comfortable, safe, and cared for, and I’m happy to adjust my routine to meet each pet’s individual needs. About: With over 40 years of experience caring for animals, I bring a calm, confident, and loving approach to every pet I meet. Big dogs don’t scare me—in fact, I adore them—and my background as a vet tech in an emergency clinic means I’m comfortable handling medical needs, including administering medications. I truly love all animals, and I talk to every dog, cat, or critter as if they were my own. Your pets will be in patient, capable, and genuinely caring hands with me. I can work from anywhere and I set my own hours so I'm available for any schedule that you and your pets need, even if it's just a visit. In your home, I care for your pets just like my own. About: I'm a professional and responsible caretaker of 25 years now, of dogs, cats, children, the elderly and residential family homes as well as commercial properties, and I love it more with each passing year! I am a personable and energetic companion, with an infinite amount of love for all animals. There's nothing that I'm unable to do and no job too big or too small. I own my home and would be thrilled to board any number of pets for any amount of time. I value this opportunity to be your best friend's home away from home and give them all of the love that you would give to them, because they deserve it and so do you! It such a rewarding and touching experience to enjoy the same animals loving me more and more over time, and eventually just being affectionate as can be! I love knowing that I can send you pictures(as often as you'd like) of your fur baby, giving you relief and knowing that not only is your dog safe and nurtured, but happy and loved! I've always said that I just want to cuddle with dogs all day and still pay my bills haha. Although I was mostly joking, how amazing is it that I can actually make that dream a reality!!😻 Maybe mans' best friend but your dog is also my best friend too...if you could please just help to introduce us to each other. Thank you for your consideration Best Kelly I have a fairly flexible part time work schedule, of 20-25 hours per week, that I'm unavailable. But Saturday and Tuesday I have wide open full availability, so I am ready and willing to meet your needs all day & night (including overnights/boarding), on any Tuesday or Sunday! I am also available in the mornings until 10am , and 3pm or after every day of the week! I'm available early morning and late afternoon, evening and nights, all 7 days of the week! The only time that I am unavailable is from 9:30am-3pm Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday, and 8:30am-3pm on Saturdays. So I am available from 6am-9:30am and after 3pm on Mon, Wed-Fri, from 6am-8:30am and after 3pm on Saturday, and all day & night long on Tuesdays& Sundays. Available at or after 3pm and for the rest of the day & night, all 7 days of the week! Can do overnights/ boarding as well😁 Thank you 🤙 I treat every animal as if they were my own child! It's hard enough to be away from their parents at all, so I am just as positive, affectionate, loving and comforting as I can possibly be, so your pets feel comfortable and at peace. I communicate with the pet and/ or homeowner to find out exactly what they expect from me, and always write down all of the specifics of animal care(food & water and frequency, medicines, restrictions, if they go outside or stay inside, things they like or find comfort in like their favorite toy or treat to ensure that feel as much at home as I can make them feel) so I don't forget anything important! I usually reread the list everyday that I'm there, just to be sure not to miss anything. Lastly I always spend the last hour or day cleaning up after myself & the pet, to leave things nicer than I found them. Whether it's taking their trashcan to the road and gathering their mail, along with washing their dishes and making sure the bathroom and kitchen are nice & clean for them to come home to. Or it could be giving the dog a bath if I'm not house sitting as well. Basically if you're going to pay me to do something, I'm going to make it worth your while and be as helpful, clean and efficient as possible! Just a basic rundown in addition to feeding and walking and picking up after said animal, I like to go above and beyond what is expected of me. I reach for the best customer service I can possibly provide, to hopefully create a very happy dog and parents, as well as a repeat customer! If you hire me, you will not regret it! I am happy to care for your pet in my own home, or to travel to your home. Whatever is preferred and easiest for you 😊 Thank you for your consideration -Kelly

Amber was Awesome. We contacted her on short notice, and she showed up right away to meet everyone on our little farm. Rynn our little 6lb Shorkie Poo took to her right away and he is usually the hard one because he is the boss, and Bodie the 100 lb Lab loves everyone. Plus the cat, bird and 11 ducks all loved her. We even found some of her own little treats she brought for he kids. If you are looking for a loving, caring, respectful person for your fur babies Amber is the one for you. Thanks you so much Amber Dave & Jen

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
