“Samantha and her family gave my Riley lots of love and attention, even taking her to an event they went to!! She took her on walks and gave her lots of play time with another pup she watches during the week. I will definitely be booking again so Riley can get lots of loving when we go out of town!!”

“Dani was amazing! She had everything already set up to welcome little Blueberry into her home. She was sweet and kind. Blueberry was instantly right at home. Dani took great care of her and sent pictures every day. I will definitely be leaving Blueberry with Dani again when I go out of town!”

“Bear and Norman were loved and cared for beyond our expectations. Vicky and her sweet family welcomed both dogs in and treated them as their own. I would highly recommend anyone wanting a safe, loving and warm environment for their fur babies, look no further. Thank you Vicky!”

About: I once had 13 cats I cared for. I now have a dog and a cat of my own. I enjoy spending time with animals. I can host up to 2 dogs a night in my home. I have a large yard they can play and do their business in. I have a crate they can use if needed or they can sleep on the couch or floor. If you prefer I can come to your home and sit with your animals, I would need to leave a few times a day to come home and care for my own pets. I can administer any needed medications. I have cared for sick animals in the past. Currently can work with my laptop anywhere there is an internet connection. Happy to sit with your pets or stop by for visits several times a day. If they are brought for boarding I can give them breaks as often as needed. I can crate your dog if needed at night. I can walk your dog. I have a large yard for your dog to play in.
About: I ran a pet nutritional building for two years, I also was in charge of feline foster care, as well as walking dogs in our neighborhood in Pennsylvania. I have a soft spot for animals of all kinds. Daytime hours are preferred, willing to do nights for comeback clients. I’m located in lancaster so depends on how far the drive. Whatever is most convenient for your needs. I do not normally do in-home pet care, I will sit during the day, but I will not do overnights in house unless special request. I will do walks, and drop in visits make sure your baby gets lots of energy burnt out.
“NatalieJean was excellent. Provided pictures daily and kept me updated through the app. Our flight home was delayed slightly but NatalieJean was very accommodating and we were able to pick Molson up that evening.”

About: Hi Everyone, My name is Penny and thank you for considering me as your Pet Caregiver. I have had pets (mostly dogs) in my life since a very young child. The unconditional love they provide always makes my heart smile and I will always care for your fur babies as if they are my own :) I have spent the last 20 years caring for my own 4 very special dogs and unfortunately it came time for them to cross the rainbow bridge due to age. I miss caring for them and would love to now spend my time assisting you in caring for your Fur Baby. I have had the pleasure of caring for my neighbors animals (including chickens) while they have traveled and can provide references upon request. I look forward to meeting with you and your beloved pets 🐾 I am currently a caretaker for an elderly post surgical neighbor and have a lot of free time most days. I would love the opportunity to care for your dog or cat when you are unable to be at home for them :) I am trustworthy and reliable to take care of your precious fur babies on my down time. I will follow all of your instructions and give them all the love they need while you are away.
“Kataryna is a wonderful pet sitter, and we are so grateful to have met her! She took excellent care of our cats during their stay at her home. You can immediately tell how much she cares about animals. She had an entire room in her home dedicated for the cats to stay in until they were comfortable moving more freely around. We plan to have her pet sit for us again in the future and would recommend her to anyone in the area looking for a responsible and caring sitter!”

“Taylor and Will were amazing with our 80lb Cane Corso American Bully. Taylor was the loving Auntie sending pics, and Uncle Will was the mentoring trainer fun guy. Dakota definitely learned family farm life, which every dog should experience. We will be visiting again <3 Thank you for loving our dog as much as we do!”

“Denise is very caring and very knowledgeable about small dogs, we didn't give her a whole lot of notice, and she watched my fur baby!! Thanks again Denise for loving our Duke‼️‼️‼️❤️”

“Shaye did an awesome job taking care of my dog, Riley. She sent pictures nearly every day, communicated great and provided a superb environment for Riley. I will board Riley with her in the future without hesitation. Highly recommend!”

“The girls love it there. I got several pictures a day from Stephanie showing how happy they were. They have a buddy in KOA. It’s a relief to know they are so well cared for.”

“Rebecca boarded my puppy for several days, and I have never been more impressed with any dog sitter in my life. She is a genuinely kind person, and, upon meeting her, I immediately knew she was someone I could trust. She sent photos and descriptions of him having a fantastic time with her every day, and I can tell that he thoroughly enjoyed himself while under her gentle care. I honestly would not have felt more at ease unless I was watching him myself. Her house is tidy and charming, and her children are absolute darlings who are great with animals. Also, if all of that wasn't enough, he chewed his bowl and she sweetly purchased a new one for him! I am so thankful that I found her.”

“I feel that Lexi was well taken care of. Helen was attentive and did whatever needed to be done to make Lexi feel wanted and comfortable. I could not have chosen a better caregiver for my little sweetie pie. I think that a part of her didn’t want to leave Helen”

I recently lost my sweet Golden, Maddie to cancer in June 2026. I do have a Facebook page for her and my son‘s dog, River. if you would like to see it, just say the word. I just can’t live without animals in my life but I’m not ready to get another one yet. I have many years experience of dog sitting for my son who is a truck driver and friends. I’ve had several dogs and cats and 1 bunny throughout my life. I’ve had dogs ranging in sizes small to large. Keeper, who was a Chiweenie lived to be 19. And Jenny, who was an Akita lived to be 12. Ive had several cats over the years, Daisy, Cupcake, Mouser, Alice and Nub Wagger. I am interested in dog walking, in-home visits/check in’s and boarding overnight in my home. I have a fenced in back yard where there’s plenty of room to run and play. I live in a quiet neighborhood. It would be my pleasure to spend time with your babies as I show them love and receive their love right back. I am a home health nurse that works Friday through Sunday and have the majority of my Monday through Thursdays are free. I am interested in dog walking, check in visits and dog sitting for you in my home. If I am boarding overnight, I only take 1 dog at a time so your dog will have my undivided attention. I have a fenced in yard and live in a quiet neighborhood. The fence being the main reasons why I chose my home. Only the best for my Maddie. Life has been very empty since she passed from cancer in June in 2026. I would like to fill my yard back up with positive energy, happiness and love from more animals.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Satsuma home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Satsuma.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Satsuma sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
