About: Hi, My name is Maarten and twenty-nine years ago, I applied for an internship at Artis, a zoo in Amsterdam. As luck would have it, I didn't get the job and life took me in a different direction. Now I am 45 years old and fate has finally delivered me to a spot where I can get back to my childhood dream of working with animals. I grew up in a household filled with animals: dogs, cats, guinea pigs, fish, rats and parrots. This nurtured a wide knowledge of animal care. Over the years, we've had 9 dogs, all of which I trained myself. At the moment, I am raising a 1.5 year old German Shepherd and a 6 month old BullMastiff mix. I want to say that over the years, dogs have grown especially close to my heart. To be honest, they have completely taken over. At the moment, I work part-time as a kennel attendant for S.A.F.E. Pet Rescue. Although I consider it a dream job, my long-term goal is to open up my own doggy daycare. Approach to Dog Walking: I believe that every dog is unique and deserves the utmost care and respect. I approach dog walking with a big smile and a warm heart. My goal is to create a fun and lively experience for your dog, making each walk a joyful adventure. During our walks, I'll ensure your furry friend's safety and well-being, while also encouraging positive behavior. Wednesday and Thursday I work for S.A.F.E. Animal Shelter. The rest of the week I am available between 08:00 and 15:30. Evening visits can be planned by special request. The safety of your pets and property are my main focus. Before you take me on as your pet profesional we will go over your dog's/cat's strengths and weaknesses to ensure a healthy happy and safe experience.

About: Growing up my family always had cats and dogs, so I’ve been around them my whole life. Pets bring so much love and fun into your life, they are a part of the family and they are so important. I will care for your pet like they are my own. I have a 5 year old poodle named Lola who I love with my whole heart. My qualifications- I’ve taken care of older cats for a neighbor, I’ve housesat for friends and family who have pets, and I volunteered at an animal shelter for over a year, where I would clean kennels, take dogs on walks, play with cats, and organize and paint the shelter. Thank you for considering me as your pet-sitter! ❤️ I have flexible hours, because I work as a door dasher, but pet-sitting/walking is my preferred job, so I can be available whenever I am needed. In my home, my dog Lola has access to food and water 24/7, and I take her outside every 4 hours or so during the day. She lets me know when she needs to go outside. In your home, I can provide any feeding/walking schedule that your pet is used to. I’m very easy-going and adaptable to anything.

About: Very patient and attentive with all my fur babies. Anyone who has ever owned a pet knows how much of a labor of love is required to be a pet parent. I’m always open to providing as much needed walks and belly rubs as possible so that your fur baby gets all the necessary attention. I have plenty of time to help with pet care. I try to make my schedule as flexible as possible, more or less depending on the pet owner needs. I usually make sure the environment is pet friendly and hide all small items that any pet could accidentally ingest, make sure that all of their toys are near, and medications that they need are nearby also. Sure that they have plenty of water and food for their liking or dependent on the specifications of the owner based up their pets needs. And try to make sure that they have something that smells like their owner near so they aren’t weary of their absence.

About: I have many years experience with dogs. I currently have a German Shepard pup who is like one of our children. I believe in healthy, homemade treats and lots of exercise! Walks are a favorite of ours as well as homemade ice cream treats in warmer months. In cooler months, we have a heated garage to play in and still do walks, just shorter. I have 2 small children who love animals and are respectful. I am a big fan that animals should be treated with love and respect. I look forward to caring for your animals and making them apart of our family! Just like people, animals need companionship. We will always strive to do our best to make your family to feel safe and comfortable at all times. I work overnights and from home so there will be lots of time for play and love in our daily routine. Walks are always fun and needed, so I plan on at least 2 a day depending on the age of dog. I do not have a fenced in yard but have walking leashes where they can safely roam our back yard. We love walks and use harnesses for safety. I also have a large crate if needed while your pup visits.

I love going for walks (long or short, filled with sniffs and adventure or simple bathroom trips) and taking trips to nearby Lanier Dog Park, so your dog can get the right amount of exercise and outdoor time depending on its personality and the weather or season. I know that when you are away from your pet it can be quite anxiety inducing so I'm happy to provide frequent photo or video updates to keep you in the loop on all the fun we're having! I promise your dog will get tons of love and attention while in my care!! My wife and I both work from home doing pet care full time. Your pets will get 100% of the attention they need and deserve during a stay at our home. I have a small, fenced in yard for bathroom breaks in between longer walks. I’m able to crate your dog if needed but also fine allowing them to sleep on a sofa/dog bed/my bed if that’s what they’re used to.

I also worked at 2 different animal hospitals where I was a kennel technician. I have 2 daughters . Currently I am going backed to school to become a dog trainer.
