Dog Walkers in Sanibel, FL

About: I’m reliable, always early and upbeat. I have two dogs at present. A 10lb Havanese and a 80 pound lab. I have had cats in my lifetime but presently don’t own one. I am retired and looking for part time work to fill my time. I lost my husband two years ago to dementia/alzheimers and need to fill my time. What’s better that fur babies who are always happy to see you. I always have my pets on leash. Here on Sanibel, we have cane toads and other harmful things for pets. I do have a screened in Lanai that my dogs can use. Both of my dogs are very friendly to other animals and humans.

About: I've grown up with dogs and cats my whole life and have always been the go-to pet sitter for friends and family. I recently graduated with a degree in Biology and plan to attend veterinary school, so I take animal care seriously, whether that means recognizing subtle behavior changes or just giving them the love and attention they deserve. I have experience with senior, reactive, and more laid back pets, along with practice administering medications, and have handled animals in clinical, research, and in home settings. I’m calm, responsible, and genuinely love building trust with each pet I care for. I’m currently working in a research lab at the UW-Madison Veterinary School, which keeps me involved in animal science and care on a daily basis. Outside of that, I’d love to spend more of my time walking dogs or pet sitting when my schedule allows. It’s a great way for me to stay active, connect with animals, and do something I genuinely enjoy. I’m happy to help when I can! Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s, their safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I take time to get to know each pet’s routine, needs, and personality so I can provide care that feels familiar and stress-free. I always follow owner instructions closely, keep a clean and calm environment, and make sure pets have everything they need. I’m mindful of pet-proofing spaces and keeping doors secure, and I’m always happy to send updates so you feel confident and connected while you're away.

I love pets and will take care of yours like my own. I live a block from the beach so walking on the beach with your per could be arranged. Also if your pet has any medications I am experienced in this area too. I treat each pet like it was my own. My pets have been mostly from the dog shelters. Any special diets will be arranged ad needed. I have written many stories on the dogs I have watched. With your permission photos and his/her diary can be arranged. I can also send daily photos.
