House Sitting in Saint Joseph

“Tanya provided exceptional care for our cat and two dogs while staying over a long holiday weekend in our home. She asked excellent questions during our "meet and greet," so when it came time for us to leave our animals we knew they were in good hands. She arrived to house sit early afternoon on Friday and left late on Monday to accommodate our travel schedule. Our animals each have particular needs and personality quirks. For instance, we have one high energy dog that requires oral medication, frequent potty breaks, and long walks. Our other dog is content sleeping all day and needs to be convinced to take short walks! Plus, the energetic dog will eat the lazy dog's food if given the opportunity, so we feed them separately. Then, our cat is low maintenance, but still needs food, water, affection, and to have her box cleaned daily. Finally, the dogs wake up at 5am for breakfast (whether we're awake or not). Caring for the three of them is a lot of work and Tanya did a great job attending to their needs! We came home from vacation to happy, heathy pets and a clean house. We could not have asked for a better pet sitter. I highly recommend Tanya and would absolutely employ her services again.”

About: I've lived with and taken care of dogs for 11 years! I love all dogs and animals in general. I'll treat your pet like family, and they will be my number 1 priority while I'm taking care of them. I'll be doing a research assistantship at UIUC over the summer with 8-10 hours per week committed to that. This won't take up the majority of my time, so I'll have more than enough to take care of your wonderful pets! I'll treat your pets just as well as I treat mine. They'll get whatever care they need and plenty of extra love on top of that! I treat my client's home extremely well and make sure to clean up after myself. About: As an emerging professional, I found it to be wise to not get an animal of my own quite yet, but through this opportunity I can still be around and interact with your loving animal(s). I have interacted with an array of dogs, and currently my family has had 3 dogs. Brandy, a golden retriever who loved being outside and swimming, Jack (who is in my profile picture) a cocker spaniel who loved a good nap, and our other dog Ziggy, a long haired dachshund who has calmed down over the years but loves to great people with his loud bark. I have experience working with older dogs who require medication, so if your pup/cat needs that attention, I’ve got you covered. I like to think I’m an active person, so walks will be had as well. I also love giving animals baths, so if you are interested that can be included in my services! Thank you for your consideration! I currently have a full time job, but would have mornings, lunch, and after 5pm available to love on your pet. I make it a priority to make sure they keep their schedule and have an ample amount of attention. I think keeping pets in their homes is especially important when their parents are away, so that’s why I am more than happy to come to them. Just like humans, I want to make sure they feel loved and cared for even when you are not there. I love to cuddle and play with all the pets I watch as well so they will not be missing out on attention (haha)!

About: Hi! I would love to meet your pet and work with you to ensure a great dog walking/sitting experience! I have years of experience starting as a dog sitter for neighbors growing up and now taking in a variety of clients and breeds. I’m comfortable with small or big dogs. I am currently studying at University which gives me a less rigid schedule than someone working a 9-5. My class breaks give me the perfect opportunity to take the time to know your pet and give them some exercise and engagement! I think it’s important that your pet feels familiar and comfortable with me and so I typically advocate for a meeting with you the owner there before I dog sit to make sure your pet can adjust easier.

About: I started rescuing dogs around 8 years ago and that’s when I knew I found my passion. I’m a nurse through the week, and a professional dog snuggler on the weekends! 😆 My husband and I have 7 rescue dogs of our own that have all attended some type of training, and we continue to use the tools we have learned to work with them daily. Our home has a 6ft privacy fenced in yard and our dogs enjoy running around with friendly playmates! We also have a dedicated dog room in the house for pups that may need to be separated from others as well. We don’t force interactions between our dogs and yours - we let your dog take things at their own pace to ensure a safe and positive introduction. We have been pet sitters countless times over the years for friends and family and dogs of all sizes, and we look forward to meeting you and your fur baby! We are available for dog boarding in our home during the week and on weekends. We can accomodate drop in visits on weekends mostly due to our work schedules, but reach out to check our schedules! Drop ins in St Joseph / Ogden / Royal / Sidney area only I have a fully fenced yard with a dog door so the pups are free to run around as they please (with supervision). I also have my own dogs that love to play with other friendly dogs. I also have a dedicated dog room with multiple dog beds and crates for pets that need to stay separated from others.

About: I have had cats most of my life. (40+) We have two English Bulldogs. We Know how to give pills to Dogs and Cats Sam has worked in the kennels at a vet clinic. We have taken puppy training classes. Sam loves every animal under the sun. Sam is a senior in high school, and I am a work at home mom. Between the two of us we are available pretty much anytime. Large yard and family that give lots of love. We have two puppies to play with but we can keep them separate if needed. Normally we go to others’ homes, but if you have small puppies we can bring them to our home!
