“Kathleen was fantastic! I would recommend her to anyone in a heartbeat. During our meet and greet she came prepared with questions I hadn’t even considered to make sure that she felt that she could be a good fit for my dog Tiger. I felt super comfortable and confident leaving Tiger with her. Throughout the stay she texted me updates and pictures, so I was always in the loop. Tiger really liked her, and so did I. I will be booking with her again, and would recommend her services to anyone looking for care for their fur baby!”

“Alecia is amazing. She is great with my kitties, attentive to detail, and communicates about what is going on with them. She stayed here for four days, and I came back to a home that was as clean as when I left it. Thank you, Alecia! I was lucky to find her through Rover and hope she can help next time I travel!”
“Bethany took great care of our boys while we were out of town. She sent updates and pictures multiple times throughout her time dog/house sitting for us. We will def have her watch them again for our future vacations. Highly recommended to take care of your fur babies.”

“Katie was great taking care of our dog while we were on vacation. She showed up when she said she would, spent some quality time with him, and sent plenty of pictures and status updates. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again!”

“Crystal did a terrific job taking care of Toby again! He seems so comfortable with her and settles in quickly. She is very attentive & checks in with me several times a day with photos too. She cleaned up too & my house looks just like when I left. Thanks Crystal! I will book again!”

“Victoria watched our two huskies and did an amazing job. The dogs clearly love her peaceful and fun disposition. She took them on walks, followed our requests for their care, and kept the house in tip top shape. Big Victoria fan!!!”

“Levi was amazing. Literally nothing could have been better. Jeronimo took to him like a duck to water and cuddles with him. He’s amazing with my pup and look forward to booking again for all my future needs! Levi respected my home, and it was left in pristine condition. He took very good care of Jeronimo and sent me frequent updates and photos. I could literally not be happier. I’d say you should book him, but don’t because I don’t want his availability taken from me. 😂”

“Brooke was fantastic with our two dogs and took great care of our house while we were away. Great communication and beautiful update photos. Really appreciated the assistance and we will definitely be a repeat booker. Thank you Brooke!”

“Nothing but positive things to say about Suzanne. I have a rescue pittie who gets overstimulated very easily and was also needing medication during Suzanne’s stay and everything went great. Wonderful communication, lots of pictures and you could tell Suzanne gave my dog lots of love.”

“This was our first experience hiring a pet sitter and we couldn’t be more pleased with Jessalyn! Our pets were very well taken care of! We have already scheduled with her for next month. Thanks, Jessalyn!”
“Andrea is the BEST!! Literally book her while you still can!!!! It was my first time using Rover for my kitten and I was super anxious about everything but I quickly realized she is in great hands with Andrea! She connected with my kitten and learned what she likes and treated her like her own fur baby! Andrea sent me updates and pictures through out which gave me lots of reassurance. Andrea stayed at my apartment and left it so clean and perfect! Also, Andrea is literally just the sweetest person you will ever meet and you can tell she genuinely cares and wants the best for your pet!!! I cannot say enough great things about her!!”

“Shea was wonderful! Not only did she do this for a week before (our bad), but she was so caring and attentive to our 2 dogs. They are high energy most of the time unless they have someone to snuggle 🙂!! Thank you so much for your care! We are so appreciative! We will definitely be reaching back out to shea for further service with our dogs as she made us feel very comfortable. :)”

“AmariYah was excellent. Great communicator, intentional in asking questions about my cat and her needs, and was very attentive and sent pictures with each visit. Highly recommend, and would definitely contact her for care in the future.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Saint Bernard
Nichole is the best dog sitter we’ve ever had. She took care of our two huskies with love, excellence, and attention to detail. She went above and beyond giving them stimulation and exercise and left our home spotless. Genuinely such a lovely person. We are so grateful for your amazing work, Nichole!

Crazy dog mom here- I always get nervous when I leave my pup with new people but Crystal made me feel immediately at ease. Lots of pictures and updates. Sadie girl even slept in the bed with her on the first night (which she never does with new people) and seemed to love Crystal. If you are looking for the best dog sitter ever- it is Crystal!

Audrey was fantastic. Both our dogs loved her. She arrived promptly, was profession, and very friendly. She was amendable to help keep the dogs on their routines. She provided updates as well. This was our first time using Rover and Audrey has sold us on the service. We will definitely be booking her again for our dog sitting needs.

We rebooked Shea & that should tell you all how much you can trust and use her services. We had a small turnaround for a family vacation we had planned & she was available and willing to help out our family. Extremely thankful for her being able to stay with our dogs & provide them with love and care while we were away. Highly recommend Shea for your care for dogs / pets. We feel very comfortable with our dogs but also our home!! Thank you Shea! We are grateful!

Alecia is an absolutely incredible dog sitter. She kept me regularly informed of how Bobbis day went and sent lots of pics. In addition she left the house in immaculate condition and Bobbi seemed incredibly chilled and relaxed when I got home. Bobbi also has some special requirements due to previous health injuries and again she accommodated these so well. A huge thank you Alecia.

Christopher was wonderful! It was our first time ever using Rover and we were a bit nervous to give it a try. Christopher made us feel comfortable from the minute he stepped in for our meet and greet. He sends so many pictures and is very communicative which is great. Highly recommend and will be using him again in the future. Thank you Christopher!

Brooke was absolutely wonderful! My dog can be a nervous gentleman, and he took to Brooke immediately during both the intro visit and when they arrived prior to our deprture. They were on time, communicative, flexible, and thoughtful in their care of my big man. They sorted through all of my doofus' oddities with ease. I feel *so* fortunate to have found them and look forward to being able to travel in the future knowing Marv is in the best hands!

Carson was great with our golden retriever puppy, Wilson! He was super responsive and frequently sent me photo updates during his stay. We were so lucky to have found Carson for our last minute trip out of town - I know Wilson had a great time and would highly recommend booking with him!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Saint Bernard on Rover is $36.89 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of September 2026, there are 1,334 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Saint Bernard. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Saint Bernard walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Saint Bernard maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Saint Bernard choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Saint Bernard. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
