Layla was so incredibly patient and understanding with our boy Maverick. He is a very shy big boy who can look scary but he is the biggest of babies. On the first walk when we were gone he didn’t want to leave the apartment she was wonderfully patient and understanding of his feelings and hesitation. After that walks were great and he perked up more and more with each walk🥹 we will definitely use her again

I love being outside, the park and the beach. I can throw a ball or snuggle with the best. I have no problem giving baths and grooming needs. I am responsible, reliable, punctual, loving, and caring. I can walk to your house downtown.I have no problem coming to your home and caring for your pets. I have a pooch of my own. It is easier for me to come to you. I would love to be a part of your doggy routine whether it is daily, weekly, monthly, or as you need it. I am here for your convenience! Currently only working part time. My schedule is flexible to meet your needs. I can do multiple drop ins in a day or stay at your house to help in whatever way your fur baby needs! My biggest concern is the welfare of your animals. About: I am a physical therapy student looking to make alittle money during this time. I have grown up with dogs and cats my whole life. I am a proud cat and dog mom of a 6-year-old black lab that I have raised since she was a puppy and a 3-year-old cat. I currently have a flexible schedule, so I end up with more time on my hands than I know what to do with. This is great because I can then play and walk your fur babies when they need it. I enjoy walking my dog outside and when my cat likes to go on walks he tend to join as well. I make sure that harnesses or collars are appropriately put on to ensure safe and fun walking. If you are in need of a bath for your dog, I am available to do that as well. I am not a professional, but I have experience in bathing and drying, labs, boykin spinals, and labrodoodles. I currently have my own professional pet drying machine as well for quicker drying.

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life, and caring for them comes naturally to me. For the past 17 years, I had the joy of raising and loving my two poodles, who were truly part of the family. They both sadly passed away earlier this year, just two months apart, and I’m now craving the love, energy, and joy that only dogs can bring. I’ve also cared for dogs of friends and family over the years, and I always treat every pet with the same love and attention as my own. Whether it’s cuddles, playtime, or peaceful walks, I’m here to offer a safe, loving, and reliable experience for your pet. I work from home with a flexible schedule, so I have plenty of time to take care of your pup, I can take them out as often as needed I have a large, open backyard with no fence. Although I don't currently have any pets of my own, I’ll devote all my attention, love, and time to yours.

About: I've had dogs my entire life and have over 8 years of hands-on experience caring for my own German Shepherd, along with my Goldendoodle. Through owning and caring for large, high-energy dogs, I've developed a strong understanding of the exercise, structure, patience, and attention they need to thrive. I'm also a Rover customer myself. I understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy, dependable, and communicative when leaving your pets in someone else's care. I provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident that your pets are safe, happy, and well cared for. I have experience with large dog breeds, high-energy dogs, puppies, and multi-dog households. I'm also comfortable administering oral medications and following specific care instructions to help maintain your pet's normal routine. Because I work from home, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide attentive care during walks, drop-in visits, and house sitting stays. My goal is always to make your pets feel comfortable and cared for while giving you peace of mind when you're away. I treat every pet as if they were my own and look forward to getting to know your furry family members! Pet care is already a big part of my daily routine. As I currently work from home and I’m an dog owner, I'm used to structuring my day around walks, exercise, feeding schedules, playtime, and providing consistent care and attention. My flexible schedule allows me to accommodate drop-in visits, dog walks, and house sitting throughout the week, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. I enjoy staying active and spending time with animals, so caring for pets fits naturally into my lifestyle. When caring for pets in a client's home, my top priorities are safety, consistency, and making your pet feel comfortable while you're away. I take the time to learn your pet's routine, including feeding schedules, exercise needs, medications, and any special instructions, so they can maintain the structure they're used to. As a dog owner myself, I understand how important trust is when someone is caring for your pets and home. I treat every home with respect, keep pets securely leashed or contained as instructed, and pay close attention to their behavior and well-being. I'm experienced with large and high-energy dogs and understand the importance of safe handling, exercise, and supervision. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can stay informed and have peace of mind while you're away. My goal is for both you and your pets to feel comfortable, confident, and cared for throughout the entire visit or stay.

About: I was raised on a farm where dogs were part of everyday life and treated like family. Growing up around working and companion dogs taught me responsibility, consistency, and a deep respect for animals from a young age. I’ve been dog sitting since I was 12 and have experience with dogs of all ages and needs, from high-energy puppies to senior dogs with hip or mobility issues who require help with eating, walking, and bathroom breaks. I understand that every dog is different, and I take the time to follow their routines, energy levels, and comfort needs closely. I have trained all of my own dogs and can be trusted to reinforce any training, commands, or routines you already have in place while you’re away for the day or on vacation. My priority is making sure your dog feels safe, loved, and cared for just like they would at home, while giving you complete peace of mind. I’m working part time starting 2.13.26 so my availability is going to be very flexible. My weekends are fully open and I can work with your needs. I can come to you or your fur baby can come to me. I can take dogs at my apartment for day sitting only if they’re good with other dogs. I have 1. We have tons of places to go adventuring. I will also come to your house when and if needed. Let’s discuss your needs.

About: I’m dependable, communicative, and detail-oriented, and I make it a priority to keep pet parents updated with photos and messages so they always have peace of mind while away. I understand that every animal has different needs and personalities, so I take the time to make them feel comfortable, safe, and genuinely cared for instead of treating them like “just another booking.” I’m also comfortable caring for pets with different energy levels and needs, including: * Puppies who need patience, consistency, potty breaks, and structure * Senior pets who may need slower walks, extra comfort, medication reminders, or gentle care * Shy or anxious pets who need time, calm energy, and reassurance * Active dogs who benefit from playtime, walks, and engagement I just moved from New Jersey to St. Augustine. I use to pet sit and walk dogs for my neighbors so looking to build my client list here! I have full time availability. I provide a safe, calm, and loving environment where pets feel comfortable and cared for like family. I pay close attention to each pet’s routine, personality, energy level, and any special instructions from the owner to help them feel secure while you’re away. In my client’s home, I respect the pet’s normal schedule as much as possible, including feeding times, walks, potty breaks, playtime, medications, and bedtime routines. I also provide regular updates, photos, and communication so owners feel connected and reassured.

About: Animals aren't just a hobby for me—they have been my entire life. I have been proudly caring for dogs and cats since I was a child, and for over twenty years, I have successfully raised and parented both on my own. Because of this lifelong devotion, I am deeply fluent in both "dog" and "cat," understanding their unique personalities, cues, and needs at a core level. When your fur baby stays with me, they aren't just being "watched"; they are being welcomed into a home backed by decades of hands-on expertise and a lifetime of genuine love. You can enjoy your time away with absolute peace of mind, knowing your best friend is in the hands of an experienced, dedicated, lifelong pet advocate. By day, I am a proud, full-time 12-month employee with the St. Johns County School District. Because of my weekday commitment to our schools, I dedicate my weekends entirely to your fur babies! I treat your home with the utmost respect and follow your exact instructions to the letter. During my visits, I don't just rush in and out; I make sure your pet gets quality one-on-one time. For dogs, that means brisk walks, fresh water, and active play. For cats, it means clean litter boxes, fresh food, and interactive play or gentle socialization depending on their mood.

About: As an animal lover and pet owner myself, I have had the joy of caring for cats and dogs for many years. I have experience in feeding, walking, and caring for young and old pets, and in doing so I have earned the trust in neighbors, friends, and family. I am excited to bring the same care to you and your pets! I am currently staying at home and caring for my son, so my schedule is pretty open for the time of day that is needed. I’m so thankful with the help we are receiving from Aisling. We had a wonderful experience with her and couldn’t be happier. She was extremely professional from the start and took the time to meet my girl Siggy beforehand, which meant so much to me. My girl, Siggy, is very shy at first, and she was incredibly kind, patient, and gentle with her, instantly making her feel more comfortable. It was clear she truly cares about the dogs she works with. I feel completely at ease and will absolutely be using her again in the future, especially for overnight stays. I highly recommend!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
