“Colleen was wonderful. She met us before the first walk and did a great job with our dog Seija. She was friendly and communicated well. We enjoyed the photos and videos she shared of the walks. I will use Colleen again when I return to Saint Augustine.”
About: I’ve always had dogs of my own and truly see them as family. I’m used to the everyday stuff—walks, playtime, feeding, and lots of love—and I know how much the little routines matter. If you’re looking for someone who will treat your pup like their own, I’d love to help. I’m new to the area and have lots of free time, so pet care easily fits into my day. I love being outside and see walking dogs as a great way to explore the neighborhood while giving them the exercise and attention they need. Since my schedule is wide open, I can be flexible and available when you need me. When I do drop-ins, I make sure your pet gets everything they need—fresh food and water, potty breaks, playtime, and some extra love and attention. For walks, I’ll match your dog’s energy, whether that’s a long stroll to burn off energy or a shorter walk for a slower pace. I always treat pets like they’re my own and follow any routines or instructions you leave for me.
“I used Adrienne when i was injured and couldnt take my pup for a walk. She's great with my little dog who gets separation anxiety when he leaves for his walks.”

About: I have been babysitting and pet sitting for the past 8 years. I understand dog body language very well. Once a dog opens up to me I understand their personality and routines quickly. Over the years I have taken care of many family dogs and love getting to know each one of them individually. I understand the need for a trustworthy sitter as I was very picky with my childhood dog. I deeply care for animals and see them as pure souls. I am leaving Conneticut for summer break May 20th I will be back by the start of September My current final exam schedule for May 11th Monday/Tuesday: available after 10am Wednesday: Available after 12:30pm Thursday: Available until 4:30pm Multiple Daily walks, lots of playing and cuddling, Walks to stanley park, Swimming if your dog is allowed to I have a big backyard perfect for playing fetch and I live right next to Stanley Park for long hikes. “Great communication, have our 2 dogs lots of love and playtime. Price for 1 hour was well worth it. My husband and I highly recommend Kelly for daytime care..”

About: Just moved to Saint Augustine from Colorado where I had experience caring for lots of animals. Dogs, cats, ferrets, bunnies, tortoises and turtles. I just love animals and happy to meet yours! I do this on the side and will only accept when I am fully available. I have one older shitzu and 2 ferrets but can keep separate if needed. Both. I live in apartment so I would only take one at a time so that I can provide individual care. I have two ferrets and an older Shih Tzu.
About: I work full-time from home and have experience caring for cats and dogs of all ages and temperaments, including senior, shy, anxious, and special needs pets. I also have animal rescue experience and am comfortable with medications, special diets, and individualized care. Pet care is already part of my daily routine, and working from home gives me flexibility to fit visits and care into my schedule easily. I’m intuitive with animals and quickly pick up on their moods, personalities, and comfort levels, while keeping their routines familiar and stress free in their home.
“Hanna is as sweet as my dog lol. She always shows up on time and with a good attitude. She gives the dog a great walk and my dog is starting to get excited when she thinks Hanna is coming. I would highly recommend her.”

About: I think dog’s are awesome animals and they are so loyal. I love being around dogs and seeing their true personalities come out. One day I would live to have a dog, but I want to wait until I have a backyard to let them run. I work a 9-5, but I am remote. This gives me flexibility to tend to your animals needs. Animals are like toddlers and need a lot of care and attention. This is an important thing to remember for any animal owner. I will treat any animal as if they are my own. Every animal on this planet deserves to be treated with love and compassion. In time of their owners absence, it is especially important to make them feel safe and loved.
“Alexandra went above and beyond my expectations with my two pups. She is knowledgeable and caring. On time and ready. I'll use her again. She is a no worries caretaker for my pups! Highly recommend her...”

About: I have a soft spot for all animals and treat all pets as if they were my own. As I grew up around many types of animals since I was a kid, I know how much they mean to us. I make sure they are taken care of and loved! I have full time availability currently. I am usually up around 5/6am so I am happy to do early mornings. I am up for late night drop ins as well if needed. I do not have a yard but I love to take the dogs to parks and walk around. If they are potty trained, I am more than happy to keep them in my house.
“Jenna is a rockstar! My pups are not the easiest (to say the least) so her patience and persistence with them is incredible. My kiddos really enjoy their time with her. It’s wonderful having the peace of mind and confidence knowing that they are well taken care of in her care while I’m away. Highly recommend!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
