“This was the first extended stay with Sarah. Our Yorkie mix did great. Sarah’s background as a vet tech gave us confidence in his care. I know our Yorkie had a good time because we was super happy and excited when we arrived to pick him up and he was calm and relaxed on the drive home. With other sitters, the drive home he has been anxious with heavy panting. Thank you Sarah for your comforting care!”

“Amelia is great! This is our first time using Rover and based on her reviews, we went with her. We are so glad we met her! She was amazing with Jojo, he is very hyper (we are working on it), and she was so patient and helpful. She is very knowledgeable about dogs and it shows in her care. We will definitely be using her again!!! Thank you Amelia!”

“Colleen was great!! She gave updates and photos throughout the day and was always quick to respond. My pup and her pup got along great! Would definitely recommend Colleen 😊”

About: I’ve had dogs all of my life and started professionally pet sitting about 10 years ago when I retired. I have a fenced yard and can also walk your dogs throughout in my neighborhood if it’s under 50 lbs (for safety reasons). I’m 75 and am home during the day to cuddle your furry babies! Most days, I’ll go out to run errands or go to the gym. I like to take a walk in the morning by myself around my neighborhood. I’m at home the rest of the day usually unless I have an appointment. I have a fenced backyard and a screened in porch. I don’t require a crate for your dog or cat as long as they are potty trained.
“Brad is an excellent care taker of my 17 year old Morkie. Lucky is blind and trying to live out the remianing years in the best way possible. Having someone care for him when I need to travel is essential. Brad treats lucky as if its his own. Lucky always is comfortable with his stay there, getting special care and attention. I highly recommended Brad for your pet, no matter the age or breed.”

“Rachel did an amazing job looking after my dog over a 10-day vacation that I had. She was very communicative and supplied updates alongside pictures for the ease of any anxiety I would have leaving my baby in her care. She also asked if certain behaviors were normal or abnormal for my dog further allowing me to know she was really attentive to how he was behaving and what he needed. Would definitely book again!”

“Rebecca and Michael were amazing! I had no worries while my fur baby was staying with them. They sent me lots of pictures of their activities and always made me feel at ease. Would highly recommend them!”

“Omg what an incredible find on Rover! Traci was an absolute joy to meet! Friendly, personable and we could tell immediately she would love our dog in our absence. Their home is a one level property with a fenced in back yard. Our labradoodle (Hotah) is not used to having a sliding glass door open that he could go in and out at free will. I know he was in heaven. Traci text me several times with updates on how he was doing along with photos. We felt so comfortable touring around St. Augustine, Florida and leaving him with her. She liked his snuggles as much as he liked hers. I am definitely recommending them as a couple to care for your pet. I will not use anyone else when I am in the area unless I absolutely could not get them. Thank you so much Traci & Alex for opening up your home and your loving arms to care for our furry friends!!”

“Renee was once again awesome. My cat, Juice, is very comfortable with her and she’s gives all the right details when filling out the reports at the end of every visit. Highly recommend!”

“We have had Kelly for several visits now and she is 100% kitty (and owner) approved! She is prompt, takes great photos and communicates clearly and quickly. I would recommend her to any of my pet owning friends!!”

“Michelle did a wonderful job caring for our two cats, Mila and Rudy, during our 7-day trip. She was professional, reliable, and gave us peace of mind while we were away. She sent daily updates and photos whenever she could find our two little hiders, which we really appreciated! When we returned home, the litter boxes were clean, the water bowls were fresh, and most importantly, Mila and Rudy were happy and well cared for. It was clear that Michelle took her responsibilities seriously and treated our cats with kindness and care. We are grateful for her help and would be happy to have her watch Mila and Rudy again in the future. Highly recommend! 🐾💕”

“Alyssa took great care of my indoor kitty Normie. She left treats for her and made sure her food and water dishes were full. I really liked having the Rover cards after each visit. This was my first booking with Rover and I’m sure I’ll be using them again! Thank you so much!”

About: Through volunteer work with a cat rescue organization, I’ve provided hands-on care for stray and highly timid cats. Working with both rescue cats and my own has given me a strong understanding of cat behavior, routines, and body language. I’ve been around cats since I was a baby and currently have three of my own. I’ve also cared for cats with special needs who required daily oral medication, so I’m familiar with medication administration. Keeping litter boxes clean is second nature, and I pay close attention to routines, behavior changes, litter box habits, and all the small details that help keep cats healthy, comfortable, and stress-free.

“Mariana was such a WONDERFUL sitter for old Hilbert!! She took him for 2 walks, dried him off after getting stuck in the rain, and treated him like he belonged to her! If we are ever in St Augustine again, I will definitely use her again!”

“We had such a great experience! This was a pretty last-minute booking while we were visiting St. Augustine, and she was incredibly accommodating and easy to work with from the start. Clara was well cared for and happy when we picked her up, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were out for the day. Communication was smooth, and we really appreciated her flexibility—especially when we ended up running late due to traffic. She was very understanding and kind about it, which meant a lot. We would absolutely trust her with Clara again and highly recommend her to anyone needing reliable, compassionate care!”

“Katie was wonderful with Bella! She took her on a walk, played with her, made sure she stayed entertained, and even gave her some nap time. I really appreciated the detailed updates and photos, which gave me peace of mind while Bella was in her care. Katie is so friendly, personable, and clearly loves what she does. Bella had a great time, and I felt completely comfortable leaving her in Katie’s care. I would absolutely recommend Katie to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy sitter! 🐾💕”

“Tracy is an exceptional caregiver. I have a 15 year old miniature pinscher that Tracy took care of for the day recently. Throughout the day, Tracy checked in with me via text, sending pics of my chilled out dog. I knew my dog was comfortable and calm when Tracy sent a pic of her begging for snacks. When I picked up my dog later that afternoon, she was relaxed and sleepy. Tracy is a consummate professional. After I contacted her about day care, we had a meet and greet so my dog could get acquainted with her. Tracy was on time and exhibited kindness and trustworthiness from the get go. She loves dogs and it showed. I hope to use her day care service again because I know my dog will be well taken care of. Compassion, kindness, and trustworthiness are qualities that Tracy possesses in abundance. I highly recommend her.”

I am a 42 year old mother of three. My eldest daughter is 22, my son is 17, and my youngest daughter is 1 and a half. I've been doing Rover on the side for several years now, and have met all kinds of pets. I'm always glad to be able to help families out while they're away by taking care of their dear furry friends. Originally from Middle Tennessee, my family and I recently moved to St Augustine, Florida, and are still trying to get established. Love the area very much, and hope to spend the rest of our lives here. I'm currently only doing drop-in visits for dogs as I had fleas brought in a couple of times that were passed onto other dogs. I'm sorry that I can't offer that service anymore, but I don't want to go through that again. I am also glad to keep (or do drop-in visits) for cats, rodents, and birds for a lower rate...also drop-ins for livestock, with the rate depending on the job. Dinosaurs are a little extra ;o) I just had a new baby and am on a leave of absence from my job with Metro Schools. I am available most any time for drop-in visits and walks. I will follow your instructions for their feeding and/or care and take the same precautions for their safety as I would take with my own pets.

“Leslie has been an incredible dog walker for my dog, who fell in love with her immediately—a rare occurrence for him. She is exceptionally patient and kind, and it’s clear she genuinely cares for him. I highly recommend Leslie to anyone looking for a compassionate and reliable dog walker.”

“Birdie had a great stay with Aura and her family. I appreciated the updates and photos. I was happy to see my energetic pup running around having fun with the other dogs. I will definitely rebook. Thank you!”

“Taco had an amazing stay at Bridget's. She and her entire family took care of Taco like their own despite him being a big boy . Bridget was so consistent with giving me updates and sharing pictures. Me and my husband are thoroughly pleased with their service and we will definitely send Ta o back to them anytime there is a need . Thank again for taking care of our boy!!”

“This was my first time using the app and I’m so pleased with how well it worked out. Hearher was super friendly and easy to reach out to. She sent me happy puppy pics every day and Monty had a blast with her and her family while I was out of town for the weekend. 10/10 recommend”

“Dani did a great job with our pups. They seemed really comfortable in her home and all the doggie toys that she provided for them. We will definitely leave them with her again!”

“Madison did such a great job with all my babies. She took care of my two cats and two dogs. I got picture updates which really gave me a peace of mind. When I picked them up they were happy and looked like they had a good time with all the other puppers! I will definitely be booking with her again.”

“Tracy is a wonderful caretaker. This was Rosie’s first time with her. Tracy really focused on my dog, and spent time with her to make sure was happy and having fun. She left me a lot of updates to reassure me throughout the day. I know my dog was well taken care of and had fun at her home.”

“Cindy and Troy were great with our Great Pyrenees puppy. They sent many pictures and even a video of him splashing in the kiddie pool. I was nervous about leaving him but that quickly disappeared! I would highly recommend them to anyone needing a loving place for their fur baby to stay.”

“Carismeldi was awesome! This was my first time leaving my Mason with someone new and she made me feel very comfortable. I loved getting the pictures and updates reassuring me that my baby was in good hands. I will definitely be using her again in the future!”

“Lisa treated Millie like she was her own. Lots of walks and attention. After I put her in the car, Lisa said goodbye to her and she leaned towards her instead of focusing on me. We’ll be back!”

“I was so nervous to leave Sydney for the first time, but Natalie was AMAZING!! She eased my fears and assured me she would take good care of her and she definitely did! She updated me through out the trip with lots of photos. I’m so glad we found Natalie. We will never leave her with anyone else again!!”

“We are repeat clients and are very grateful for the extra attention and care that Taqueria and her family gave Riley when she became unwell during our out of town trip. She is definitely a patient, caring and responsible!”

“Had a great experience with Samantha and Daniel! Everything went smoothly from start to finish. They have a wonderful, welcoming home that made me feel confident my dogs would be comfortable and well cared for. Communication was excellent, they were very responsive and kept me updated throughout. I would absolutely trust them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter.”
