Julia was absolutely amazing! She left the cutest little notes and sent pictures. She even asked if she can switch leaches instead of just doing so. My dog loved her from day one. She was always on time and even payed attention to my dog being to hot so she cut the walk short instead of pushing him to walk more. She noticed everything about him which was so heartwarming. She is so sweet. I even had to schedule her back to back and she was able to do fit that in to her schedule and it was very late notice! I highly recommend Julia! She will for now always walk my fur baby!

About: I've had pets of all kinds my entire life--from cats and dogs to fish and hamsters! As an adult, I've been lucky enough to call 2 cats and a dog a part of my family. I love taking dogs on walks and to the dog park to socialize and play and I also enjoy staying home with cats and giving them all the pets and playtime they want. I've done occasional pet sitting over the years, and would love to spend more time with more furry friends:) I have experience with puppies and kittens as well as senior animals and am able to administer pills or medicine. I work from home and am a stay at home mom of a toddler who is very comfortable and gentle with both cats and dogs. I have a lot of freedom to do check ins or walks throughout the day and early evening. I'm happy to check in on your fur babies in your home or take them out on walks. I can feed, play with and spend time with them based on their needs!

Amy is fantastic with the pups .... they get so excited when they see her walking up to the house. They go on long walks and come back pooped! We hired Amy when I was recovering from surgery to help us out but will be definitely hiring her on a routine basis!

About: Hi! I'm Ben, and dogs have been the best part of my day for as long as I can remember. I've cared for everything from tiny seniors with medical needs to high-energy big breed pups who love to chew. I treat every dog and cat like one of my own and I'm excited to give your pet the same love I do to my mine! I work from home full time, which means your dog gets near-constant company rather than being left alone for hours. My schedule is flexible throughout the day, so I can keep up with feeding times, regular potty breaks, walks, and play without rushing. Rover's "Safety, trust & environment" section is where owners decide whether to actually hand you their dog, so it should be concrete and specific rather than reassuring fluff. Here's a blurb covering the full range of services, with placeholders for your details: Safety is the first thing I think about with every dog in my care. For boarding, my home has an acre yard with no busy roads nearby, and I keep dogs leashed and under close watch any time we're outside or in a new environment. I stick closely to feeding routines, medication schedules, and any instructions you give me. There is no improvising with your dog's care. You'll get photo and video updates at every visit, so you always know your dog is safe and happy. If anything ever seems off, you'll hear from me right away.

About: Hello! I have owned all kind of animals throughout my entire life, including rabits, fish, hamsters, cats, and dogs. I’m a college student studying Biology Pre-Vet. I’ve also had previous dog walking and sitting experience as a Wag! Walker. I think that I have a true calling with pets. When I was just about 11 years old I would walk and care for my neighbors dog that was a huge Mastiff, and never thought anything of it. My mom always tells that story to people of how she almost had a heart attack when she saw my little self walking this giant dog. I love all dogs of all breeds and sizes! I look forward to meeting and caring for your furry friend as well!

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for friends and family for many years. My home is welcoming and pet friendly. My little Yorkie, Jackson, would love to play with your dog as well! I am a wedding planner so my schedule is usually very flexible during the week and I'm available when other people may not be. I keep my calendar up to date and do not accept bookings when I have weddings and know I will not be home to properly care for your fur-baby. I do not have a spare crate so if your dog is used to sleeping in a crate or playpen I ask you provide it.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for most of my life and have provided pet sitting services for family and friends since 2020. As a lifelong dog owner, I understand the importance of maintaining routines, recognizing behavioral cues, and creating a safe, comfortable environment for every dog. I currently care for my own dog, Tessa, and have experience with dogs of varying ages, sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. My hands-on experience includes caring for large and independent breeds such as German Shepherd/Akita mixes and Shiba Inus. Through regular pet sitting, I’ve become comfortable managing multi-dog households, administering feeding schedules, reinforcing established training routines, and providing enrichment through play, walks, and positive interactions. I’ve also lived with multiple dogs throughout college, giving me extensive experience adapting to different personalities, obedience levels, and exercise needs. I have experience supporting basic training, including house training, crate training, leash manners, and positive reinforcement techniques. Whether your dog is highly active, prefers a slower pace, or needs consistency with an existing routine, I strive to provide dependable care that helps pets feel secure while you’re away. Pet care is a regular part of my daily life. As a lifelong dog owner and experienced pet sitter, I’m used to planning my routine around feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and companionship. I’m currently a student in a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) program, which has strengthened my time management skills and attention to detail. I have clinical rotations on Mondays and Tuesdays and classes on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8–10 a.m., so I’m generally available most afternoons, evenings, Fridays, and many weekends with advance notice. I only accept bookings that fit comfortably within my schedule to ensure every pet gets the attention and care they deserve. I prioritize keeping pets comfortable by maintaining their normal routine as closely as possible. In my clients’ homes, I follow all care instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, medications, crate routines, and any training cues or household rules. Safety is always my top priority. I double-check doors, gates, leashes, and collars before going outside and make sure pets are supervised during playtime and interactions with other animals. I understand that every pet has a different personality and comfort level, so I take time to build trust at their pace—whether they need extra playtime, a calm environment, or a little extra patience. As an MLT student, I’m detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to providing regular updates and photos so owners can feel confident their pets are safe and well cared for while they’re away.

About: I love animals, big and small, wild and tame. I've never met one that I didn't consider to be a friend. Animals are the only creatures who aren't intentionally malicious and best of all, don't hold grudges. They shower you with unconditional love and so because of that I give it right back. I have had pets my entire life, mainly dogs but to me every animal is a friend. I shower them with love and affection but also understand they sometimes need their space, just like us humans do. I consider myself qualified to take care of your "furbaby" because I treat every animal as if they were my own. If you have ANY questions, please don't hesitate to send me a message! Why I love dog sitting All my life I have been an animal lover and have been a pet owner since I was 5. That is when my family and I rescued our first dog, she was a black Labrador and I named her Mrs. Dog but we also called her Elvira. My experience administering medication Yes, as long as proper instructions are provided. I have administered medication to all my animals so I have no qualms about making sure your pets receive their required and/or recommended medicine. I book 1 client at a time to ensure I am best focusing on the animals needs while owner is away. less stress is best. I do not board in home. I stay overnight in clients home to ensure animals routines are as usual as if owner was home to reduce stress of being apart.

About: Hi! I’m Connor, a Nashville local and lifelong animal lover. While I don’t currently have any pets of my own—my landlord doesn’t allow it—I deeply miss the companionship and joy they bring. That’s why I’d love to care for your pup during my evenings or weekends. I value consistency and reliability—ideal if you’re looking for a trusted regular walker or sitter. I offer: Weeknight walks starting after 5:30 pm Weekend walks & drop-ins (flexible hours) Pet sitting for weekend stays or when you’re away You can expect timely updates, photos, GPS-tracked walks, and respectful care of your home and routine. I work full-time during the week, but I’m available for evening walks after 5pm and mostly any time on weekends. Pet care fits perfectly into my schedule as long as I'm not at work, since I don’t have pets of my own but would love to spend time with yours. I’m also open to overnight sitting when you’re away. If you’re within a 10–15 minute drive from my work, I may also be able to do a 30-minute walk or drop in during my lunch break around 1pm! Allaina is an awesome dog walker. Several weeks ago she noticed blood in our dog's urine which turned out to be a urinary tract infection. Without her observational skills, the situation would have been much worse. Thank you Allaina.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
