“Meredith has been walking my big dog for about a month now. He loves her and gets really excited when I tell him she’s coming. She came for a visit to get to know him/me before she started. I am very pleased to have found her.”

About: I have been taking care of dogs and cats since I was a kid. I grew up around all types of dogs from dachshund to labs and have a 3 year old Shepard mix and 3 cats who are 6, 12, and 17. I use to house sit and walk dogs in college during the summers at Ole Miss and really enjoyed spending spending time with animals. I currently work from home so my schedule is very flexible for taking dogs out for walks anytime during the day or for just a check up and play/potty break. I have a fenced in yard and a kennel if needed. I can make sure your animals are fed/hydrated and are able to go outside whenever they need to go out.

About: I’ve had a deep love and passion for animals since I was a child. I’m known to take in strays and help them either find their home or get them to a shelter so they can be taken care of . I’m very patient with every kind of animal , puppies and juveniles are my favorite seeing as though they have the most energy . I’m currently working part-time so I have all the time to sit in house with pups or cats. I’m available to board on weekends and can even provide pickup and drop off services. I have a fenced in yard and if need be I’m open to watching them from your home. All animals are free roam unless you want them crated .

About: I love animals. I will show your pets the same love you do and treat all animals how I would like mine to be treated (like a part of the family). All services will be treated with the same amount of care. I will walk your dogs in nice parks with beautiful scenery, water bowl on hand (of course)! I have a lot of experience with dogs and puppies, big or small. I don’t discriminate against any breeds. I know how to handle them, make them comfortable, and feel secure. I fell in love with animals when I use to attend camps at the zoo and volunteer at the humane society and animal shelters. No need to worry when you’re away, your pets are in safe hands with me. ALSO EXPERIENCED IN TAKING CARE OF OTHER ANIMALS THAN DOGS/CATS (REPTILES, FISH, BIRDS OR ANY OTHER MAMILLA TYPE)

Id love to know how you take care of your fur babies so I can treat them just the same. If your furbaby has any medical needs I am also comfortable administering meds and supplements as needed. Thank you for considering me to take care of your loved ones :) I am currently awaiting for my new position with work to start so my days are extremely free at the moment. About: I’ve been pet sitting for over 6 years, offering everything from in-home care and dog walking to house sitting and cat care. Over time, I realized how much I truly love being around animals and caring for them—it never feels like work. That passion led me to become a certified pet caretaker, and I take great pride in providing safe, reliable, and loving care to every pet I meet. Whether it’s a leisurely walk, cozy cuddles, or overnight companionship, I treat every pet like my own. As a full-time pet caretaker, I have open availability and am fully committed to providing consistent, high-quality, reliable, and compassionate care whenever you need it. I care for pets in their own homes where they’re most comfortable, following their usual routines and providing safe, trustworthy, and loving care every time.
About: I’ve had dogs my entire life! Currently I do not have my own dog, but I have 3 grand pups that I watch regularly! Fitz and Poppy are brother and sister golden doodles (age 4 and 1) and Chonk is a Great Pyrenees / Labrador mix (age 1). I’ve watched them since they were puppies. In addition to owning and watching dogs, I partnered with my daughter in opening her Dog Park Bar - Ruff Canine Club - in Richmond Virginia for a year and a half - helping her to open the facility and then worked as a manager to get them up and running. During my tenure there, I dealt with a variety of dogs and temperaments. Not having a dog currently (ours crossed the rainbow bridge a few years ago) has allowed me the joy of watching my grandpups - and now want to provide that same loving, trustworthy service to other dogs and their humans. I currently work remotely part-time doing embroidery design work with no set hours, so my schedule is very flexible and can accommodate a variety of dog owners’ schedules. When I am watching my kids’ dogs, we keep a routine. Mornings are at least a one mile walk, followed by ball toss and fetch time in our fenced in back yard. We do have a pool, and the dogs are not allowed out unless I go out with them. During the day, there are periods of play and rest time and another mile walk in the evening. I have gates set up in the kitchen for when I have to run an errand (but I know I can leave them as they are used to it). Initially I would do drop-in visits and walking, and once a trusting relationship is formed, I would welcome in-home stays - either at my home or yours.
“Chase was very caring and attentive with our dogs. Despite their large size and strength, he handled them with utmost care and attention. He was punctual and demonstrated genuine concern for their well-being. I highly recommend his services and would definitely hire him again.”

“Chiconna was great with our dog. She was so communicative with when she planned to arrive, progress reports on her time with our dog, and made sure he had some good play time, water and potty breaks. She was so reliable and we appreciate her last minute availability to help us out!”

About: I am an animal mom of 8, ranging from dog to cats, that pays extensive care and excessive attention to my own furry ones and will provide the same treatment to your own. I am a former vet assistant, a rescue volunteer and foster. I have had dogs and cats from the age of 10 and have never not had a dog or cat to love and care for. I am a stay at home dog mom and a part time photographer so my schedule allows for drop in visits during mid morning to early evening. I will care for your pets just like they are my own. No one can replace you but I will be the next best thing.

About: What sets me apart is my love for the animals. This is my first time working in this field but I have had some fur babies in the past so I thoroughly know how to love and take care of them. I’m currently doing this full time so I have plenty of time to take care of your fur babies. I ‘m available 7 days a week. I have a fenced yard with a pool if your babies love to play in the water. My house is my safe haven. I make sure that your fur babies are loved and cared for in a safe environment.

Additionally, I have worked at two doggy day cares and loved every second of it! I have also been dog-sitting for around four years. I am raising/ training a dog for the guide dog foundation! I got him when he was 12 weeks old and will have him until early next year! Additionally, I have two personal dogs and a horse. I also have experience with guinea pigs, rabbits, and hamsters! Unfortunately, until summer of 2026 I am unavailable for overnight dogsitting because of my guide dog in training. I will be flexible this summer when it comes to walks and visits! I can do whatever is needed for you dogs! I have experience in doggy day cares and dogsitting! I also love running and going on different adventures if your fur baby needs to get out some energy!

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Rossville. On Rover:
- 93% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
