About: I’ve taken care of dogs/cats since I was 16, as well as, living with cats all of my life. I’m capable of taking care of any pet you may have! I currently live at home with 5 cats and love meeting new pets! I currently work from 8-4:30pm, so I’m unable to drop in during those hours, but I’m available for quick drop ins, as well as, overnight petsitting at your home! About: I have always loved animals since I was little. My family has fostered dogs my entire life so I have been around dogs of all breeds, sizes, and ages! Additionally, I have worked at two doggy day cares and loved every second of it! I have also been dog-sitting for around four years. I am raising/ training a dog for the guide dog foundation! About: I’ve had dogs my entire life! Currently I do not have my own dog, but I have 3 grand pups that I watch regularly! Fitz and Poppy are brother and sister golden doodles (age 4 and 1) and Chonk is a Great Pyrenees / Labrador mix (age 1). I’ve watched them since they were puppies. In addition to owning and watching dogs, I partnered with my daughter in opening her Dog Park Bar - Ruff Canine Club - in Richmond Virginia for a year and a half - helping her to open the facility and then worked as a manager to get them up and running. Not having a dog currently (ours crossed the rainbow bridge a few years ago) has allowed me the joy of watching my grandpups - and now want to provide that same loving, trustworthy service to other dogs and their humans. I currently work remotely part-time doing embroidery design work with no set hours, so my schedule is very flexible and can accommodate a variety of dog owners’ schedules. When I am watching my kids’ dogs, we keep a routine. Mornings are at least a one mile walk, followed by ball toss and fetch time in our fenced in back yard. We do have a pool, and the dogs are not allowed out unless I go out with them. During the day, there are periods of play and rest time and another mile walk in the evening. I have gates set up in the kitchen for when I have to run an errand (but I know I can leave them as they are used to it). Initially I would do drop-in visits and walking, and once a trusting relationship is formed, I would welcome in-home stays - either at my home or yours.
