“Ashley was terrific. Able to help out at the last minute. Prompt, responsible and best of all, our dog took to her immediately. It was the first time we left our rescue but could not have worked out better. Thank you.”

“Brooke was amazing and took such great care of my two cats while I was away. She was a great communicator and always told me when she was heading to my place. She also always left a thorough review of each visit with pictures included. I was confident that the cats got the best care possible!!”

“Jaclyn was great with our dog. We had a last minute trip and had to quickly find someone to come let her out to potty, feed her and play with her some. She was communicative and gave us good regular updates on our dog after each visit. I have no complaints and can recommend her to anyone.”

“Whitney was great and helped me out in a pinch when I was out of town longer than I expected to be. Great service and wonderful with my Labs! Thanks so much Whitney! ♥️”

“Titeara was AMAZING. She was like family to my babies. They were so comfortable with her, especially my shy one. She sent many updates and photos and even cleaned up behind them, without asking. She was great and made me being away care free. She was very respectful and treated my house as her own and my babies as her own as well. She is a blessing for sure.”

“Robert was amazing. He's very sweet and attentive and JuJu loved him. When we returned everything was fine. Robert video chatted with us, sent video, and pics every day we were away. He let himself into our home and we had 0 issues! I would definitely book with Robert again and again!”

About: I am very conscientious and caring. I have owned and cared for a lot of different animals. I will put your mind at ease and will work with you for the top quality care of your pet. I have a wide open daily schedule. I am an early riser and very flexible to meet your needs. I have a horse I visit and want to fill the rest of my time helping others with pet care. I have experienced firsthand how hard it is to get someone you can trust to look after your furry family and realize it is a need in the community. I currently work with my own two dogs every day to ensure they get the exercise needed and make their dog food from scratch so they remain healthy. I understand that your pet needs interaction and breaks from being by themselves while you are away. Commercial pet boarding just doesn’t cut it and takes them out of their safe familiar environment. Raising their stress levels. They don’t need that in your absence. I can take that stress away and make some friends in the process.

About: Find me on Facebook for more ratings. “Bekah’s Pet Care” I’ve been a pet owner for 35 plus years. Currently we all work hard to maintain our cat Cricket’s luxurious life of sleep treats eat and repeat. I also made quite a few animal friends as a Caregiver! With 10 years experience being a Housekeeper I had the privilege of meeting some special 4 legged family members who in turn I began to pet sit for. I’ve done lots of drop in visits for cats and dogs. Now that I’m a semi-empty nester with one child still in college I’d love to meet and help with your pet. Thanks for considering me! I have several clients in the local area for drop in visits, walks, and overnights. Excellent references. And I hope to add more fur families soon. I’m currently a homemaker and volunteer with our church including Sunday School and a Kids church teacher. I have lots availability at the moment and openings for weekdays and weekends. My backyard is fenced and I have one indoor cat. I prefer to do drop ins or daily walks at this time weekdays and weekends.
“Danielle was amazing. I couldn’t be more grateful for the amazing care my dog Simba received. From the beginning, her communication was clear, professional, and friendly. She took time to understand Simba’s routine, personality, and needs. She updated me with pictures and videos which gave me total peace of mind while I was away. I highly recommend Danielle as a dog sitter for anyone looking for reliable, compassionate, and trustworthy pet care! Thanks Danielle!”

“Sarah was awesome! We had her come do two drop in visits for our dogs. She spent plenty of time with them outside both trips, and made sure they did their business and got attention! She took great care of our house and brought our mail in for us too. We will be booking with her for our future outings for sure!”

“Samantha was absolutely fantastic as our pet sitter! She was punctual, knowledgeable, and incredibly kind—everything you could hope for when trusting someone with your pets. Her communication was thorough and consistent, giving us total peace of mind while we were away. It was clear she genuinely cares and takes pride in what she does. We wouldn’t hesitate to use Samantha again for any future pet sitting or visit needs. Highly recommend!”

About: From my experience in shelter care and veterinary medicine, I am very comfortable with caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, and medical needs. I have dealt with strays and owned pets from every imaginable background, and I believe every animal is worthy of patience, respect, and affection. I’m currently unemployed so I have a very open schedule for watching your dogs and cats! I typically let my own dogs out about 4-5 times a day, and they each have their own feeding schedule that I attend to as needed. I am very flexible right now, and would also be available to do fluids, injections, and other specific medical and behavioral needs (e.g., extra walks, extra play time, etc.). I have a fenced in yard and three friendly dogs, and two sweet cats, to keep your furbaby company. I am comfortable crating dogs and have an extra crate for a small-medium dog. One of my dogs is a senior dog with special needs, so I am perfectly comfortable housing and caring for dogs who have their own special needs. I also have a dog with epilepsy so I am very used to dealing with seizures and the safety precautions that go along with them. These dogs have also never met a stranger, and our home is an overall very welcoming environment to all creatures (I even have a pet spider!).

Since pet sitting is my primary job, I have even more flexibility on weekends and can dedicate extra time to watching and caring for your pets. Whether it’s daily visits, walks, or overnight stays, I’m happy to accommodate your needs When it comes to caring for pets in their own home, I prioritize maintaining their routine and comfort. I make sure to follow any specific instructions regarding feeding, exercise, and medication schedules. I keep their environment familiar and stress-free by providing plenty of playtime, affection, and attention. I aim to create a positive, safe experience that helps your pets feel relaxed and happy in their own space.

About: I've dog sat for friends from time to time. I have never had my own dog, due to moving internationally so many times as a military family. However, I've always enjoyed other people's dogs of all breeds, temperaments, and sizes. I have a lot of experience caring for people which has resulted in me possessing the patience, tact, and empathy necessary for interacting with animals, as well. I have recently resigned from my toxic and stressful government job and am available for any and all opportunities for drop-in pet care and dog walking that do not conflict with commitments to my kids' events. I will care for pets in their owner's homes, with respect for the owner's property and privacy as well as respect for the pet's space and temperament. I will follow directions and meet any special requests for drop-in visits or walks. I'm a life time manager of risk and analyzer of safety. I am an Air Force veteran and former federal law enforcement. I've cared for many human children in many different and even challenging scenarios, for many parents, without incident. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
