About: I have been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. I absolutely adore animals of all kinds, especially cats. I have experience caring for my kitty that had cancer, including providing subcutaneous fluids, medications/fluids/food through a feeding tube, and administering liquid, capsule, tablet, and transdermal medications. I also have experience with other feline medical issues, such as chronic urinary blockages and feline asthma. Further, I have never lived in a home without a dog, and have a background in animal behavior, training, grooming, and health. I have no problem providing medications to any animals and have experience with seniors. I love dogs of all sizes, especially huge dogs! I am available 24/7 and am extremely flexible with scheduling! I am fully self-employed and I have an extremely open schedule. I have no problem with short-notice cancellations or applications, and will almost always be able to take on your request! I will fully adapt to you and your pet’s schedule. My job is to maintain your pet’s wellbeing and enrichment, so that is what I’m there to do!

Robert was amazing. He's very sweet and attentive and JuJu loved him. When we returned everything was fine. Robert video chatted with us, sent video, and pics every day we were away. He let himself into our home and we had 0 issues! I would definitely book with Robert again and again!

Titeara was AMAZING. She was like family to my babies. They were so comfortable with her, especially my shy one. She sent many updates and photos and even cleaned up behind them, without asking. She was great and made me being away care free. She was very respectful and treated my house as her own and my babies as her own as well. She is a blessing for sure.

About: I am a K9 handler at Holloman Air Force Base who has been taking care of pets for the past five years. I like to keep my home loving, sanitary, and fun! I live and work on base so I will be able to constantly check in on them throughout the day. I also have cameras so I can check on them when I am not at home. I have my personal pet residing in my laundry room that will be separated from any pets I am currently caring for. I have 2 XL kennels that will be in my living room area where I would keep my clients pets. I also have a fully 6ft tall brick fenced in backyard that I clean once a week.

About: I am very conscientious and caring. I have owned and cared for a lot of different animals. I will put your mind at ease and will work with you for the top quality care of your pet. I have a wide open daily schedule. I am an early riser and very flexible to meet your needs. I have a horse I visit and want to fill the rest of my time helping others with pet care. I have experienced firsthand how hard it is to get someone you can trust to look after your furry family and realize it is a need in the community. I currently work with my own two dogs every day to ensure they get the exercise needed and make their dog food from scratch so they remain healthy. I understand that your pet needs interaction and breaks from being by themselves while you are away. Commercial pet boarding just doesn’t cut it and takes them out of their safe familiar environment. Raising their stress levels. They don’t need that in your absence. I can take that stress away and make some friends in the process.

Her communication was thorough and consistent, giving us total peace of mind while we were away. It was clear she genuinely cares and takes pride in what she does. We wouldn’t hesitate to use Samantha again for any future pet sitting or visit needs. Highly recommend!

About: Growing up in a heavily animal-oriented household, I fell in love with caring for animals of all kinds. With a mother who is a professional groomer and previously a vet tech, I was exposed to dogs and animals of all breeds, temperaments, ages, and more. I have been taking on animal sitting “gigs” for as long as I can remember, and love every animal I meet! I am versed in different medical care and always willing to learn anything to help. I currently work full time with dogs on a daily basis, but love to fit in extra care when I can. I am often available for house visits, overnight visits, and more! Ideally for overnight visits, the pup/pet would be okay for 8 hours at a time due to work, but always willing to be flexible or work around as best I can. I love getting to care for pet’s in their own home, as it adds an extra level of comfort for them. I love learning their routines and following a structure that is familiar to them to make things a little less stressful!

She took time to understand Simba’s routine, personality, and needs. She updated me with pictures and videos which gave me total peace of mind while I was away. I highly recommend Danielle as a dog sitter for anyone looking for reliable, compassionate, and trustworthy pet care! Thanks Danielle!

About: I’ve had animals my entire life, so caring for pets isn’t just a job for me its second nature. I understand animal behavior, routines, and the little things that help pets feel safe and loved when their owners are away. I treat every pet like my own, with patience, attentiveness, and genuine affection. Whether it’s playtime, quiet companionship, or sticking closely to their routine, I make sure your pet feels comfortable, happy, and well cared for at all times. I currently am not working. So I am trying to give all my time and energy and love to all the fur babies that I can’t In my home I have 4 cats and two dogs. They all have their own personalities but thankfully they all get along. We do one on one time so each fur babies gets love, treats and entrenchment. And then we will normal have time all together where we just relax and maybe take a nap.

About: From my experience in shelter care and veterinary medicine, I am very comfortable with caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, and medical needs. I have dealt with strays and owned pets from every imaginable background, and I believe every animal is worthy of patience, respect, and affection. I’m currently unemployed so I have a very open schedule for watching your dogs and cats! I typically let my own dogs out about 4-5 times a day, and they each have their own feeding schedule that I attend to as needed. I am very flexible right now, and would also be available to do fluids, injections, and other specific medical and behavioral needs (e.g., extra walks, extra play time, etc.). I have a fenced in yard and three friendly dogs, and two sweet cats, to keep your furbaby company. I am comfortable crating dogs and have an extra crate for a small-medium dog. One of my dogs is a senior dog with special needs, so I am perfectly comfortable housing and caring for dogs who have their own special needs. I also have a dog with epilepsy so I am very used to dealing with seizures and the safety precautions that go along with them. These dogs have also never met a stranger, and our home is an overall very welcoming environment to all creatures (I even have a pet spider!).

I foster for MAS and rescue strays, and I’ve been house sitting for pets for 15 years. I will ensure your home is respected, I will bring your mail and packages in as well as taking out the garbage can when needed. I have no problem cleaning out turtle tanks, small animal enclosures, and more! I promise your pet will be treated as my own and showered in affection. I am Student Nurse and I am trained in various forms of emergency care. Your babies will be in good hands! I am a Nursing Student in the medical district. I am available to do drop ins, walks, play dates, and more. I believe in keeping pets at home when their family is away. I provide fresh food and water, walks or playtime, litter box cleaning, and lots of love and attention. If your pet needs medication, I’m experienced with oral, topical, and injectable treatments and always follow your exact instructions. About: I have previous experience in dog, cat, and house sitting. I’ve had several pets throughout my life and all have lived long healthy lives in my care. I currently volunteer with House of Mews on a weekly basis. I have knowledge and experience in caregiving, bathing, and administering medicine. I follow directions well and will give your furry friend the best care possible. Currently working my own hours, so I am flexible and free to visit whenever you need me. If you have any special requests, just let me know and we can work out pricing. My home is unfortunately unavailable for boarding. But I’m comfortable taking care of pets in all types of environments and don’t mind traveling with them in my car if you’d like me to enrich their day at a dog park or on a nature trail.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs (and all kinds of pets!) for as long as I can remember. Growing up surrounded by animals and pet sitting for families in my community has given me years of hands-on experience with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities. From playful puppies to senior sweethearts, I’ve truly seen it all—and I love every minute of it. What sets me apart is not just my experience, but the genuine joy I find in building trust with animals and giving them personalized, loving care. Dogs are my favorite animals, and getting to care for them professionally feels like a dream come true. I'm patient, dependable, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. I’ve also cared for guinea pigs, fish, birds, and bunnies—so I’m happy to help with your non-canine companions too! Whether you’re heading out of town or just need an extra hand, you can count on me to keep your pets happy, safe, and loved. I'm a college student who has 2 full days of class on Tuesdays and Thursdays (8:00am-5:00pm), 2 half days of class on Mondays and Wednesdays (8:00am-12:00pm OR 1:00pm-5:00pm), and Friday off! When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I make it my mission to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. Whether it’s playtime in the yard, peaceful walks around the neighborhood, or just snuggling up on the couch, I give each pet the attention, affection, and comfort they need while their family is away. I follow all feeding schedules closely and make sure they’re eating, drinking, and taking any necessary medications on time. I’m also happy to send photo or video updates, so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and well cared for.

About: I’ve been taking care for dogs for over four years, and during that time, I’ve gained experience with a variety of breeds, sizes, and temperaments. For the past few years, I’ve been regularly taking care of my neighbors’ pets, providing everything from daily walks to overnight stays. I’m passionate about dogs and truly enjoy spending time with them, whether it’s playing, going on walks, or just relaxing together. I’m currently a full-time nursing student at the University of Memphis, but my schedule is quite flexible as of right now since I’m on summer break. • 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
