About: I have always loved animals and understand the importance of compassion, responsibility and trust when caring for pets. I volunteered for 10 years fostering lost and or abandoned pets. Fostering gave me valuable experience of understanding routines, medication instructions, providing companionship and attention to help pets feel comfortable and secure. I take pride in being responsible and trustworthy. Pets are safe, cared for and treated like family. Available full time! Retired, no children. Neighborhood park within walking distance. Feeding schedules and medication instructions followed. Photos of your pet provided during your absence. Fenced yard. Child free home. Crate provided if needed. Retired, now spending the next chapter of my life doing something I truly enjoy and feel passionate about-caring for animals.
“Nina was great with our big fur baby. He was happy and content staying with her and came home without any concerns. We boarded him where we were on vacation, otherwise we would book with her every time. If youre in the memphis area, book with Nina!”

“All I can say is “AWESOME”. Madeline took great care of my 2 high maintenance pups for 5 nights. This is my first experience using a sitter and she set the standard high.”

“Very quick to respond to all messages. Very accommodating with pick up and drop off time. Received videos and photos of the pups with updates. Would recommend. Will be repeating visits!”

“Shoshana (and her family) was the perfect sitter for my senior dog. She provided plenty of updates and was amazing with keeping my dog happy while I was away. Her house setup is perfect for dogs, especially dogs that enjoy hanging out with other pups. I truly appreciate her care for Reagan while I was away and recommend her services for anyone else looking for a reliable sitter to provide loving care for their pets.”

“As always, Stephanie and Brett didn’t disappoint. This is my second time leaving Rocco with them and I was very comfortable the entire time I was on my vacation. They are awesome!!!”

About: I have worked with all sorts of animals since I was 12 years old ranging from little puppies to even donkeys. I’m currently in college playing basketball and dog sitting as a side job to help me as I’m a full-time student athlete. My neighbors and friends always come to me first to take care of any kind of animal and I’m a deep cleaner so if any mess happens I’m there too clean it up and, I am able to wash dogs as well if needed. I can also administer a kind of medication if needed. My part-time work lets me easily fit pet care into my day with lots of walks, play, and snuggles. I am currently not available for boarding, but any kind of drop-in visits or walking I’m available at any time of the day. My part-time availability allows for a very hands-on and involved approach to pet care, ensuring my furry companions are well-exercised, stimulated, loved, and healthy. I do not have a fencing backyard, but I am always capable of walking your dog and making sure that they can be put in their crate or whatever the task maybe.
“My sitter exceeded my expectations. She was loving and caring with my dog. Her demeanor paired well with his active and friendly personality. She kept me informed about his well being during his stay. I appreciated her updates since this was his first time with a sitter. I will continue to use her services in the future.”

“I had the best experience with Abby. Dutch was always so happy with her and her family. The pictures and updates I go through the time she had him just made me feel at ease. Would definitely book with her again!”

“Gage was great. I felt confident that Gage would take care of 75 pound Puppy as if it was his own. He sent me photos, video and narrative to let me know that my Giant Schnauzer was happy. He even played fetch with him which he truly loves. (Good exercise for him as well). This was my first time using ROVER, so I was little worried, but it was good. I’d would recommend Gage and I’d reserve him again.”

“Shabnam was an excellent sitter for our two doggos! You can tell she genuinely enjoys your pets' company, takes them on walks, and has a wonderful home for them to romp around in. Our new go-to pet sitter!”

“Ms. Mackenzie, didn't hesitate to take care of Gino & Ros'e looking for last minute care. She send pictures & update everyday! She even gave bath to Gino and Ros'e. so prep up! Will not hesitate to do it again! Metz Family”

“We can’t say enough good things about Myla and Jordan. They helped care for Rooster for a last minute pinch we were in and reassured us he was in good hands. They truly love animals and are well experienced in providing a safe and caring environment. They hosted our pup for a staycation at their house and we will use them again if Rooster joins us again in Memphis.”

“Tara was awesome!! So kind, and so good with our pups! She sent cute pictures of them while we were away, and took great care of them. Really appreciate the thoughtful touches like cleaning their beds and feet off when they got a little muddy, and giving them some extra love while they adjusted to a new place. Happy to finally find a place we know we can send our pups stress and worry free!”

Carson did a fantastic job taking care of my little dog for the week, while we were on vacation. I received daily photos/videos/updates. I highly recommend her to anyone, but especially those who have dogs with separation anxiety, or anxiety around small kids or other animals. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
