“Mengqi has boarded my dog Donny many times since I’ve moved to Memphis in 2023 and she has been wonderful! She sends photo updates and my dog loves her dog. He gets really excited everytime we pull up for boarding. She was able to accept my request for Thanksgiving last minute this as well which I was grateful for. I would recommend her as a pet sitter!”

“Gage did a great job of taking Stella outside daily and throwing the ball for her. I was able to enjoy my time away knowing she was in great hands and loved receiving lots of pictures.”

“WOW! So very, very grateful to have found Amy and her wonderful family! My pup-dog was so well-loved and enjoyed tons of play time, snuggles, and lots of TLC. He had such a good time and was SO happy! When the entire family stood out in the yard to wave good-bye, it was so sweet that it was very hard not to cry! I highly recommend Amy... except if I need her at the same time you do! LOL!! She's terrific!!!!”

“1st time I have ever left my puppy with a stranger. She did great and was so excited to see me when I picked her up. Savannah was very sweet and kept me posted on how she was doing. I will definitely use her again for my baby.”

About: Hey there, thanks for visiting my profile! A little about me: I have loved animals for as long as I can remember. I truly enjoy getting to know each pet’s personality. I’m the kind of person who pays attention to detail and notices little changes in their behavior. My goal is to make your pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable while their person is away. I adopted my German Shepherd when he was about 6 months old. I was told he would need obedience training. Instead, I spent a lot of time learning, practicing, and working with him myself. He’s now able to sit and stay while I throw his ball and then wait for his release command before running after it. That took patience, consistency, and a lot of trust-building. Training my pupper taught me so much about working with dogs. I’m comfortable with pets who have big personalities, lots of energy, anxiety, quirks, or just need a little extra patience. I’ll follow your instructions carefully, respect your pet’s routine, and care for them like they are my own. I’m currently working occasional shifts, which gives me excellent availability for pet care. My schedule is flexible, and I’m happy to work with your pet’s routine whenever possible. Safety always comes first for me. I’m the type of person who will double and triple check important details, such as doors, gates, leashes, food instructions, and anything else needed to keep your pet safe. I take pride in creating a calm, safe environment for my own pets, and I would do the same for any pet in my care. Trust is a big part of letting someone care for your animals. Because of this, I am prompt, reliable, careful, and respectful of your home and your pet’s routine.
“Bethanie was so sweet and my pups always looked so happy whenever she sent pictures! They stayed over a week and I didn’t have to worry about them at all. We will definitely be using her again!”

“Provided frequent updates and was very insightful! She was happy to provide proper treatment for my dog and never hesitated to inquire or give info. My dog was happy and worn out upon returning home!”

“Shanina takes such good care of Zelda while I am away- once again she came back to me happy and well taken care of. Thank you so much!! We will see you again soon! 🫶🏼”

“This was our first time ever using Rover or even someone outside of our family to watch our sweet pups. Jaclyn was amazing!! She kept us up to date on how the pups were doing and sent us pictures. She was so communicative and attentive to our dog’s needs. We love Jaclyn, the pups loved Jaclyn, and we will continue to use her if the need arises!”

About: I have always loved animals and understand the importance of compassion, responsibility and trust when caring for pets. I volunteered for 10 years fostering lost and or abandoned pets. Fostering gave me valuable experience of understanding routines, medication instructions, providing companionship and attention to help pets feel comfortable and secure. I take pride in being responsible and trustworthy. Pets are safe, cared for and treated like family. Available full time! Retired, no children. Neighborhood park within walking distance. Feeding schedules and medication instructions followed. Photos of your pet provided during your absence. Fenced yard. Child free home. Crate provided if needed. Retired, now spending the next chapter of my life doing something I truly enjoy and feel passionate about-caring for animals.

“Mike was absolutely amazing with my pup Goldie. He was extremely accommodating to her needs, she has allergies and Mike administered her medication while she was in his care which is no easy task. Mike also has a wonderful backyard space that she loved to play in. Goldie was very well taken care of and Mike was sure to let me know with daily pictures and updates! Would definitely book again!”

Becky is an amazing dog sitter! She took excellent care of our dog and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. It was obvious our dog was happy, well cared for, and loved during the stay. Becky is reliable, caring, and a pleasure to work with. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter!

Eric watched our dog Nessie after a short notice request when it became clear we could not take her with us for our weeekend plans. Even though Erin had plans of her own for the weekend, she worked with us to make it work to watch Nessie. Her location was super close to our children's school so drop off was super easy. Her communication was great and she made sure to let us know if there was going to be a conflict with our times and we appreciate the communication and her ability to flex to watch Nessie. We will not hesitate to use her again. Thank you.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
