“Meredith has been walking my big dog for about a month now. He loves her and gets really excited when I tell him she’s coming. She came for a visit to get to know him/me before she started. I am very pleased to have found her.”

About: I’ve taken care of various ages of dogs and sizes. I can be of assistance with almost everything! About: I’m a professional pet sitter and Fear Free Certified. I’ve worked with pets of all ages, including seniors, reactive dogs, and those needing medication support. I’m trained in giving injections, oral medications and inhalers, and I also have rabbit care training and experience with small pets. I limit Rover bookings to ensure each pet receives attentive, personalized care. My goal is to provide low-stress, high-quality experiences rooted in patience, trust, and compassion. For overnight stays, I arrive between 6–8 PM and stay 12 hours to cover the evening, night, and morning routines. I also offer one 30-minute mid-day drop-in visit or walk upon request for overnight clients. For standalone drop-in visits or dog walks, I have more flexibility throughout the day and will do my best to accommodate preferred timing. For boarding in my home, I work from home but do come and go during the day for pet visits and meetings. I only accept dogs on a case-by-case basis because I have five cats. If accepted, we’ll keep their routine as consistent as possible, providing daily enrichment, affection, and supervision. I follow Fear Free principles to provide a safe, calm environment where pets can thrive. I avoid using or supporting tools that increase fear, anxiety, or stress — such as shock collars or electric fencing. In your home, I follow your pet’s routine as closely as possible while maintaining a peaceful, respectful environment. In my home, we only board dogs on a case-by-case basis due to having five cats, and I supervise all interactions carefully. Your pet’s emotional well-being and safety are always my top priorities.

“I was in a bind and needed a dog walker quick because I only had 3 weeks of school left and my previous dog walker, not from Rover, couldn’t finish out the year so I was super nervous with finding someone to trust with my Boston Terrier, Penny Lane. When Kimberly walked in the house, Penny Lane immediately adored her! It was a perfect fit! Kimberly is SO friendly and has such a kind spirit about her. I felt at ease and relaxed when I met Kimberly and saw her with Penny Lane. I knew she was going to take such great care of her! She was very professional as well and showed up on time everyday and sent pictures to me of my pup. Kimberly is wonderful and very trustworthy and I’d ask her to help out with Penny anyday! Thank you Rover and Kimberly for such a wonderful experience!”
About: I have been taking care of dogs and cats since I was a kid. I grew up around all types of dogs from dachshund to labs and have a 3 year old Shepard mix and 3 cats who are 6, 12, and 17. I use to house sit and walk dogs in college during the summers at Ole Miss and really enjoyed spending spending time with animals. I currently work from home so my schedule is very flexible for taking dogs out for walks anytime during the day or for just a check up and play/potty break. I have a fenced in yard and a kennel if needed. I can make sure your animals are fed/hydrated and are able to go outside whenever they need to go out.
About: I’ve been taking care for dogs for over four years, and during that time, I’ve gained experience with a variety of breeds, sizes, and temperaments. For the past few years, I’ve been regularly taking care of my neighbors’ pets, providing everything from daily walks to overnight stays. I’m passionate about dogs and truly enjoy spending time with them, whether it’s playing, going on walks, or just relaxing together. My goal is always to ensure pets feel safe, happy, and comfortable while their owners are away. I’m currently a full-time nursing student at the University of Memphis, but my schedule is quite flexible as of right now since I’m on summer break. I can easily find time throughout the day to check in on your pets and provide the care they need. Since pet sitting is my primary job, I have even more flexibility on weekends and can dedicate extra time to watching and caring for your pets. Whether it’s daily visits, walks, or overnight stays, I’m happy to accommodate your needs When it comes to caring for pets in their own home, I prioritize maintaining their routine and comfort. I make sure to follow any specific instructions regarding feeding, exercise, and medication schedules. I keep their environment familiar and stress-free by providing plenty of playtime, affection, and attention. I aim to create a positive, safe experience that helps your pets feel relaxed and happy in their own space.
About: I am very conscientious and caring. I have owned and cared for a lot of different animals. I will put your mind at ease and will work with you for the top quality care of your pet. I have a wide open daily schedule. I am an early riser and very flexible to meet your needs. I have a horse I visit and want to fill the rest of my time helping others with pet care. I have experienced firsthand how hard it is to get someone you can trust to look after your furry family and realize it is a need in the community. I currently work with my own two dogs every day to ensure they get the exercise needed and make their dog food from scratch so they remain healthy. I understand that your pet needs interaction and breaks from being by themselves while you are away. Commercial pet boarding just doesn’t cut it and takes them out of their safe familiar environment. Raising their stress levels. They don’t need that in your absence. I can take that stress away and make some friends in the process.

About: I was a Manager at a dog lodge for 4 years. I took care of all sizes and breeds of dogs. I am CPR certified. I am pretty good at training dogs, but not professionally. I’m currently on a break from working a full time job. Currently I am enjoying my hobbies, and taking care of my own dogs. We go to the dog park every other day, and they get plenty of enrichment time. I live in an apartment. We have a dog park here. It is fully fenced in and open 24/7. I am also right next to the Shelby Farms dog park. We can do leash walks and off-leash walks if you want. I also have 3 dogs of my own- a whippet, a cavalier, and a cocker spaniel mix. They all are great with other dogs. I also have multiple crates in my house. If anyone doesn’t get along, I have ways to work around it.

About: I’ve taken care of my cat ever since I was born (he’s 20) and I have 2 childhood dogs at home that I walked and fed every day, and now one crazy Pitbull of my own! I am a high school teacher and off for the summer so I will have plenty of time to care for your cats and dogs! I have a 2 year old pitbull who used to jump/nibbled so I am able to direct and control dogs if needed. I have a lot of experience with dogs who pull on leash, so that also will not be a problem.
About: I have owned pets--mostly dogs and cats--my whole life. I love dogs more than most people! I am a rescue lover and also transport pets for a rescue. About: I love animals. I will show your pets the same love you do and treat all animals how I would like mine to be treated (like a part of the family). All services will be treated with the same amount of care. I will walk your dogs in nice parks with beautiful scenery, water bowl on hand (of course)! I have a lot of experience with dogs and puppies, big or small. I don’t discriminate against any breeds. I know how to handle them, make them comfortable, and feel secure. I fell in love with animals when I use to attend camps at the zoo and volunteer at the humane society and animal shelters. No need to worry when you’re away, your pets are in safe hands with me. About: I’ve been a pet owner for 35 plus years. Currently we all work hard to maintain our cat Cricket’s luxurious life of sleep treats eat and repeat. I also made quite a few animal friends as a Caregiver! With 10 years experience being a Housekeeper I had the privilege of meeting some special 4 legged family members who in turn I began to pet sit for. I’ve done lots of drop in visits for cats and dogs. Now that I’m a semi-empty nester with one child still in college I’d love to meet and help with your pet. Thanks for considering me! Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
