At Linger Longer Dog Retreat, when you’re away, your dog isn’t just boarded—they’re on a cozy, farm-style holiday filled with love, fresh air, and fun. Here, every pup becomes part of the family, enjoying wide-open spaces to explore, snuggles, and the peaceful rhythm of country life. To make things even easier, we offer convenient pick-up and drop-off times—and transportation is available if you need a hand getting your pup to and from the our place. We’re here to help your dog (and you) have the smoothest, happiest experience possible. I am retired and love animals. We have 18 acres to walk on and play. For dogs that come frequently we do have an invisible fence and can easily train pups to give them larger free range running. I have plenty of land to walk dogs on and a way to bath pups before returning home to you. Home has separate areas for each boarding puppy at night. We offer pet pick-up and drop-off to make leaving town or returning home less hectic.

About: I have been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. I absolutely adore animals of all kinds, especially cats. I have experience caring for my kitty that had cancer, including providing subcutaneous fluids, medications/fluids/food through a feeding tube, and administering liquid, capsule, tablet, and transdermal medications. I also have experience with other feline medical issues, such as chronic urinary blockages and feline asthma. Further, I have never lived in a home without a dog, and have a background in animal behavior, training, grooming, and health. I have no problem providing medications to any animals and have experience with seniors. I love dogs of all sizes, especially huge dogs! I am available 24/7 and am extremely flexible with scheduling! I am fully self-employed and I have an extremely open schedule. I have no problem with short-notice cancellations or applications, and will almost always be able to take on your request! I will fully adapt to you and your pet’s schedule. My job is to maintain your pet’s wellbeing and enrichment, so that is what I’m there to do!

About: I've taken care of many types of animals from rodents to horses. I'm a professional dog trainer and care for even your most complex pets. Medical needs, behavior needs, and even special needs. Don't worry I can handle it! I have 4 animals myself so my entire life is already centered around the wellbeing of animals. Pet care is my passion from basic husbandry to working them through difficult emotions and giving them and their owners a better life. While your pet is staying in home with me they will be treated as one of my own. For safety your pet(s) and mine will stay separated. An evaluation can be made to see if our pets would be able to have play sessions. If not that's perfectly OK. They will have plenty of supervised and interactive play time, enrichment items such as snufflemats, toppls, and nose games. Any instructions given by you will be followed. My goal is to make your time away as relaxing, comforting, and smooth for both you and your furry family members as possible.

About: I’ve had a deep love and passion for animals since I was a child. I’m known to take in strays and help them either find their home or get them to a shelter so they can be taken care of . I’m very patient with every kind of animal , puppies and juveniles are my favorite seeing as though they have the most energy . I’m currently working part-time so I have all the time to sit in house with pups or cats. I’m available to board on weekends and can even provide pickup and drop off services. I have a fenced in yard and if need be I’m open to watching them from your home. All animals are free roam unless you want them crated .

I am willing to take care of your fur babies when needed If friends have fenced in homes then I let the pets run around and play for as long as needed, or will walk them on a leash. About: I’ve grown up around small, medium, and big dogs my entire life. I have two of my own at complete opposite ends of the spectrum and love loving on others. I’m a teacher, so I have plenty of time after school and on the weekends to care for your babies. I love going on walks with them and playing in the fenced in back yard. We have a sturdy, fenced in backyard and lots of room in the house for them to run around. We also have lots of toys and energy to give.

About: I love animals. I will show your pets the same love you do and treat all animals how I would like mine to be treated (like a part of the family). All services will be treated with the same amount of care. I will walk your dogs in nice parks with beautiful scenery, water bowl on hand (of course)! About: I am comfortable with pets of all sizes and ages. I am a huge animal lover and treat them as if they are my own children. Id love to know how you take care of your fur babies so I can treat them just the same. If you have strict rules I would adhere to them or if your a pet on the couch kind of family I’d love that as well. If your furbaby has any medical needs I am also comfortable administering meds and supplements as needed. Thank you for considering me to take care of your loved ones :) I am currently awaiting for my new position with work to start so my days are extremely free at the moment. Just let me know a time day or night and we can coordinate schedules :) Whatever my client says goes; I believe my client knows their pet best. I can only stay at a clients house because my roommate is allergic to dogs and cats.

About: Growing up in a heavily animal-oriented household, I fell in love with caring for animals of all kinds. With a mother who is a professional groomer and previously a vet tech, I was exposed to dogs and animals of all breeds, temperaments, ages, and more. I have been taking on animal sitting “gigs” for as long as I can remember, and love every animal I meet! I am versed in different medical care and always willing to learn anything to help. I currently work full time with dogs on a daily basis, but love to fit in extra care when I can. I am often available for house visits, overnight visits, and more! Ideally for overnight visits, the pup/pet would be okay for 8 hours at a time due to work, but always willing to be flexible or work around as best I can. I love getting to care for pet’s in their own home, as it adds an extra level of comfort for them. I love learning their routines and following a structure that is familiar to them to make things a little less stressful!

About: Had to make new account *** Hi, my name is Carson! I have been dog sitting for 10 years now. In high school I worked at Sidle Hill Farms (Dog boarding) in Southhaven, MS. I then gained clients and have been pet sitting from my home and others ever since. I have always dreamed of opening my own dog boarding and then remember I won't even take my own dog to be boarded! That is why I do what I do now, to nurture to love and to calm your pets nerves. I understand that it can be sometimes even more nerve racking for the owner then the pet... I am that owner! My husband Alex and I live in Oakland, Tn with a gorgeous fenced in yard as pictured. I work from home and usually never leave the house unless I go to Walmart up the street. We do not have any children and do not plan on it anytime soon! We are totally content with fur babies for now! A typical day at our home for your pet would include waking up in our bed, breakfast, mornings outside pending on weather (I have an outdoor desk), playing with millions of toys we can't seem to stop buying and of course when Alex comes home a walk around the neighborhood. We can't wait to meet you and your sweet fur baby! Dogs and cats are my whole life I care for them just as children. I love exercise and getting outside so pet care has come as a joy to me not just a chore. Dog walking, bathing, playing, co sleeping, cooking for pets if needed, taking them to groomers ect.. About: My husband and I are furtunate enough to work from home. Along with our adult daughter, we take pleasure in caring for, and showering love on, our furry guests. I began my career as a professional dog trainer/behaviorist in Southern California in 1996. It wasn't until after our move to Las Vegas in 2002 that my business was truly established. However, in 2011, we unexpectedly uprooted and moved to Houston, TX, and found myself heading into a new venture in the dog industry. During our 9 years in Texas, I become involved with other canine endeavors, including competing in AKC Conformation with our Akitas and Whippets and occasionally assisting in breed-specific and all-breed rescue organizations. After moving to northwest Mississippi in August 2020, we decided to continue offering our boarding and pet care services because of how much we enjoy it. In addition to playing with dogs, I have a part-time position in my home, which enables me to give each of our canine guests plenty of attention. My husband works full-time from home and is always available as a backup in case I have to run off to an appointment. Also living in our home are our two young adult daughters, Beth & Rachel. We are all dog lovers who also happen to be "dog-wise". Our own dogs are friendly and well-behaved and enjoy having fur-friends come to visit. Admittedly, we do have a good amount of dogs, but we have established a great routine and, if our fur-guest isn't too sure at first, we have plenty of options in keeping dogs separated until our fur-guest feels comfortable and happy. We have a considerable amount of experience at pairing dogs in appropriate play groups according to size, temperament and activity level. Our home is situated on nearly 2 acres with about a half-acre securely fenced for dogs to play in. Our active guests will have tons of fun outside playing with each other and chasing squirrels, in addition to spending a large portion of the day and all night relaxing inside our home. Our more sedentary guests have plenty of laps, couch space, and dog beds to laze around on. While crates are a useful tool for keeping dogs comfortable and safe, especially during the brief periods nobody is home, rest assured your sweet babies will not be locked in a crate for long periods. We also have extensive experience with many types of animals, such as chickens, goats, donkeys and horses and offer drop-in visits, where we come to your home to feed, exercise, and interact with your pet(s) and/or farm animals. Our fee is "per visit" and is the same regardless of the number of pets/animals. Additionally, I offer house sitting on a case-by-case basis where I spend nights at your home. Again, our "per night" fee is the same regardless of the number and type of pets/animals in your home or on your property. However, a premium may be assessed if the care of livestock is fairly substantial. Currently, we are only serving the areas of Holly Springs, Byhalia, and Red Banks for drop-in visits but are available to drive longer distances for house sitting. Feel free to request more information. We have a securely fenced yard and friendly dogs to keep your dog company during the periods I am working in my home office. Our weekends are typically not very busy, but there are 4 of us available to love and care for your pet. We begin each day with a quick stretch of the legs and a potty break followed by breakfast then playtime outside. Dogs are divided into small groups according to size and play style then rotated between fun time in our fenced yard and relaxing in our home on dog beds and couches. Evenings are often spent playing family games or watching a movie. For bedtime, dogs can sleep in our rooms, on the couch, or in their crate, depending on where they're most comfortable.

About: I am an animal mom of 8, ranging from dog to cats, that pays extensive care and excessive attention to my own furry ones and will provide the same treatment to your own. I am a former vet assistant, a rescue volunteer and foster. I have had dogs and cats from the age of 10 and have never not had a dog or cat to love and care for. I am a stay at home dog mom and a part time photographer so my schedule allows for drop in visits during mid morning to early evening. I will care for your pets just like they are my own. About: Hi! My name is Kayleigh and I am currently a sophomore in college working towards obtaining my associates in radiology. I have grown up around all kinda of pets my entire life! From my first dog when I was 3 to our foster babies my mom and I would take care of. I have always had a love for animals. I’ve volunteered at shelters and have even asked for donations to animal shelters instead of birthday presents for my birthday parties growing up.
