“Elizabeth is the best! My wife and I always hire her to check in on our cat when we go out of town and she is very communicative and sends lots of pictures (on top of deeply caring about our cat’s wellbeing). Highly recommended!”

“Hailey was fantastic!! She was very communicative about our cat and very patient in trying to get his fearful personality to come out of hiding. We will certainly reach out to her when in need of a cat sitter. Highly recommend her!!”

“Michelle was great with Maggie. It takes a little while for Maggie to warm up to people but within 2 meetings Maggie was getting comfortable. Will definitely book again. Highly appreciated and recommend”

About: Hi! My name is Sophia, and animals have always been a huge part of my life. I have hands-on experience caring for dogs, cats, foster animals, and neonatal kittens. I actively volunteer with local animal welfare efforts, assist community cat colonies, and have experience fostering vulnerable animals, including bottle-fed kittens and mother cats with litters. Because of my rescue background, I am comfortable caring for pets with different personalities, medical needs, and anxiety levels. I understand the importance of maintaining routines, administering medications when needed, monitoring behavior changes, and providing a safe, stress-free environment. I treat every pet as if they were my own. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles on the couch, or simply having a calm companion nearby, I will make sure they feel comfortable, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. I pride myself on being reliable, communicative, and detail-oriented. I provide regular updates, photos, and messages so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is in good hands. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! I’m currently WFH, which means I have plenty of time to care for your furry friends! My schedule is extremely flexible, and I will work around what’s best for you! Currently not accepting pets in my home as I already have 1 foster cat, 3 personal cats and 2 dogs! As a result of this I will be primarily be accepting drop in visits, and other services that take place in my clients home!
About: Every pet deserves to feel safe, loved, and genuinely cared for—even when you’re away. That’s exactly the kind of care I provide. As a lifelong animal lover, I understand that pets are family. I share my home with my sweet 6-year-old Cavapoo and my gentle 10-year-old Scottish Fold cat, so I know firsthand how important it is to trust the person caring for your furry family members. Before joining Rover, I worked at Dogtopia, where I cared for groups of up to 20 dogs at a time. That experience taught me how to understand different personalities, recognize body language, manage dogs of all sizes and energy levels, and ensure every pup feels safe, comfortable, and happy. When I was younger, I babysat and walked dogs for relatives and neighbors. I also know that leaving your pet can be stressful for you, too. That’s why I make communication a priority. You’ll receive regular photo updates, videos, and text messages so you can see your pet enjoying their day and have peace of mind knowing they’re in loving hands. When I care for your pet, my goal is simple: I want them to feel as comfortable, happy, and loved as they do when they’re with you. I can’t wait to meet you and your four-legged family member and become someone you can count on whenever you need an extra helping hand. I am currently on summer break from college. From September 2026, I will be available to work at any time on Monday, Wednesday, Friday afternoon/evenings and Saturday and Sunday. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, belly rubs, or simply quiet companionship, I’ll tailor every visit to their unique personality and routine. I believe every pet deserves individual attention, patience, and lots of affection. That is how I am with my dog Flash and my beautiful cat, Princess Leia. Honestly, no request is too much, my dog and cat both are very particular in their ways.
“Hannah was such a great pal to our cat Jeffrey while we were away! She is very communicative and responsible, and we’ll definitely be contacting her for pet sitting next time we go out of town.”

About: I have owned both cats and big and small dogs and am experienced in training, raising, and taking care of all types of dogs in various states of health and ages. I love all animals! I work part time as I am applying to masters programs right now, so I will have plenty of time for dog walks and animal drop ins! I do not offer boarding or day care at my own house because of the multiple outdoor cats and other animals (like raccoons) in my neighborhood.

About: I grew up with dogs and cats in my home my whole life. I love hanging out with them and taking proper care of them. I have done dog sitting for my friends many times. I’m currently not working but finishing my online degree. I am available for playing, walking and having fun from Tuesday to Saturday. Sundays and Mondays are for studying . I live in large apartment with lots of room. A lounge room is also available in the building for hanging out. My location is very close to many different parks where pets are allowed.
About: I've had pets ever since I was born so I have a lot of experience taking care of them! I've helped out neighbors walk their dogs often and always enjoy it! I've had a dog for 10 years so I know a dogs routine! I volunteered at Cove Animal Rescue taking care of cats for a few months (as well as the 2 I have at home!). I am currently a pet care specialist at Dan’s Pet Care so during the weekdays I will have clients between 10am-4pm but I will try my best to hopefully make myself available to be able to attend to your pets needs! I enjoy spending time with my dog and 2 cats when I’m home and always try to attend to their needs as much as I can. I'm a big animal person so I'm always glad to do it!
“WOW WOW WOW JASPER FUREVER!!! My apartment looked amazing when I came back, no messes anywhere! I can tell Jasper took really good care of my two cats and I will be using Jasper exclusively to cat sit from here on out! Thank you so much!!!”

“Gianna has been absolutely amazing. She came to sit my 2 rottweilers and they fell in love. She was so attentive and followed all instructions. She ensured my dogs had a great time and worked with my schedule, even taking some last minute requests. I felt so comfortable having her in my house and with my dogs and would definitely book again!”

About: I am always on top of my work and keep everything organized from schedules to lists. I worked at a pet grooming, boarding, and daycare center where I picked up knowledge on pet's needs. I've cared for family's pets and of course, my own dog is spoiled with love and care. I've worked for a senior dog sanctuary so I am experienced with administering medicine in a timely manner and understanding their behaviors. My dog is a senior herself, so any medications or vitamins the vet has given or recommended, I am on top of it. I graduated from college in May of 2025 and started working full-time right away. I am currently taking a break from working full-time so your pets can have my full attention and care when under my supervision. I am willing to move my schedule around for a more convenient experience. My care for client's pets would depend on the instruction they give me, as every pet's care varies. My dog at home is taken on a walk most mornings, but because of the weather lately she spends more time in our backyard. She also uses the bathroom in the yard, so she gets a lot of outside time. She eats at her usual time around 7:30am and 6pm and is given lots of love, cuddles, and playtime.
About: I like to joke that I was “raised by Rottweilers,” because at three months old my parents delivered a litter of rottie pups. We always had rotties growing up until we got into rescuing mastiffs. I’ve been involved in rescue work since I was very young, and caring for animals is just second nature to me. My 7-year-old special-needs pup, Blake, is my heart. He’s been with me since I rescued him as a tiny puppy off the streets of Puerto Rico. More recently, we welcomed Jet, a bouncy heeler mix who keeps us all on our toes with his endless energy! Seeing Blake and Jet as my fur babies means I understand firsthand the patience and attention it takes to care for dogs with very different needs. Anything from managing medical routines to channeling playful energy - I have it covered. I treat every pet like family, because that’s exactly what they are to me. I work full-time from home, so my schedule is very flexible. My dogs get a quick morning walk around Powderhorn, followed by regular potty breaks in the yard and a longer hour+ walk/hike after 3pm. I live in a townhouse community with an unfenced yard that is great for playing fetch and running. Otherwise, as most Jackson locals, I am often on the local trails, or the Snake River Levee, making sure animals in my care get plenty of exercise and socialization!
About: I’m a young college student that loves animals and willing to help you with all your dog needs. Flexible with schedules ( am, pm, and emergencies) and will provide more than just a service for your dogs. As a dog owner myself, I know how important a walk and a visit is for them. I know I am the perfect fit for your companion and I will make sure to make you and them happy with every visit. I am willing to give baths and small trims to fur dogs, feed, make sure they have clean water, brush coat, clean any messes, run, take to the dog park and any specific instructions ( ex: give pills, inspect cuts or wounds). I will provide updates and details to everything I do and when any concerns are noticed. I am dedicated and trustworthy to do all tasks mentioned above.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
