“Hailey was fantastic!! She was very communicative about our cat and very patient in trying to get his fearful personality to come out of hiding. We will certainly reach out to her when in need of a cat sitter. Highly recommend her!!”

“Elizabeth goes above and beyond to take care of our very shy cat. She follows all our instructions and shares numerous updates and videos. We hate leaving our cat but we know she is in great hands with Elizabeth!”

“This was the first time that Michelle dropped in on Cuddles. She gave her food, water and a clean litter box. Cuddles is not a friendly cat and seems very happy that Michelle was there to provide for her. I would definitely ask Michelle to care for Cuddles again.”

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and have hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages, breeds, sizes, and temperaments. In addition to owning and caring for my own dogs, I’ve worked in doggy daycare settings and with dog walking businesses, giving me experience managing multiple dogs safely while ensuring each one receives individual attention and care. I have raised puppies from a young age and am experienced with basic obedience training, crate training, potty training, leash manners, and reinforcing positive behaviors. I am also comfortable working with reactive, nervous, high-energy, and strong-willed dogs, always prioritizing patience, consistency, and safety. Whether your dog needs long walks, playtime, structured care, medication administration, puppy support, or simply extra love and attention while you’re away, I strive to provide a safe, reliable, and stress-free experience for both pets and their owners. I treat every dog as if they were my own and work hard to ensure they feel comfortable, happy, and well cared for. Dogs are at the center of my daily life, and because I am home full-time, I am able to provide consistent supervision, companionship, and personalized care throughout the day. Your pet won’t be left alone for extended periods and will receive the attention, exercise, structure, and affection they deserve. I have experience caring for dogs of all ages and temperaments and am happy to accommodate feeding schedules, medications, crate routines, training reinforcement, and any special requests to help your pet feel comfortable and at home. Creating a safe, comfortable, and stress-free environment is my top priority. I am home full-time, which means your pet will receive plenty of supervision, attention, and companionship throughout the day. I share my home with two friendly, well-socialized dogs (25 lbs and 40 lbs) who are both very gentle and get along well with other dogs and pets. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, preferences, and comfort level so they can feel as relaxed as possible while you’re away. Whether your dog enjoys socializing, playing, going for walks, or simply having a quiet place to relax, I adjust my care to meet their individual needs. Safety is extremely important to me, and all pets are closely supervised. I maintain a clean, pet-friendly environment and follow any instructions provided by owners regarding feeding, medications, exercise, crate routines, or special care. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for.
About: I’ve been caring for pets my whole life but really started about 5 years ago. When I was young I would help neighbors, friends, and family with their pets and loved it. From daily walks and feeding to baths and playtime, I treat every pet like my own. I’m experienced with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, and I’m attentive to each pet’s individual needs. I am understanding that some pets may need extra patience or a lot of activity for a high-energy and playful pup. My goal is to make sure your pet feels happy, safe, and loved. I’m a graduate student with evening classes only, so I am free throughout the day to give your pets plenty of attention, care, and love! I am able to take pets on long walks in various different areas depending on breed and energy levels for the pet to ensure they have a positive experience!
About: I've taken care of animals since I was a kid. Through out my life i have learned how to properly handle dogs, Puppies, cats and kittens by watching my family members and by having my own fair share of pets. I had a puppy of my own in high school and taught myself how ' to potty train as well as learning the different things like the best type of toy for teething, type of treats and food a puppy needs. Also I have had a pet of mine that has had a litter of puppies and learned how to distribute formula to newborns. I currently have two doggies one is 6 years old the other is 7 years old well as a cat that me and my family got from a family friend that found her in their garage. I’ve worked with dogs between the ages of a puppy to a senior dog as well as dogs with disabilities since high school. My love and passion for helping animals in need has made me work with a private owned foster care facility that worked close with dogs with disabilities to places like doggy daycares where I got to see more dogs that require special needs and see first hand how nice and or aggressive a dog can be. I’m currently not in school for the summer so that gives me more time for your fur babies. I can give them my full attention and time and give them the care they deserve and allow you to feel comfortable knowing someone is giving them attention If you require your pet to be in a crate once their walk has been finished or need to be sectioned off to a specific area I will make sure I properly do so.

About: Hi! My name is Sophia, and animals have always been a huge part of my life. I have hands-on experience caring for dogs, cats, foster animals, and neonatal kittens. I actively volunteer with local animal welfare efforts, assist community cat colonies, and have experience fostering vulnerable animals, including bottle-fed kittens and mother cats with litters. Because of my rescue background, I am comfortable caring for pets with different personalities, medical needs, and anxiety levels. I understand the importance of maintaining routines, administering medications when needed, monitoring behavior changes, and providing a safe, stress-free environment. I treat every pet as if they were my own. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles on the couch, or simply having a calm companion nearby, I will make sure they feel comfortable, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. I pride myself on being reliable, communicative, and detail-oriented. I provide regular updates, photos, and messages so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is in good hands. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! I’m currently WFH, which means I have plenty of time to care for your furry friends! My schedule is extremely flexible, and I will work around what’s best for you! Currently not accepting pets in my home as I already have 1 foster cat, 3 personal cats and 2 dogs! As a result of this I will be primarily be accepting drop in visits, and other services that take place in my clients home!
About: I’ve cared for dogs of all ages and sizes, treating each one like my own. From playful pups to senior snuggle bugs, I want your pets to feel safe, loved, and happy. I am a speech therapist at a skilled nursing facility who works close to home. I have a flexible schedule, allowing me to give your pet and mine plenty of attention and care. Plus, a loving family member is always home for extra company! I create a calm, loving environment with lots of play, cuddles, and routine. Whether in my home or yours, I follow your pet’s schedule to keep them happy and comfortable. Available for meet and greet by Mary Jane Davies park prior to pet boarding. As a personal preference, we don’t do meet & greets in the home and don’t take more than one dog (unless it’s from the same family, 2 max). Big on sending updates and pictures.
About: I have owned both cats and big and small dogs and am experienced in training, raising, and taking care of all types of dogs in various states of health and ages. I love all animals! I work part time as I am applying to masters programs right now, so I will have plenty of time for dog walks and animal drop ins! I do not offer boarding or day care at my own house because of the multiple outdoor cats and other animals (like raccoons) in my neighborhood.
“I highly recommend Hannah’s services. She took excellent care of both of my cats, making sure they were fed and well looked after during my absence. Communication was outstanding throughout the entire process. She was reliable, professional, responsive, and provided peace of mind knowing my pets were in good hands. It is clear that she genuinely cares about animals and takes her responsibilities seriously. I would not hesitate to hire her again and would confidently recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and dependable pet sitter.”

“Gianna was literally the best sitter ever!! From the second I met her I knew my alex was gonna be in great hands. She is an animal lover to the max. I highly recommend her for drop-ins and house sitting just a relief to know when I am away that my pet is well taken care of.”

About: I like to joke that I was “raised by Rottweilers,” because at three months old my parents delivered a litter of rottie pups. We always had rotties growing up until we got into rescuing mastiffs. I’ve been involved in rescue work since I was very young, and caring for animals is just second nature to me. My 7-year-old special-needs pup, Blake, is my heart. He’s been with me since I rescued him as a tiny puppy off the streets of Puerto Rico. More recently, we welcomed Jet, a bouncy heeler mix who keeps us all on our toes with his endless energy! Seeing Blake and Jet as my fur babies means I understand firsthand the patience and attention it takes to care for dogs with very different needs. Anything from managing medical routines to channeling playful energy - I have it covered. I treat every pet like family, because that’s exactly what they are to me. I work full-time from home, so my schedule is very flexible. My dogs get a quick morning walk around Powderhorn, followed by regular potty breaks in the yard and a longer hour+ walk/hike after 3pm. I live in a townhouse community with an unfenced yard that is great for playing fetch and running. Otherwise, as most Jackson locals, I am often on the local trails, or the Snake River Levee, making sure animals in my care get plenty of exercise and socialization!
“WOW WOW WOW JASPER FUREVER!!! My apartment looked amazing when I came back, no messes anywhere! I can tell Jasper took really good care of my two cats and I will be using Jasper exclusively to cat sit from here on out! Thank you so much!!!”

About: I’ve taken care of almost every kind of dog since I was young! I’ve grown up with a golden retriever, an Australian Shepard, and a mini papillon! I have walked, babysat, and dropped in for neighbors, family and friends with all types of pets. I work remote so I can watch pets daily or weekly! At most I go into the office twice a week so I am very flexible. If I do go in, it is mostly Tuesdays or Wednesdays but not weekly. I live in apartment building that allows pets, has a lounge area and green space all around building. Around the building is the town in Mineola and Garden City so great for walking dogs and super dog friendly area! Super safe with young working people so walking the dog around the town and grass will be no problem. If the dog must stay at my apartment we have lots of space so the dog will have enough space to roam and feel comfortable.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in North Hills. On Rover:
- 87% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
