“Julia was great! We left our puppy Sonny with her one afternoon until the afternoon the next day and she kept sending us updates and pictures of him having fun. This made us feel so good knowing that she was taking the best care of him and that he was happy. We would definitely recommend and use Julia again.”

“Lu and his family took wonderful care of Lani for the day! They shared plenty of photos and updates, took her on walks, and gave her lots of time to explore outdoors. They were very patient and accommodating with her puppy teething needs. We felt completely comfortable leaving Lani with them and would absolutely book again.”

About: What truly sets me apart is my lifelong, hands-on experience as a devoted pet parent — especially with senior dogs and emotionally sensitive pets. I cared for my beloved senior dog Rocki for 14 years, supporting him through every stage of life, including the extra patience, gentleness, and attentiveness senior dogs need. Today, I share my life with my dog River and also help care for my partner’s 16-year-old senior dog, so I am very comfortable with senior care, slower mobility, routine-based needs, and gentle handling. I’m highly attentive to body language, emotional comfort, and stress signals, which helps me support anxious, sensitive, or aging dogs in a calm and reassuring way. My home provides a safe, structured, and loving environment where dogs can feel secure and relaxed. I’m also patient and consistent with younger dogs, helping reinforce routines, calm behavior, and positive habits through gentle guidance and structure. Every dog in my care is treated like family with safety, emotional awareness, patience, and genuine love. Pet care is a natural part of my daily life. I structure my days around consistent walks, feeding schedules, playtime, and calm rest periods for my own dog, River, as well as my partner’s senior dog. Because caring for animals is already part of my everyday routine, I’m able to provide dependable, attentive, and structured care for pets staying with me. I prioritize supervision, emotional comfort, and routine so every dog feels safe, relaxed, and cared for throughout the day. In my home, pets are treated like family in a calm, safe, and loving environment. I follow each dog’s normal routine closely, including feeding, potty breaks, walks, playtime, medication (if needed), and plenty of rest and comfort. I pay close attention to body language, emotional needs, and stress signals to ensure every dog feels secure and relaxed. My home includes a fenced backyard for safe outdoor time, cozy indoor rest areas, and close supervision throughout the day. In a client’s home, I respect their space and maintain their pet’s established routine to keep them comfortable and stress-free. I provide gentle, attentive care, ensure safety, and send regular updates with photos so pet parents always feel reassured while they’re away.
“Once again, Charlie, the pug had an outstanding time with Peachy and Abby! Even though there was a lot of ice and snow , Charlie and Peachy got to frolic around and get nice and tired together. Always appreciate all the videos. Charlie the pug will most certainly be back!!!”

“Tina was so awesome to work with! She watched our super high energy 2 year old lab mix (Kenzie) for daycare at her home. She sent lots of pictures and updates and made sure to ask us lots of information about our dog before we dropped her off. I appreciated how much communication she provided and all of the pictures she sent!”

About: I have a five-year-old Cavapoo whom I have cared for since he was a puppy. He requires a lot of attention, exercise, and companionship, which has taught me to be patient, gentle, responsible, and attentive to a dog’s individual needs. I work from home, allowing me to provide consistent supervision, frequent potty breaks, playtime, and plenty of companionship throughout the day. I also have a large, fully fenced yard where dogs can safely run, play, and explore. I work from home four days a week and would love to spend my extra time caring for your furry family members! As a homebody, I'm usually home and able to give your dog plenty of attention, companionship, and care throughout their stay. Your pup won't be left alone and will always have someone nearby to keep them company. I have a large, fully fenced backyard where dogs can safely run, explore, and play. We enjoy playing fetch and staying active, so your dog will get plenty of exercise, enrichment, and affection while they're with us.
“Thank you for taking such good care of our pup Glacier tonight while we were visiting from Vermont. Y’all were very attentive, sweet and made us feel comfortable. We appreciate you!💕”

“I truly recommend Dan. This is my first time using Rover and naturally wanting the best for my dog, I wanted to make sure she’d be good, and Dan made sure of that. She always checked in with me, provided me updates of Daisy through pictures and videos, and always responds when she can.”

“Wendy was awesome! She sent pictures throughout the day and even made my dog fresh food when she wouldn’t eat the food we brought. My dog felt very comfortable with her and she was super flexible with our timing. Thanks so much!”

“Emily was phenomenal with Chloe !! She made me feel so comfortable with leaving her and sent me photos throughout the day. Overall wonderful experience!! Can’t wait to book again”

“Wendy and her husband took great care of my dog and sent me updates during the day. Zoe can be shy and sensitive at first with new people, but she warmed up to them so quickly! Their dog Hero is so cute and playful as well. I would recommend her, and Zoe looks forward to her next daycare there!”

I am local: Repeat services booked with me receive special accommodations & rates. 🌃 Messages that are sent after hours on Rover may be responded to on the following day. 🔹 I’m experienced with small breeds, or toy breeds, specifically Pomeranians, been around them all my life, including newborns and senior dogs who were raised starting as puppies. 🔹 Experienced with docile cat breeds, in particular Persian, Himalayan, Ragdoll, Maine Coon and other related cat breeds. 🔹 Have experience with Goldfish, Bettas and birds such as Budgies, so knowledgeable about care. 🐾 I’m intuitive and pay attention to picking up the different ways a dog or cat expresses nonverbal communication, they constantly give us cues. About Me: I own a color-point Persian cat who is 7 years old that I enjoy spoiling. I can speak Italian, enjoy gardening, art, sewing, yoga, tennis & pilates. I’m a fan of the original Twilight movie directed by Catherine Hardwicke. 🐾 I’m currently providing pet care for a King Charles Cavalier who has mobility issues and dietary restrictions, but he is such a big mush! I am also caring for a special needs 4 month old kitten who needs to be syringe-fed, given both topical & oral medication on schedule, along with helping her with using a litter box. In addition to assisting with care of a (palm-sized) rescue kitten who is less than one month old needing to be bottle fed every few hours, given antibiotic medication for her eyes and frequent cleaning with wet wipes, due to being too young to know how to use a litter box. I have found it to be extremely rewarding and willing to look after a few more furbabies within my local area. 🔹 I’m trustworthy and reliable, I would always practice good manners. Respectful of privacy when I’m in a client’s home. I make sure that when I’m with your pet, safety is an upmost priority.
About: https://www.rover.com/sit/geethk04148 Use this to get $20 off your first booking. I’ve been an animal lover for as long as I can remember — fostering puppies and kittens, helping them find loving forever homes, and caring for my own pets over the years. I grew up with a gentle Labrador who will always hold a special place in my heart, and I now have a spirited 6-month-old Miniature Pinscher mix rescue who keeps me on my toes and fills my days with joy. My experience ranges from raising playful puppies and kittens to caring for older dogs and cats, and I understand the patience, attention, and consistency they need. I’ve even traveled multiple times with my own dog between Florida and other states, so I know how to keep pets comfortable and secure in different environments. While I’m new to Rover and don’t yet have reviews, I bring dedication, reliability, and genuine love for animals to every job. If trusted with your pet, I’ll treat them like my own — ensuring they’re safe, happy, and cared for as if you never left. About: I was a dedicated dog owner for 10 wonderful years. My beloved Pomsky was my shadow, and through her, I learned everything about patience, health monitoring, and unconditional love. She was professionally trained, so I am very familiar with consistent training techniques. Since she passed away, my home feels too quiet. I’m not ready for a new dog of my own yet, but I have so much love left to give. I will treat your furry family member with the same devotion and care I gave my own for a decade. I work from home full-time, which means your dog will never be lonely. My schedule is very flexible, allowing for frequent potty breaks, midday play sessions, and plenty of belly rubs. Since I’m home all day, I can provide the constant companionship and supervision that many dogs need to feel secure. Safety is my absolute priority. I live in a safe, dog-friendly neighborhood with a big yard and a spacious house for indoor play. I am extremely mindful of gates and leashes, treating your pet's safety as if they were my own child. I also respect your privacy and will follow any specific house rules or care instructions to the letter.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of June 2026, there are 11,125 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across North Hills. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your North Hills commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 11,125 sitters in North Hills, 86% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
