About: I’ve loved and cared for animals for as long as I can remember (I’ve been sneaking animals in my home since I was in diapers😌), and being around them truly makes me happiest. I’m incredibly empathetic toward animals (I don’t even kill bugs!), so every pet in my care is treated with gentleness, patience, and genuine love. The dogs in my photos are my beloved old pups (Milo the Golden Retriever and Yoshi the Shih Tzu) Milo was 8wks when I got him and Yoshi was 5wks — I don’t currently have any dogs, but I do have two friendly cats at home. Lucy my tiny little black cat🖤 and Foggy my orange menace 🧡 (both rescues) I have hands-on experience caring for and training my own dogs over the years, from large breeds like Dobermans to small breeds like Shih Tzus. I’ve also had cats my entire life so growing up half my cats were kitties I found, some even needing bottle feeding. I'm comfortable with all things feline — from playful kittens to independent seniors. Beyond dogs and cats, I’ve cared for chickens, birds, and many other kinds of pets throughout my life. I love getting to know each animal’s unique personality and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy while you’re away. About: I have cared for all sorts animals my whole life, from as small as a gerbil to as large as a llama. I have previous experience working in a boarding kennel and veterinary office. I have experience working with special needs animals and administrating medications. I work full time, 6-8 hour shifts 5-6 days a week. I am almost always done with work between 1 and 2 pm at the latest. I don't have consistent days off but can be flexible with availability. For pets who need extra care throughout the day (potty breaks every 4 hours, 3+ meals, etc.), I can typically work accommodations into my schedule for those in the 98664/98683/98684 area. I am well-versed in behavioral signs of animals and will make them feel safe and trusted while I am in their homes. My main goal is always to support your pets in whatever way they need.

About: While I've grown up with dogs and cats, I also have professional pet sitting experience taking care of dogs with diabetes, blind cats, guinea pigs, and even a llama! Pets and their caretakers have trusted me so much, they have flown me to their new homes after moving out of state for further petsitting assignments. I give emotional connection and comfort to pets while they're missing their humans, even reading aloud to them, because I believe it is an integral part of the job. Currently, this is my primary work, so I will have time to spare to take care of your animals. I volunteer regularly at animal sanctuaries and other orgs to improve the lives of animals. I have typically been asked to spend the night with the pets in the client's home, and spend as much time with them as possible, but I can also make daily visits instead if necessary. If you prefer I make visits, keep in mind the distance it would take for me to get to your place, and consider allowing me to make fewer, longer visits instead of multiple brief ones throughout the day.

About: I had an 11 year old rescue beagle with special needs and a whole lot of stubborn. I learned a lot from him, especially patience. I am an artist and small business owner splitting time between north Portland and Vancouver. I have a very flexible schedule and looking after your furry friends is a way for me to supplement my growing business. I cant have your pets in my home, but I am more than happy to care for your fur babies at yours. I understand just how important your dog is to you, and I would treat them just as I treat mine. About: I recently moved here from Birmingham, Alabama and pet sat for a decade and I want to continue to connect with new families and their little floofs here in the pnw! I have worked with all ages of cats and dogs. I’ve also taken care of fish, hamsters and even bees on occasions. In the past I have had the same eight families I have looked after and met other pet families through them over time too. I have a fully free schedule since I just moved here and searching for a part time job. In the past I have been in school, worked at restaurants, and consistently pet sat as a combined full time because looking after little ones is a part of my daily routine that I cherish and wish to continue. So I am excited and able to be with your little ones as much as needed. I want the pet(s) to be relaxed and comfortable in their own homes when looking after them in order to not disrupt their regular routine too much. I prefer to meet the family and little one(s) before caring for the animal(s) before overnight sitting or for just drops ins. This way I can be well aquatinted with everyone and bring sense of calm into everyone’s daily routines from the start. This way, I can also learn in person their exact routines, any medication’s if applicable, any quirky things the pets might request in their routines, ie I once had an elderly dog thatI looked after that wanted his dinner “ heated up” in the microwave. So I would make “beeping’ nosies and pretend that his food was fancy like a humans. The family and I found it as a cute and an easy way to make him feel happy and eager to eat. The quirky the better is what I have always looked forward to when bonding with the little ones. For a meet and greet, if the family and animal(s) are ok with more of a “come on in” policy where there’s not a meet and greet first, particularly for drop ins, I’m more than happy to use with this method as well. For dogs in particular, I want to make sure that I keep up with their exercise routines with any amount of walks requested. If the family and floof(s) are more adventurous, I would happily like to take them on hikes, if it is wished to be incorporated into their routines.

About: I am obsessed with every animal under the sun, although the fluffy ones are my favorite. I have had a snake and hermit crabs as pets (in addition to the usual dogs and cats). I am notorious for remembering a pet's name while forgetting the name of their human. Nothing gives me more joy than meeting a new animal and learning all their quirks. I especially love working with pets who need a little extra care and attention. I spent five years living with a highly reactive dog, and have done reactivity training with my own dog for around 4 years. I have also served as a dog-walker for the local animal shelter, performing basic leash training with high-energy dogs. I really enjoy working animals on their terms - I am happy to sit quietly with a dog or cat until they feel comfortable enough to approach me. One of the reasons I like house-sitting and drop-ins are because pets tend to be much more confident and comfortable in their home, especially with a stranger. Whatever their needs, I will make sure to keep them comfy and happy. I have a flexible schedule and generally accommodate with enough notice. My transportation options are somewhat limited, so I prefer to work local to Vancouver. I am very respectful of my client's home and their established routine. I work freelance, so my schedule is flexible and I'm never rushing out the door. Beyond the basics (food, water, walks, meds exactly as you like them), I always set aside time to just play with your pet. Every furry cuties I get to meet feels like a little stroke of luck, and I want them to have a genuinely fun time with me. I'm also into journaling and photography. I'm a bit obsessed with catching cute pet moments on camera, so fair warning: you might get a LOT of photos. Hope you don't mind! 😉 I work freelance, so my schedule is pretty flexible on both weekdays and weekends. I'm not squeezing your pet in between other commitments, so I can show up on time, stay a bit longer, and actually hang out instead of rushing off. Just let me know what works for you! Currently I only do drop-in visits, so your pet gets to stay in their own comfy space. I'll follow your routine, and after each visit I'll log what I did and how your pet was doing: meals, potty, playtime, and their energy level. Safety-wise, doors stay locked, windows and gates get double-checked, and leashes are always on for walks. I'll keep your vet and emergency contacts handy, and if anything seems off, you'll hear from me right away.

About: I’ve grown up with animals, volunteering with pet rescues as a foster home, as well as owning various of my own! I’ve had a range of pets like frogs, turtles, fish, dogs, cats, and small snakes! I’m really patient and open to a many of pet behaviors from quiet and reserved to crazy and fun! I’m a full time SAHW, so my schedule is able to be completely catered to personalize each pet client’s experience in my presence. For boarding, potty breaks can be as often as needed, and activities can be flexible for any pet’s needs. My home is an open-plan style, so there’s lots of room for everyone and their activities! I have multiple cat towers, dog beds, toys, rugs, and carpet areas for luxury laying down time. I have rooms to separate pets that may not get along, and I am experienced in handling uncomfortable situations in my own space. When I attend a client’s home, I really like for my pet clients to get most of my attention as scheduled, since my partner can always take care of our own pets while I’m away. I’m patient, I get as comfortable as allowed to help the environment for the pet, and I love to see other pets as my own friends.

About: I have been around dogs of all sizes all my life. I am the current owner of 3 cats and a large dog. I will always make sure a pet feels loved, comfortable, and cared for. I am currently working part time on a set schedule in the afternoon so I’ll be free for midday walks and morning and evening feeding. I cannot house pets in my home as my dog is reactive and I think it’s best to keep pets in their own homes when there is a new situation like an new sitter so they are as comfortable as possible.
