“Zuleyka watched our dog Nova for 2 nights and two days. She was accommodating to find a drop-off time that worked for both of us, even suggesting I could drop off the night before rather than super early in the morning. She asked me how often I wanted updates and sent that information as agreed upon. She asks questions ahead of time about Nova's demeanor and needs so Nova would be cared for as needed. Drop off and pick up went smoothly. Thank you!”
“Yuberkis is AMAZINGGG! She was a Godsend for being able to take Gizmo last minute and communication was always easy. He stayed with her for 3 days and I received pictures and videos during his whole stay. I loved seeing him play with his other doggy friends. It's obvious that she loves dogs and takes care of them like her own. 1000% recommended and will definitely be a returning client.”

“This was my girl’s first stay with Desi but it won’t be their last! I love the care taken with the space for the dogs. I felt so comfortable knowing that the dogs would be able to roam, play and rest in a dog friendly environment. The care and attention to the girls was amazing. Daily videos and pictures were much appreciated. My ladies came home happy and well cared for.”

“Liz and Oleg and their kids were great with my pooch. She felt right at home at their house. Liz sent me photos throughout the day so I did not worry about her at all.”

“Brain was very easy to work with. Meet and Greet was super easy and the actual boarding was super smooth. Max seems to have had a great time with Brian. I would highly recommend Brian.”

“Great communication from her. My dogs had so much fun boarding at her house and came home happy and tired. I had no worries about their safety and knew they were having fun. Would definitely recommend boarding with Kia.”

“Kun is such an amazing and caring dog sitter! He keeps us updated with texts, photos and videos. Our dog LoLa is always so happy to visit Kun, his lovely wife and Som their doggy! Highly recommend and can’t wait until next time !”

About: I have years of experience with cats and dogs of all ages. I have so much love for all animals and I’m very patient in taking care and getting to know them. I’ve had many dog clients and each dog has their own personality. Each client I have, I take the time to make sure that the pet is comfortable and happy. On the days I have your pet, I will have plenty of time to take care of them for their scheduled time. I love animals and have pets myself so pet care falls naturally into my daily actives. From making time to walk, feed, and exercise with them. My top priority is to provide a safe environment for the pets that will be in my home or a clients home. Its very important for me to make sure I provide good communication with the owner. Before taking care of your pet, I like to discuss specific requirements my clients might need for their pet, such as feeding schedules. exercise routines, and any special needs. I give frequent updates and provide many pictures and if there’s anything of concern that I see while your pet is in my care I make sure to notify the owner immediately.
“What can you say when your dogs are treated like royalty and given their own sunroom to lounge in? Marisol and her family welcomed with open arms, my boys, one 22 lbs and one 120 pounder, without hesitation! We were allowed to enjoy our daughter’s wedding celebration without worrying for one minute about their care. We highly recommend them and Derby and Finn agree.”

“Our Izzy is a bit of a problemed child. But after this overnight sleepover, it was clear that she felt very comfortable with Chris. He made the entire process very easy and we are very happy that we found a sitter that we can trust. A+++”

“Maureen is wonderful!! Caring, great communication, very personable. We received photos and updates every day, and Wallace came back to us happy, calm, and clearly well taken care of! Will definitely board with Maureen again!”

“Paola is the ideal dog sitter. She kept me informed Day by day of my dog and along with sending pictures. Communication with Paola was also perfect whenever I needed to reach her. On picking up day my dog was the usual happy dog. Certainly Paola and her family made my dog feel at ease. I recommend Paola and will for sure use her sitting services again.”

“Caliber had the best caregivers in the world. I have so much respect for Siram and Rekha. Caliber is a fussy pet, they took the care to make sure he ate, take him for walks etc., They are Caliber forever caregiver as long as they are available.”

“We had such a great experience Ankita! She truly made my dog feel right at home from the moment he arrived. It was clear he was comfortable, happy, and well cared for the entire time. I especially loved that he was never alone. She and her family were always around, giving him plenty of attention and making him feel like part of the household. He also had a blast spending time with their dog, Panther. They got along great, and it made the whole experience even more fun like a vacation for my dog. I could tell from the updates and how he was when I picked him up that he had an amazing time. I’d absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and attentive sitter!”

“We are repeat customers (5times now). Suely is excellent! She always keeps me updated and sends pictures and videos. My pup, Little Foot, always comes home happy and tired. I highly recommend her.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
