About: I have been a fur mama for 13 years, but have been taking care of animals since I was a kid. I love BOTH cats and dogs! I have two of each—along with a turtle, so I am not afraid of caring for aquatic animals. I have experience administering medication both orally and subdermally. So I am not afraid to do either. I would love to help take care of your baby in any way! I currently work Monday-Thursday. I am available all day Fridays and Sundays. And full days every other Saturday, because I work a half day every other. Can make some weeknights work, depending on the situation. I have a fully fenced in yard, so no need to worry about keeping your babies safe. Backyard comes with two super friendly dogs who love playtime with friends!
“Super communicative, really showed that she cared about taking really good care of my dog 🐶 on the walks, and left really awesome and helpful notes with each trip!”

About: “I have years of experience caring for dogs of all breeds, ages, and personalities. From puppies full of energy to senior dogs needing gentle attention, I provide safe, reliable, and loving care. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to walk, feed, and bathe their pets, and I treat every animal as if they were my own. Pet parents can count on me to be responsible, punctual, and attentive to their dog’s unique needs. I’m currently working part-time, which gives me plenty of flexibility to dedicate to caring for pets. Your furry friend will always be my first priority. I love spending time walking, playing, and making sure they feel happy and loved. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, or sitting during the day. I’ll always do my best to work around your pet’s routine so they feel comfortable and cared for. Your pet’s safety and happiness always come first with me. I care for pets in their own home so they feel comfortable and secure. Whether it’s a walk, drop-in, or house sitting, I’ll follow your pet’s routine and give them all the love and attention they deserve. You can count on me to treat your fur baby like family every time.
“Alphonse is the best! He came today even though it was so cold. Had I known it was below 0 degrees I would have canceled today. Neither Alphonse nor my dog should have been out. They started their walk and Norma showed that she was cold and her paws were suffering. I’m so grateful that he had the good sense to bring her home before the scheduled end to her walk!”

“Julia was wonderful with our dogs, and her communication was excellent throughout the entire process. She was incredibly patient, quickly bonded with them, and made us feel completely at ease while we were away. It was clear that she genuinely cared about our pets. We highly recommend Julia and would gladly have her care for our dogs again! Shannon”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
