House Sitting in Richmond

About: I’ve never not had a pet in my house hold, owning cats, dogs, and even lizards and hamsters over the years. Growing up I also pet sat for birds, snakes, dogs, cats, and fish as well as worked on a horse farm for two summers. My own personal dog is a senior lad at the age of 14 years and have a kitten at home. Ive worked with puppies, adult dogs, and senior pups, kitten and full grown cats. I love to spend time playing and petting them (if thats what they want) and will do my best to love them a fraction of what you do to keep them happy while you’re away! I work in Portland until 4pm every week day and get back to the area around 5. I would be free to care for your pets from around 5:30pm-6:20am. I can feed, walk, brush, pet, and/or play with any of the animals you may have tailoring to whatever best suits their needs, I am an animal lover and want to best support the critters in any way I can in your absence.

About: Hello, I’m Samantha! I have always had such a huge passion for animals, and I would love to provide loving care for your pets! I have years of experience, as I’ve grown up having lots of animals all my life. I guarantee safe and nurturing care, as I treat every animal I meet like my own. I offer in-home care, so your pets can stay comfortable in their own environment. I understand that each pet has unique needs, and I take the time to make sure they are well cared for and happy. I have 2 dogs and 6 cats of my own at home, so I understand how important it is to find someone that you can trust, to give your pets the best care possible. I'm happy to handle feedings, walks, playtime, potty breaks, litter box changes, nail trimming for cats, and of course plenty of love and attention. Whether your fur babies require a playful exercise session or cozy overnight care, I would love to offer that for them! I am available Tuesdays through Saturdays, sometimes Sundays as well. My hours during these days are very flexible whether pet sitting is needed during the day or at night time. I have availability Tuesdays and Wednesdays after 4:30pm. I provide in home care, so that your pets can stay comfortable in their own environment. I’m happy to handle walks, exercise/playtime, feedings, changes of water, administration of oral medication, etc!

About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was young, but just started pet sitting a couple years ago and have worked in the veterinarian field for 5 yrs now. You can also find me helping out in the kennel some days. I currently work full time at a veterinary clinic, usually 4 days a wk. I do work 10 hour days, but always make it a point to go back for a potty break at lunch when housesitting. I have a large, unfenced yard. I do have a tie out or can walk on leash. There are 2 cats in house, that are used to dogs being around. There is also a rabbit, but he is caged.

About: I've been dog/cat/petsitting for the past 12 years. I started when I was 16 with my neighbor's cat, and grew from there. Over the years, I have also worked at a doggy daycare as a mischief manager, a vet's office as a tech, and a shelter as a med tech. I do have experience (4 years) of injections and administering medicine. Above all, I also just have a huge heart for animals. Plain and simple, they all deserve love and care. I work remotely as a freelancer, and so I am able to still provide full attention to your animals during the day. Working my own schedule means I mold it to your pet's schedule! I will treat your home with the most respect. I will work hard to make sure all pet safety procedures you have are followed to a T.

About: I have had dogs and taken care of dogs and cats since childhood. In my more recent years I have dog sat for family members and neighbors. I have enjoyed being able to give peace of mind to them knowing their pets are safe, happy, and cared for. Owning a dog and cat myself I understand the stress and fear of having to leave your pets. Whether it’s work, vacation and other life events it can feel like you’re leaving a piece of your heart behind while you’re away. I strive to bridge that gap and be able to provide peace of mind. My dog is a rescue and came to me with some behavioral challenges: fear, reactivity, resource guarding and separation anxiety. Since being with me he is a thriving boy with manners and is learning new skills and tricks every week! That being said I don’t scare easily and have experience managing a variety of behaviors. I know from experience leaving a pet that has some big feelings at times can be even more challenging and thats where I come in. To offer you peace of mind knowing your dog or cat will be safe and cared for with me. I firmly believe in the saying no bad dogs and would love to get the opportunity to take one worry off your plate while you are away! I have summers off and am able to be around as much or as little as needed for your pet in the summers as that is a busy time for vacations. I do structured schedules with play, train walk and rest times with pets. I can also create scheduled enrichment times throughout our time together. I try to cater what we are doing based on needs of the dog so they are fulfilled.

About: I have been around animals my entire life. I have worked with all kinds of sizes, temperaments, and personalities. I currently volunteer with the ARLGP, and love the skills I learn every day from the dogs and other animals there. Whether your dog is the easiest to walk, or needs some special attention (and strength!), I am here to help! Your pets may come back with better manners than when they left :) I am a business owner, and am often home at my property in Topsham enjoying the sunshine or local trails with them. Despite my own travel, my schedule is incredibly open and flexible! We have a small portion of our yard that has a light fence, we usually just walk the dogs or take them to the nearby dog park. Our little guy is an ex-escape artist, so we are always double checking, paying attention, and increasing security on walks / outings! Safety is a huge priority!
