She went above and beyond by helping reboot our saltwater fish tank system so everything stayed running and we didn’t have to cut our trip short to come home. That kind of help meant so much to us. About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was young, but just started pet sitting a couple years ago and have worked in the veterinarian field for 5 yrs now. You can also find me helping out in the kennel some days. I currently work full time at a veterinary clinic, usually 4 days a wk. I do work 10 hour days, but always make it a point to go back for a potty break at lunch when housesitting. I have a large, unfenced yard. I do have a tie out or can walk on leash. There are 2 cats in house, that are used to dogs being around. There is also a rabbit, but he is caged.

About: Hello! I am new to Rover but I have been working with animals all my life from a very young age and I have been pet sitting for about 4 years. There were always pets in the home, mostly dogs and cats all my life and I have thorough experience being around animals and knowing how to take care of them. I took a major part in taking care of the puppies that my family bred most of my childhood, I have experience in working with a variety of animals such as dogs, cats, reptiles, roosters/chickens, horses, guinea pigs, etc. Besides working with my own pets I have been pet sitting for around 4 years now and have become very comfortable woking with other peoples pets. I pride myself on my attention to detail and focus on making sure your pet/pets are as comfortable as possible. I am currently a student but most of my classes are online so I am very flexible and available pretty much every day of the week currently. I am able to be intuitive and approach every animal with the care and attention that is specific to their needs. I am sensitive to boundaries and always making sure to focus on listening to what they are communicating.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life and have been enjoying having cats in my home since high school. I’m a responsible young adult who genuinely loves animals and would be happy to care for yours with the same love and respect I give my own and my family’s pets. I have experience caring for pets in their homes for stays ranging from long weekends to two weeks, ensuring their needs are met while keeping them comfortable in their familiar environment. I am currently working to build my own interior design and decorating business and will have the flexibility I need to care for your pet. If at my home, we will take at minimum 2 walks a day to enjoy fresh air and get movement and enrichment in as I don't have a yard. I do live close to the Androscoggin dog park, which I would utilize as well. In your space we will walk, and spend time outside to expend energy and get enrichment.

About: I’ve always been around dogs and got my own dog 8 years ago. I have have always taken care of dogs in my neighborhood for long amount of time or for even just to feed or let out. I have a full time job Monday thru Thursday but I’m free on the weekends. I’m most likely will not be available for major holidays . I live in a new apartment building that has a small dog park. I usually take my dog on hikes or walks around the neighborhood.

About: I have been around animals my entire life. I have worked with all kinds of sizes, temperaments, and personalities. I currently volunteer with the ARLGP, and love the skills I learn every day from the dogs and other animals there. Whether your dog is the easiest to walk, or needs some special attention (and strength!), I am here to help! Your pets may come back with better manners than when they left :) I am a business owner, and am often home at my property in Topsham enjoying the sunshine or local trails with them. Despite my own travel, my schedule is incredibly open and flexible! We have a small portion of our yard that has a light fence, we usually just walk the dogs or take them to the nearby dog park. Our little guy is an ex-escape artist, so we are always double checking, paying attention, and increasing security on walks / outings! Safety is a huge priority!

About: I’ve never not had a pet in my house hold, owning cats, dogs, and even lizards and hamsters over the years. Growing up I also pet sat for birds, snakes, dogs, cats, and fish as well as worked on a horse farm for two summers. My own personal dog is a senior lad at the age of 14 years and have a kitten at home. Ive worked with puppies, adult dogs, and senior pups, kitten and full grown cats. I love to spend time playing and petting them (if thats what they want) and will do my best to love them a fraction of what you do to keep them happy while you’re away! I work in Portland until 4pm every week day and get back to the area around 5. I would be free to care for your pets from around 5:30pm-6:20am. I can feed, walk, brush, pet, and/or play with any of the animals you may have tailoring to whatever best suits their needs, I am an animal lover and want to best support the critters in any way I can in your absence.

“Last minute and amazing pet sitter! We had a different sitter all set up for about 3 weeks prior to a brief trip away—the hotel was booked, the theater and MLB tickets were purchased…transportation was all arranged……then the original sitter had to cancel the DAY BEFORE our trip started! We scrambled, and I put out several feelers for someone to watch our 2 Great Danes, who have some behavioral issues we’re ironing out. Amanda came to the rescue! Not only did she step up to the task of sitting for us, she came the night we decided to book (a day before she’d actually be sitting for us), so she could meet us and our pups….and she doesn’t live all that close to us, so that was pretty-well out of her way. She stayed with our ups and kept them happy—our biggest worry was that they might get in an argument with each other…..and they didn’t! Plus our shy guy actually ate while we were gone, which doesn’t always happen. We’re extremely happy with how everything went with Amanda helping us out!”

I have a job that requires taking call, so there are times I could have to go into work during a scheduled time, majority a very flexible schedule :) I do not take requests for services in my own home.
