About: I was a dog walker in NYC for 5 years prior to moving to the Hudson valley. I enjoy spending quality time with the animals and giving them a fun day! I work fully remote at a not for profit and I make my own schedule. The flexibility is amazing, the pay, less so. I supplement my income by hanging out with animals! In my home I meet pets where I find them. If they prefer snuggles I will happily oblige, if they prefer their crate that is fine by me as well. I take a similar approach at their homes. About: I have taken care of dogs and cats for friends, family, and neighbors since I was 16 years old. Growing up, I have always had at least one dog in my house, so I am very comfortable with them. I have cared for cats, older dogs, younger dogs, many different breeds, and both male and female dogs. I have experience dog sitting, dog walking, and just doing mid-day check-ins. I'm currently walking dogs a couple of times a week while their owners are at work and have been dog-sitting very regularly. I love going on walks, hikes, and any other kind of adventure with pups and always cater to the needs of each individual dog. I have had dogs with health issues so I am comfortable watching dogs with physical injuries and following medication regimens. I already have some dog-walking clients so that is something to consider but my schedule is mostly pretty open for your dog needs! With the summer heat, I prefer walking dogs earlier in the day or later in the day so they don't get too overheated. But, of course, I am happy to walk your furry friends based on your schedule! Because I have two dogs I don't board dogs at my house. I am more than happy to watch your dogs at your own home. I also think most dogs prefer this because it is a comfortable and familiar environment. I have worked with dogs who use invisible fences, physical fences, or need to be on a leash anytime they're outside. I'm comfortable with any of these scenarios. I am very flexible and am happy to cater to the needs of you, your pet, and your home.
About: I currently own an amazing certified Good Boy Austalian Cattle Dog and two snuggly cats. I have have always owned at least one pet, both cats and dogs since I was little. I have done a decent amount of pet sitting for neighbors and friends. I have even had to give oral meds to one dog I dog sat. If you have any questions, please ask! Dogs will always get at least a 15 minutes walk because my dog usually needs a longer one. I sometimes give my cats and dog breakfast and then usually give the dog a quick 15 walk in the morning before leaving for work at 7:30 am. I get back home around 3:00 pm and usually give my dog his actual long walk between 40 and 70 minutes depending on weather. I feed the animals and then have dinner and usually just relax and snuggle on the couch with at least one of the fur kids. I fit in other cleaning and what not in there but I always make it a point to walk my doggo and make sure they get snuggles since I am gone for a good portion of the day. I have room for a crate for a crate trained dog. I have a moderately sized backyard that is well fenced in. My dog is a counter surfer so we have baby gates for both the kitchen and the extra bedroom. The extra bedroom serves as the cat room so the cats have a dedicated space. Stuff can be adjusted if you have a cat not used to dogs, so they can have that entire room or vice versa our cats can go in there for a dog that is not cat friendly. We only live five minutes from Marbletown Animal Hospital of any emergencies arise needing urgent care if your vet is not available.

About: I've been taking care of all my friends' pets for the last 2 years since I moved to the Hudson Valley! I'm usually their first call when they're in need of a pet sitter and they're gone on vacation. I love dogs (especially lap dogs!) and although I'm allergic to cats (except hypoallergenic breeds) they're my kryptonite. So cute! Katherine was great with my cats! I have two elderly cats who are finicky in their tastes and not extremely friendly (both were rescue feral cats). I had asked Katherine to come in twice a day to feed the cats and place their pills in the food. She had met the cats and was patient with them, and after a few days she was actually able to pet them--almost unheard of! sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
