“I can't imagine finding anyone better than Amy. My cats, that normally don't interact with anyone but us, interacted with her from moment one. The updates and pictures she sent were priceless. We will definitely use Amy again and I would recommend her to anyone.”

“Carey is excellent! I have one young very energetic kitten that looks forward to her coming over and playing with her and one that is a little more reserved that just appreciates her patience and will come around eventually to get some love and play with her. She is very in tune with their personalities and what they need and gives 110%. She a great communicator and lets you know immediately if there are any issues or problems at all while you are away.”

“I am so glad that I found Ash to help me with my new puppy Apollo. Starting back to work after being off for part of the summer I was worried about Apollo being let out during the day for potty breaks. ash is very reliable and Apollo and my other Dood love having the interaction with her when she stops in. Highly recommend Ash!!!”

“Ashley was FANTASTIC! She was extremely flexible and understanding when my plans were a little chaotic and changed on the fly. Both of my kiddos were taken excellent care of! I will absolutely be calling on Ashley again and again.”

“Natasha was so amazing! Above and beyond what I could have expected with using Rover for the first time. I was so surprised to get photos of her interacting with my dog and she was so thorough with her details she left of the interaction. So so happy and so glad to have Natasha help us look after our sweet dog”

“Chiara was absolutely fantastic with our baby! Very timely visits, amazing photos, and thorough updates! Definitely will be using her services again when we go out of town!”

“Abby was our first introduction to the Rover experience with caring for our pets in our home. She provided great communication, pix and 3x daily reports after each visit which gave us great peace of mind! Our dogs are two mixed breed rescues who can be anxious. Abby did great with both. 10/10 recommend Abby and River!”

About: I have owned pets my whole life, dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, frogs, fish, ferrets and now a flock of chickens. Each pet is an incredible responsibility that can bring great joy. Family and friends know they can count on me to help with any pet needs. Be it overnight stays, dog walks, food and water checks and even just a quick stop to snuggle. I am a stepmom, dog mom and substitute teacher, I have a flexible schedule out of school hours and am able to work around kids schedules to make almost anything work. Over the summer I am more free and able to help more. I walk my own dog multiple times a day, as well as spend time playing and snuggling. I have a routine with my flock of chickens for feeding time and creating ways to keep them occupied. My dog is on a scheduled food routine and receives treats throughout the day. My son has a bunny, to which he has a daily routine of playtime and cleaning. I am a person who is great with direction and routine, working to make sure an animal has adequate time for play, food and rest.
About: Animals are my "safe people." I enjoy giving them love and receiving love in return. I've taken care of many pets including dogs, cats, chickens, bunnies, guinea pigs, lambs and rats etc. I'm experienced in administering medication and am trained in supervising many dogs at once. I recently moved back to the area and would like pet sitting to be my full-time job. I am accepting new clients and ready to fill my schedule. I am able to care for pets in their own home. I want them to feel comfortable and secure in their normal routine as much as possible.
“Koda took to Jill very fast. Usually she will bark and growl until she knows you’re a friend, but not with Jill. I am a firm believer in dogs judgements of people and Jill passed with flying colors!”

“We have been having Adam take care of our dogs when we go away for about 3 years now, and he always takes really great care of them. He comes at the times we ask him to, and stays the entire time he is contracted for so the dogs can have good outdoor time. Our dogs love him. If you need a dog sitter we highly recommend Adam!”

“She’s amazing!! My dogs loved her and they are normally shy of new people but they accept her and loved her. Shes gave them lots of attention and definitely treats them as their own! I will definitely have her back to watch my dogs!”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole entire life and in most cases more than one at a time. I’m extremely organized and put a lot of thought into the care of my animals. I would do anything for my dog and I’d give that same care to anyone else’s pup that I’d be lucky enough to watch too! I have experience with all ages of dogs and many breeds as well. Most experience with medium to large size dogs but any size is perfect! I’ve watched family friends dogs while watching their kids, I’ve been in charge of my own dogs for weeks at a time on my own and love to spend time with any and all pups! I’m currently working full time M-F so I am really only available on weekends for care through the daytime. However I could stop by on evenings during the week after work. I have an electric fence at home for my pup but she is very dog friendly and would love to have some company here! If your dog would need taken out I would keep them on a leash or whatever you would be comfortable with! If I am coming to your house I will always triple check that I have everything done correctly for your fur baby’s needs and fresh food and water each time of course.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Rheems
I would highly recommend Carey's services as a pet sitter! During our vacation, she was fantastic with sending updates during her drop ins with our cats. She went above and beyond to make sure they were happy and cared for in our absence, even setting up a laser toy for their entertainment. We had peace of mind knowing our kitties were in good hands while we were away.

I can't imagine finding anyone better than Amy. My cats, that normally don't interact with anyone but us, interacted with her from moment one. The updates and pictures she sent were priceless. We will definitely use Amy again and I would recommend her to anyone.

Alexis was very sweet, on time, and a great communicator. We received daily pictures and updates. With the spring weather changing from hot to cold, she communicated about home temperature and adjusted for the cats comfort. She kept up with the litter box, adding water to their fountains, as well as cleaning the cats food dishes! Great trusted sitter if you are looking for someone to drop in while you are away for an extended trip. I would love to use her again for future vacation kitty needs.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
