I have over 10 years of experience caretaking for pets, and animals are an important part of my life. At this time, I'm only accepting one dog at a time so that I can ensure your pup gets the most care and attention. ***Your dog MUST be on flea meds. I will not take any dog that has fleas. I'm good at reading and respecting the dog's energy. I know that it can take time to gain a dog's trust, especially as a new person. We can take things slowly if necessary. I work from home, so I'm available the majority of the day. If I leave, it's usually only to run a quick errand. During summer, we would not be outside too long unless you request a river play date. For dog sitting: I have a large, wooden-fenced yard and one small, male neutered dog. He is very friendly + energetic and loves playing with other dogs. Water is always available and plenty of space for relaxing. For walking and drop-ins: Safety is number one priority. Always leashed up and scanning for potential distractions.

About: I grew up caring for dogs of different shapes and sizes as well as other small pets like hamsters and fish. I’ve also had a cockatiel as well as love birds. My family and I love to board pets since we don’t currently have any, but that’s just more attention to share with yours. I am a personal trainer / nutrition coach with a very early morning / some evenings schedule. I have gaps in my day that I use to do drop in visits when many are working away from home. I’m usually up and moving at 3:30a, back home by 6a, and work from home most of the day, with some meetings away from home from time to time. We go down around 8:30p to get ready for the next day and get some sleepy time. Our home has a fenced in backyard for them to play in and pups are free to roam inside. In your home I will respect whatever boundaries are set. In our home we tend to keep people places separate from pup places, so typically we don’t allow them on couches, and definitely not beds. We do keep individual rooms off limits. Normally we do not feed them people food unless it’s provided by the owner as we don’t want to encourage hanging out under the table or in the kitchen. For boarding at our home *we prefer crate trained pups* as they need boundaries and their own space to help them be comfortable in a new environment. They may behave one way at your home and a totally different way somewhere else, and it’s best to lean more cautiously to prevent any unexpected mischief and / or damage. Under certain circumstances we can work with a dog that is not crate trained, but we need to meet them first and they need to be super mellow. We’ve had a few escape artists who have gotten into things and even caused some damage. I have a very early morning schedule and knowing exactly where the pup is located is very helpful in the dark. We also have an older family member living with us as well, so we want to avoid as many late night surprises as possible. We are a very mellow family that is home a lot due to the type of work we do. If your pup is SUPER high energy and needs lots of activity, constant attention and wants to go outside every five minutes we may not be the best fit for you as we spend a lot of time doing crafts, reading, drawing, stuff like that. Our jobs are very active so when we are home we like to rest and chill out with the animal guests.

About: I love animals. I've had 2 dogs at all times for the last 22yrs. and a few cats. I live in a large 2 bdrm Apt with my 3 sweet Chihuahuas. I am a dog person and this is a dog house. Plenty of room for a few more to play with. My dogs are friendly. We have a dog park on the property. There are only small dogs here as it is a Senior Living. I will walk your dogs around the complex and they can safely play in dog park area. I'm retired for now and spend all my time with my dogs. Your pet will have all our attention. About: i’ve taken care of family pets, helped with walks and check in before! i absolutely strive my best to take care of the babies while families are away for a little! i currently work full time mon-thurs 8-5:30 and fridays i am home by 12:30 and off the weekends. we go to dog parks and walks after work and especially on weekends every dog with me stays on leash or i am very hands and eyes on if a dog is off leash trained. not many dogs at my apartment complex to worry about!
