“Caroline and Alena took wonderful care of Bruno and treated him like their own. I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such good hands. Bruno came back happy and well-cared for. I’ll definitely use their services again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and loving sitter.”

“Our dog Piper had never been left with anyone but family, so the thought of leaving her with a stranger scared me. Brooke was was recommended by my dental hygienist and from the time I booked Piper’s stay till today when we picked her up, we felt at ease! We received numerous pictures of Piper throughout her stay and she looked happy in every single one of them! We highly recommend Brooke and we are so happy that we found her. Piper also came home in better shape then she left us- she came home with an adorable bow and clean fur :)”

“Melissa was amazing, and I'm thrilled we found her to watch our dog. She was incredibly easy to work with, she was a great communicator, and mostly importantly she took fantastic care of our dog. I will not hesitate to connect with her again next time we need a dog sitter. Highly recommended!”

“Ali is an amazing pet sitter who puts you at ease while you are out-of-town knowing your fur baby is well cared for. She sends pictures and videos daily. Our dog is elderly and needs a place where she can relax and rest. We can tell she enjoyed her time being part of Ali's pack. Normally we are hesitant to leave our dog with a sitter because she needs constant human contact but we wouldn't hesitate to leave her with Ali again. A++++”
“Jenae was super awesome! She took our dog on super short notice and treated her so well. I got lots of update and pictures and I felt very comfortable in her care. Would definitely recommend :)”

“The space and security Linda offers is priceless . My Border Collie was able to run as hard and FAR as she wanted. Her brother- who appears to be BullDog plus Pittie plus Terrier was beside himself to have so much space. This is some of the best money I have ever spent in regard to the well being of my pets. I could not be more pleased.”

“Hector and Sofia have now welcomed and cared for my 2-year-old dog, Wilson, three times this year. Most recently, they stepped in on very short notice for a last-minute trip I had to Baltimore, and I can’t express how grateful I am for their hospitality and flexibility. I know Wilson is always in good hands with them – they treat him with such love and care. I highly recommend Hector and Sofia to anyone looking for reliable, caring sitters. Thank you both again for everything!”

“Brittany was AWESOME with our special needs (acute separation anxiety) Schnauzer mix named Cooper!! She was able to take him with her to work and gave him meds when he go anxious. She also sent photo updates during his stay to let us know how he was doing. I highly recommend Brittany and we will definitely be using her again in the future!!”

“Ariel was great with my fur baby! My girl had not done very well in the past with traditional boarding kennels and this seems to be the perfect fit for her. Ariel was great with sending updates and pictures throughout the day to ease my mind.”

“She kept me super updated on my pup, so many cute pics and she really treated him like her own! This was my first time boarding him and he had a wonderful time and she kept him good and busy 🫶”

About: My daughter Trenna and I grew up with dogs and cats and we love all their different personalities and they bring so much joy to our lives. When you get a dog it’s a commitment. They are our kids. I am looking for a partime job. What a fun opportunity to do something I love. I have three dogs/kids myself. I can’t wait to get home from work and. see their wiggly tails. They don’t care what kind of day you just had, they just want to love on you. When I am home they are wherever I am. During the day they are in their kennels. Two of them are not even 2 yet so they like their toys.
“What a great people! This was my first rover.com booking & Candice was soooo patient as I figured out how to do this. I saw a big difference in my older dachshund Dora compared to how stressed she has been after staying at a kennel compared to staying in a home. She was calm & her normal self when I picked her up compared to the stress I've seen in her when I've left her at a kennel. I received lots of pictures, could see that she was doing fine. Had a last minute change in plans, needed to pick Dora up about 90 minutes later than I'd expected, and Candice & family made it work. Thank you! I would definitely book with them again.”

Over the past several years, I have also provided pet sitting services, caring for both young and elderly animals, as well as those with special needs. I am highly comfortable and confident in administering medications as needed as well as adhering to any specific dietary guidelines. I am a stay at home mom to my 9 month old son, so I have lots of time in my schedule to keep a close eye on your pet and give them as much attention as possible while you’re away! I have a fenced back yard which is perfect for playtime or just to hang out and get some sun! My own dog loves to run around up and down the hill in our yard! I also have a large dog kennel in case that is at all needed.
About: I have grown up with dogs, owned (and currently own) a dog, and absolutely LOVE them as my own. We have an enclosed dog run with a dog door onsite. Joe- did a great job with Jack! He sent lots of pics and kept me updated on how things were going. I would highly recommend him for your pet. He was very flexible as I was just traveling through the area and needed a sitter. It worked out perfectly for me and for Jack.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
