About: I have worked in veterinary medicine for over 4 years gaining hands-on experience with dogs, cats, reptiles and large animals. About: I LOVE DOGS! I lost my sweet jojo (rat terrier mix) 5 years ago and still it’s too soon for me to get another dog… taking care of yours dog(s) will help fill the hole in my heart left by her. I’m fit and active so walks/runs with the dog would be great! I work outdoors but have regular days off due to weather, I am usually off mid afternoon and can check in on pets before or after work. About: I have experience working with zoo animals and I’ve worked at my local humane society and vet clinic. I take the time to understand each dog’s unique behavior in order to become the best of friends! At the vet clinic I was a boarding assistant so each day I handled dozens of different dogs. I try to learn about your pet and treat them just like any other living creature. I have rehabilitated a dog that was destined to be euthanized because of his aggressive behavior. I spent every day with him and did what needed to be done to help him realize the world isn’t that scary when you have a friend to explore it with. Although cats are my animal of choice, dogs are a close second. I work full time as a lab tech at a small dental arts studio. My three co-workers, our boss, and I all have a mutual respect and understanding of each other’s needs. I think we would all agree that pets and personal affairs come first. Meaning I can easily leave work to manage your animals as needed. I have had pets in the house my entire life. I currently live with two cats a a dog, so having your pet stay with me would not really be an option. If your dog is friendly to other dogs, our dog, Beasley, is very well behaved and loves to play with anything that moves! In past house/pet sitting jobs I have gone to the dog park with both her and the owner’s dogs so if that is something you would be ok with I we would have so much fun doing that!
