“Jay was truly amazing! My puppy is only 3 months, so I was really nervous about leaving him with a stranger. To my surprise, Jordan did very well while my family and I were away. Jay did so well with my boy that I have ceased his puppy training with a reputable pet store because he's mastered the skills with Jay.”

“Ciara was terrific with Tank. She had him for almost a week and he was acting very comfortable just like he acts at home. He has never been around cats and small children but did great with both. Ciara knew I was concerned and updated me frequently. This was a longer business trip for us and we were so thankful to have found Ciara. We would highly recommend her! She gets 10 stars in my book!”

“Excellent experience, as always. Henry has stayed with Matt several times. Matt communicates well and often, is great managing the pack, and my Henry is always happy to go back.”

“Raye is amazing! I left my two dogs in her care while I was on vacation for an entire week. This was my first time having her as a dog sitter and my first time having the dogs in somebody else’s home while I was away for a while. She provided them with such great care while I was gone and they were so comfortable, which says a lot since one of my dogs is more anxious and timid. But she took great care of them and made them feel right at home: she took them on lots of walks, they got to enjoy her yard, and they got to spend so much quality time with her and her dog Ollie. She had great communication - she sent me lots of updates and pictures daily, so I knew the dogs were doing well while I was gone. It’s never easy leaving my dogs for a long period of time, but she made the experience so much better. I will definitely use her again in the future and would recommend her to anybody else.”

“Our little guy had a hard time being in a strange place with a strange person so we had to cut his visit short, but Cyndi is willing to work with us to see if we can slowly get him used to it. Much appreciated.”

“We had a great first time experience with Amy! She was responsive, communicative and very easy to work with. Our dog had such a great time playing with the other puppies for the weekend! We got tons of pictures from Amy every day which we loved. Will definitely book again!”

“Kendra is the best! Yasha loves her and Gizmo and lights up whenever I tell her she is going to see them. She is personable and treats my baby like her own!”

“Eric is the best! I recently had a sitter cancel 6 hours before drop-off -- I thought my vacation was ruined! I immediately put out a Sunday morning last-minute Rover requests for a sitter, with very low expectations that anyone would even respond, much less accept. Within a few minutes, Eric responded and then accepted. He totally saved my vacation! After that, he was extremely communicative, but even better, he was perfect for my highly energetic doggo. He gave long dauly walks and play sessions. I knew that my dog would love having his Bucky as a 24/7 playmate, but I was very concerned that he has cats, since Sheba had never seen a cat before. Since she has a high prey drive, I thought there could be serious problems. Eric, however, seems to have a natural understanding of pets, and he was able to safely introduce Sheba to his cats, and apparently there were no issues. Also, Eric was highly flexible when my return flight was delayed by a day, and quickly agreed to extend the stay. I couldn't have asked for a better experience from start to finish.”

“Nicole is absolutely amazing at handling my dogs even when they’re nervous about being in a new environment and being around other dogs. She always takes great care of them and sends update pictures and videos on her own initiative! She’s my go-to and I’d highly recommend her to anyone.”

“Michelle always does a great job sitting my dog. I had a last minute trip planned and she was able to accommodate. I even had a delayed trip back home and she was very flexible which I appreciated.”

“Shay and Jake took such great care of our puppies. As soon as we met them and their awesome kids, we knew that our boys would have a great time while we were out of town. They had plenty of playtime, outside walks, and cuddles with the whole family. The care and security they provided gave us a peace of mind that we have not had with some of our local dog kennels. We will definitely be repeat clients.”

“My pup had a great time with Jesse and his dogs! He got lots of exercise and was a happy boy when we picked him up. Jesse has very prompt and helpful communication. Will book again!”

“Hands down every time I bring my pupper, he is so excited!!! I can tell they have a great connection with my boy and that makes us feel like he is safe. Thanks so much!!!”

“Ryan and Stephanie kept me updated daily on Muppet’s visit and how she was doing. She was getting a lot of attention and loved every minute of it. We were a little late picking her up, but Ryan and Stephanie were understanding. When I picked her up, she was very content and happy and did not seem to have any stress whatsoever.”

“I am more than pleased with the ❤️ and care DAMACIA provided for my 3 months puppy. I would recommend her and we will be going back. Was a little nervous at first, but she reassured me he would be fine even around other Fur Babies.”

“Teona It was fantastic with Charlie. She gave multiple pictures and video updates style just stay with her. Very good care of him. We appreciate her last minute availability! We would use her again if we're ever in the area. And highly recommend!”

Indy had such a great time at Ciara’s! Of course, as a first time booking, I was a little nervous, but any of those feelings were quickly gone. Extremely caring home and care, and I love the updates and pictures along the way! I’m very grateful to have found Ciara and will definitely rebook in the future!

Allison is confident and understanding when handling our dog reactive pittie. He really enjoyed his stay with her and I had peace of mind knowing we could leave him with someone as knowledgable as her in dog behavior, that also understands his needs for attention and comfort. We're new to Virginia and so relieved to have found her!

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
