Blue can be a lot of energy and sometimes I feel guilty leaving him with someone because of that - but Elise was so welcoming. Blue practically jumped into her arms and she just laughed. Made me feel better immediately (and so welcomed). He played with some other dogs, she kept me updated throughout his time there, and I picked him up smiling, wagging his little tail, and tired out (which, YAY). Would book her again and again if I lived in the area!!”

Since then I’ve cared for multiple cats of my own (including litters), and 2 of the sweetest dogs until seniors. I also loved and cared for the cutest peach-faced love bird, named, but of course - Peaches. I believe animals were created for us to be reminded to enjoy each moment we are given. I also believe that they deserve the best care and love through excellent attention to health, play and grooming. I have a set schedule that I will stick to for the most part, with flexibility upon request. Occasionally I will travel as well with advance notice. About: My wife and I love dogs and are excited to have the opportunity to care for your small to medium breed non-aggressive dog(s) under 35 lbs. (Please be advised that our experience has shown that the high energy cattle/sheep dogs, shepherds, etc., are generally not a good fit for us). We both have had dogs all of our lives. We have the experience of caring for dogs through their feeding, grooming, exercising, bathing, and of course lots of loving through their senior years. We are both retired, so your dog(s) will have lots of loving attention and care throughout its/their stay. We have a doggie door so your dog(s) can have free access to our large fenced backyard. We generally accept only one client at a time, so we can give your dog(s) lots of attention and love. We do sometimes allow an overlap with another client's dog, but only if we know the dogs involved get along well. We have one dog, Jax (Cavalier King Charles). He is very loving, playful, and unaggressive. Weather permitting and with your approval, we will include your dog(s) in our daily walks in our neighborhood and excursions to local parks. However we do not allow our dog and your dog(s) in "dog parks" and do not allow them to have exposure to other dogs on our walks. Since we are retired, we will also give lots of cuddles and play in between outings, to keep them engaged. We have a dog toy box full of toys for them to play with, if they want. Just click on our profile pictures to see our "Doggie Hall of Fame" photos which show our care of our clients' dogs. We will follow your instructions, including for special needs, to make sure of your pet(s)’ total care and safety. We have a large and comfy single level home with 24/7 access to a large secure backyard and a doggie door. We will give potty breaks to those dogs that don't want to use the doggie door every couple of hours or as needed. We also have 24/7 video surveillance both inside and outside for their safety. Your dog(s) will have access to the entire house and is/are welcome to cuddle on the furniture, and can sleep in our bedroom in a doggie bed or crate, whichever your pet prefers. However, we do not allow dogs to sleep on our bed. Please let us know if you have any questions or special needs for your dog(s).

About: I had a dog walking business in middle school and high school. I spent several years in Boise volunteering with Boise Bully Breed and fostered a rescue greyhound before that. I have my own dog, a Great Dane/Border Collie Mix and did formal group training with him through the humane society, so I'm very recently refreshed on training skills (leash skills, impulse control) and have experience handling large dogs on leash. Work office hrs Mon-Fri but my partner is currently home full time so someone is home most hours. I usually bike, run, hike, or go to the dog park with my own dog 2x per day. My partner is home during the day and helps with care. I have a very small fenced backyard. My dog is 4 years old and sociable with most dogs. He will play as much as your dog is willing but is also ok to chill. I can bring dogs on walks on the greenbelt or out to foothills if desired or to the park or dog park. We have an off leash area near the river that we frequently go to. Dogs are allowed on furniture.
