“With a last minute request, Dooku spent a weekend with Lindsay and her family. From the onset, Lindsay was very prompt with responses, she was very communicative, pleasant and positive. I expressed a concern about Dooku being susceptible to heat exhaustion because he is a black Lab with two coats and the days were very hot (100 to 105 degrees). Lindsay put me at ease and made it clear that she would take care of him, exercise him lightly and monitor his behavior. Knowing Lindsay and her family had a swimming pool, I cautioned her about Dooku’s love for swimming (it’s a lab thing 🐕🦺🐾) and that she would be challenged keeping him out of the pool. Throughout the stay, Lindsay sent me updates, photos and in no time at all, she informed me Dooku was swimming in her pool with her family and they were having fun! There is nothing like putting your cherished pup in the hands of someone else and knowing they are safe and well taken care of. Dooku will certainly be back and Lindsay comes highly recommended! Blue can be a lot of energy and sometimes I feel guilty leaving him with someone because of that - but Elise was so welcoming. Blue practically jumped into her arms and she just laughed. Made me feel better immediately (and so welcomed). About: I had a dog walking business in middle school and high school. I spent several years in Boise volunteering with Boise Bully Breed and fostered a rescue greyhound before that. I have my own dog, a Great Dane/Border Collie Mix and did formal group training with him through the humane society, so I'm very recently refreshed on training skills (leash skills, impulse control) and have experience handling large dogs on leash. Work office hrs Mon-Fri but my partner is currently home full time so someone is home most hours. I usually bike, run, hike, or go to the dog park with my own dog 2x per day. My partner is home during the day and helps with care. I have a very small fenced backyard. My dog is 4 years old and sociable with most dogs. He will play as much as your dog is willing but is also ok to chill. I can bring dogs on walks on the greenbelt or out to foothills if desired or to the park or dog park. If they need more attention, I can certainly accommodate! My job has the flexibility of letting me work from home if needed. We prefer to let Koda free roam around the house. We don’t have a fenced in backyard but are always taking her out on the leash. She is lower energy for a Doodle and easily bored, so we make sure to give her toys and treats! She loves watching kids movies too so we make sure to have those on while we’re not home. Whether your pup is at my house or yours, they will go out at a minimum of 3 times daily. If they need to be crated or separated from my Koda, we can make that happen too! I will adjust anything in my schedule or routine to accommodate your fur baby. ❤️ We allow dogs on the couch and bed because we love snuggling!

I worked at a doggy daycare for over a year, have been pet and house sitting for neighbors and friends for over 3 years, actively volunteer at a cat shelter since 2017, and have been walking dogs since I was a kid. Our home was always full of animals—strays, rescues, and the occasional “foster fail” who became family. We made room for whoever needed it, and that mindset has stayed with me ever since. I’m comfortable with a full range of pet temperaments, whether they’re anxious zoomers or mellow seniors who just want a calm presence and some TLC. Got a skittish kitty? A bossy little lion? No worries, I speak fluent feline! With a background in cat enrichment and behavior modification, I have a knack for earning the trust of even the most standoffish and secretive cats. Whether your furry companion is shy, bold, or somewhere in between, I can read kitties well, and I always bring a calm, grounded energy that helps them feel safe and secure. I’m also borderline obsessive (in a good way) about secure entries and exits. If your pet is a known escape artist, trust that I’ll take special care not to let them out! About: I have always had animals in my life. Cats, dogs, birds. I have cared for small and large breeds. Raised Rottweilers and our latest rescue is a Pitbull Mastiff mix from Boise Bully Breed. I have cared for pets with special needs also enjoy senior pets. I work part time from home with a very flexible schedule, just need a couple hours a week on my laptop. Available for day and night walks. Over nights work for me as well. Our 3 dogs and 1 cat are all very spoiled. The dogs are seniors so their exercise is always age appropriate. When we have foster pups they all step up for quiet play. Whenever I care for others pets I always want to specialize the care for what works best for the animal. I know my own pets are use to their routines and I think it's important to maintain those as pets can often get anxious when moms and dads are gone.
About: I’ve always loved animals of all kinds. When I was a kid I used to be told not to pet certain animals because they were deemed “unfriendly”, most of them time people were shocked when their animal would warm up to me after making such a statement. Animals are much more intelligent and empathetic than some people give them credit for. Give me a choice between a room full of humans or a room full of animals, and I’ll take the room full of animals every time. I started pet setting when I was 12 and I’ve been doing it on and off ever since. I used to have a dog, sadly he passed from heart failure and I’ve just barely gotten to the point where I’m thinking about getting another. I miss his energy and miss taking him on hikes and long walks. Getting up early is not a problem for me. I live right by the greenbelt so we will be going on lots of walks! At the moment my schedule is very open. I have 2 cats who love dogs, but I know not all dogs love cats. I am more than willing to come over and dog sit and even bring you pup In during the times I’m there as long as your pup likes cats, otherwise me walking your pup and boarding at your house would be better suited for all parties involved.

“With a last minute request, Dooku spent a weekend with Lindsay and her family. From the onset, Lindsay was very prompt with responses, she was very communicative, pleasant and positive. I expressed a concern about Dooku being susceptible to heat exhaustion because he is a black Lab with two coats and the days were very hot (100 to 105 degrees). Lindsay put me at ease and made it clear that she would take care of him, exercise him lightly and monitor his behavior. Knowing Lindsay and her family had a swimming pool, I cautioned her about Dooku’s love for swimming (it’s a lab thing 🐕🦺🐾) and that she would be challenged keeping him out of the pool. Throughout the stay, Lindsay sent me updates, photos and in no time at all, she informed me Dooku was swimming in her pool with her family and they were having fun! There is nothing like putting your cherished pup in the hands of someone else and knowing they are safe and well taken care of. Dooku will certainly be back and Lindsay comes highly recommended! “Amanda was a perfect sitter for my hunting dog Wrigley. Given all the exercise she needed, Wrigley was allowed to socialize/play with Amanda’s two golden retrievers, was fed well, and was thoughtfully protected from the summer heat. This included early morning walks before the heat of the day. Amanda provided photos, videos and feedback to keep me apprised of Wrigley’s overall health, allowing me to more fully enjoy my time away. Wrigley quickly became part of Amanda’s family, and I am confident Wrigley received the best care possible. I highly recommend Amanda for your dog sitting needs.”
