About: My dogs have always been my best friends. I have had experience with small, medium, and large dogs. I am careful to listen to and respect the routine and rules that you have for your fur baby, no matter how big or small. I’m a big fan of taking them for walks on the beach and shady hikes! I also love a good excuse to drive around looking for a good place for my pup to stretch her legs, or be a good cuddle buddy. I am currently a small business owner in private practice as a healthcare provider. Dog sitting was something I loved doing for many years, but paused to do to care for my senior dog for the last 3 years. After recently losing her, and not being ready for a new love of my own, I’d be honored for the opportunity to care for your pet. I live in Kaaawa but am able to travel anywhere on island to care for your pet(s). Thank you for reading my profile, & I hope to hear from you soon! I work from home doing telehealth, largely from 11-4 M/W/F so I have lots of time and breaks to spend with your pet. I spend most days at home, able to provide exercise and maintain routine feeding throughout the day. I am used to administering meds on a schedule and provide frequent updates to owners (if they’d like!). I am careful to follow the house rules and your pet’s routine. I know it takes a lot of trust for someone to care for your fur baby, and I am a trusted member of the community. I am transparent about my stay in your home and understand it is a privilege to be there and be trusted to care for your animal. I provide lots of play time and cuddles! I always leave homes cleaner than they are left. My reviews are older because of the break I took from Rover to care for my senior pup, but I still value the same service.
“MaryAnn was once more exceptional. Having her drop by when we're away for long days has really had a positive impact on Winston, and we are grateful for her and her services. Thank you, MaryAnn!”

About: What sets me apart is the level of care and intention I bring to each visit. I don’t rush through walks or treat them as routine tasks—I make sure your dog gets real engagement, structure, and positive interaction every time. Whether it’s a high-energy walk or a calm check-in, I adapt to what your pet needs that day so they come back happy, balanced, and well cared for. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine because I work from home and have a very flexible schedule. This allows me to plan walks, drop-ins, and visits around the pet’s needs rather than forcing them into a rigid time slot. Since I’m already home throughout the day, I’m able to provide consistent availability, quick response times, and reliable scheduling for morning, midday, and evening care. I can also easily adjust my routine if a pet needs extra attention, a longer walk, or last-minute care. Overall, my flexibility lets me prioritize each pet’s routine and well-being while making sure owners can count on dependable, stress-free support. I care for pets by following their normal routine as closely as possible to keep them comfortable and stress-free. In a client’s home, I respect their space and maintain a calm, clean, and consistent environment while making sure pets get the attention, exercise, and companionship they’re used to. I pay close attention to feeding schedules, walk routines, and any specific instructions provided so nothing is disrupted. During visits, I focus on creating a safe and positive experience—whether that means structured walks, playtime, potty breaks, or just calm companionship for pets who prefer a quieter presence. I also make sure to communicate updates so owners feel confident and informed while they’re away.

“Nicole was fantastic! She bonded with our dog right away and put us and him at ease. She’s been easy to work with and takes special care of our pet, all you can ask of someone coming to your home to take care of your pet. Highly recommend Nicole !”

About: I grew up on a farm and have had dogs of every shape and size my entire life. I have experience with dogs with diabetes and am comfortable giving them their shots. I am willing to drive to any part of the island but I am located in Ewa Beach so please allow grace for traffic if you are townside. Size does not scare me as I was watching over 12 horses daily in Kapolei, my elderly dog requires 4 medications a day so medications are a breeze as I’ve had to learn every trick in the book. *I have an elderly dog and young cat in my home so all animals must pass a flea inspection and have recent vaccines.* I am currently unemployed due to medical conditions not letting me be able to be in large crowds. I can adapt my schedule to you and your animals needs because of this and can be available anytime outside of my appointments and treatment days. I have a larger fenced yard in Ewa Beach, I provide filtered water for all animals and treat any animal in my home as if it were my own. In my house animals are allowed on furniture and beds. I will always leave a space cleaner than found, if I am house sitting/pet sitting I will lightly clean the area. If your animal becomes muddy, or dirty under my care I will wash them. If you don’t want them on furniture I will make sure they do not go on any.
“Alexis was super great! I have a super responsive dog, she understood her needs and exceeded them! Even had a beautiful photo shoot! My rescue instantly loved her. Highly recommend Alexis and definitely will be using her again!”

About: I have taken care of pets for over 10 years now, both my own and for family or friends! I love hanging out with them, going on walks or runs, to the beach, playing fetch, cuddling in the yard, and giving them the love they deserve. I will treat your pet like it is my own! You will always come home to them happy and loved! I’m currently free all week mornings and afternoons. We can enjoy walks around the neighborhood, runs or swims at the beach, or fetch at home or the park. I always make sure to scan the surrounding environment to ensure the utmost safety and care. I make sure to avoid any uncomfortable situations for you or your pup or any mishaps with other dogs. I am trained to de-escalate high stress situations in a calm manner.

“Mike is easy to work with and our big girl loves her play and walk time with Mike. She is always even more happy and content on the days that Mike has come by. We are lucky to have him!”

“Our 2 dogs had so much fun with Casey and her adorable dogs. They were worn out every evening (not a small feat). One of the days she wasn’t able to take them out due to weather, but she took them for double time the next day and issued me a refund for the missed day. I would definitely book with Casey again! Thank you!!”

I work a flexible shift Tuesday-Thursday and work close on base. I am able to be here for the pets most the time and also come home for lunch. About: I have had dogs my entire life, but what truly sets me apart is my professional, hands-on experience working with them every day. I spent over three years at a dog daycare, where I grew from a daycare attendant to a dog trainer, and eventually became the daycare manager. This experience gave me the opportunity to work with dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and personalities in a structured and supervised environment. In addition to my daycare and training background, I have been a responsible dog breeder since 2022, raising four successful litters of Golden Retrievers and Labrador Retrievers. This has given me an even deeper understanding of canine behavior, development, and attentive, hands-on care from early life stages through adulthood. I have a strong understanding of dog body language and behavior, which allows me to safely handle everything from high-energy dogs to more nervous or reactive ones. My goal is always to create a calm, safe, and positive experience for every dog in my care. Dogs are not just a job to me, they are a huge part of who I am. I currently have a Golden Retriever and a Labrador Retriever, and they continue to deepen my love and understanding of what dogs need to feel secure, happy, and well cared for. When caring for your pet, I treat them as if they were my own. You can expect consistent communication, reliability, and attentive care throughout your time away. If you have any questions about my experience or would like to see if I’m a good fit for your pet, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I would love to connect with you. Pet care is a consistent and important part of my daily routine. I structure my schedule around providing dependable, attentive care, including regular feeding times, exercise, and enrichment tailored to each dog’s needs. While I do have dogs of my own, they are on a stable routine and well cared for, which allows me to plan my time responsibly and show up fully for the pets in my care. Because of this, I am mindful about how long I am away from home at a time, but I ensure that every visit and stay is intentional, reliable, and focused on your pet’s comfort and well-being. Whether your dog needs structured walks, playtime, or a calm and consistent presence, I am able to incorporate their routine seamlessly into my day. At this time, I provide care exclusively in my client’s home so that your pet can remain comfortable in their familiar environment and routine. I take pride in following each dog’s specific needs, whether that includes feeding schedules, walks, playtime, training reinforcement, or simply providing a calm and attentive presence. I am very mindful of safety, structure, and reading dog body language to ensure your pet feels secure and well cared for at all times. If your dog enjoys walks, I am happy to take them around your neighborhood or to appropriate outdoor areas, depending on your preferences. I tailor each visit to match your dog’s energy level and routine. I offer a range of services including drop-in visits, walks, and house sitting depending on availability. My goal is to provide reliable, thoughtful care while keeping your pet happy, safe, and comfortable in your absence. If you have any questions, special requests, or concerns, I am always happy to communicate and make sure I am the right fit for you and your pet.

I am working a part-time job right now and would love to be able to spend time taking care of dogs on my days off. About: Hi Everyone! My name is Drew, I moved back to Florida this month from Hawaii. I love walking and taking care of dogs. I’m comfortable with all different breeds and sizes of dogs! Growing up, my family would always rescue dogs. I’d love to help out with your dog(s) in anyway I can, whether that’s dog sitting, walking, or stopping by to let him/her out! I work mornings so I can feed/let out dog before I leave and when I get back. My schedule is very flexible and I can be more available.
About: I got my first dog when I was 4 and started dog sitting for neighbors when I was 8. I worked with a group when I lived in Kansas City that did short term in-home dog fostering for 1 day to two weeks. My puppy experience comes from a few of my friends having puppies, but adult dogs are my favorite. I work full time from home, and can schedule walks in between meetings during the day. If the dog(s) are up for it I would love to take them hiking, SUPing, kayaking, to the beach, and to hang out with my friend's dogs. I prefer to keep the dog on a similar schedule to what they are used to and not overwhelm them with new experiences while their owners are gone. Please provide me with the needed information of your dog's routine.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
