“Cassandra took excellent care of our dog. She provided an extra collar and leash when we forgot ours and kept our pup active and happy throughout the stay. I would definitely rebook with Cassandra in the future.”

“It’s always a little nerve wracking to leave your fur baby for extended periods of time but Bj made it bearable! He was extremely responsive, sent pictures and videos of my dog. Judging from my dog’s happiness at pickup, I could tell that he enjoyed his time. I would highly recommend Bj and plan to use him again. Thank you!”

“We had an excellent experience leaving our pup with Taina over the weekend! She kept Rosie active, frequently sending pictures of their walks, fetch, stick collecting, jogs, play and nap time. We had one happy (and tired) when we returned home. She will be our go-to sitter whenever available!”
“Dwayne and Luna were great! They took care of our fur baby Hazel and she had a blast. He kept us updated and sent us photos of Hazel having a great time. I will be definitely rebooking. Thank you again for everything.”

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life, especially French Bulldogs, and have experience caring for animals of all kinds, from dogs and cats to hamsters, fish, and even horses. I also volunteered at a dog rescue in Chicago for about a year, so I’m very comfortable with dogs who are shy, nervous, need patience, or simply take a little extra time to warm up. I currently have a very friendly French Bulldog of my own, so I’m especially familiar with dogs who need a little extra attention or have health considerations. He recently had spinal surgery, which has given me firsthand experience with giving medication, following restrictions, keeping up with special care instructions, and being extra attentive to a dog’s comfort and mobility. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes, ages, personalities, and energy levels. Whether your dog wants three long walks a day and nonstop playtime or would rather curl up on the couch and get attention, I’m happy to meet them where they are. I genuinely love having animals around and treat every dog in my care like they’re my own. I work from home full-time, which makes my schedule extremely flexible and allows me to give pets a lot of attention throughout the day. Your dog will not be left alone for long stretches while I’m at work. I’m able to take multiple walks throughout the day, accommodate different potty schedules, give medications or additional care when needed, and adjust my routine around your dog’s normal schedule. I’m also very flexible with drop-off and pick-up times and will do my best to make things as easy and convenient as possible for you. I have an elevator and potty area in my building so no need for stairs/going far! I want every dog to feel safe, comfortable, and at home while they’re with me. My dog is extremely friendly and would love to keep them company, but I’m also happy to give dogs their own space and alone time whenever they need it. I’m able to completely separate a dog if needed and care for them that way! I’m very attentive to each dog’s personality, routine, and individual needs, including medications, dietary restrictions, anxiety, or other special care. Dogs are welcome on the couch and in my bed, and since I work from home, they’ll get plenty of attention, supervision, and love throughout the day. I’m willing to send photo updates throughout the stay, usually one update every 4-5 hours, so you can feel at ease knowing everything is going okay!
“This was our first time using Rover for a boarding service and Hailey was wonderful! Our two pups stayed with Hailey for 3 nights and I knew they were in great hands. She was communicating throughout the weekend with updates and sent tons of pictures. So grateful for her attentiveness and genuine care for our girls :)”

“Our dog Violet had such a great time with Anna and her family. Communication was excellent and she sent plenty of pictures to make us feel at ease. Her dogs and family treated Violet like their own you can see it by her poses and comfort in the pictures. Highly recommend and will be taking Violet back to Anna for any boarding or care needs.”

“I am so grateful for Chavelly for taking care of my fur baby this past weekend. She sent pictures and videos daily to show me he was ok and happy. Thank you Chavelly! I will definitely keep you in mind for any future services I may need with Rover! :)”

“Abigail was amazing! She was very friendly, professional and took great care of my dog. She sent lots of wonderful photos and is a great communicator. I would highly recommend her services to anyone in the area or visiting. Will definitely use her again.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Progress Village
Claudia was beyond great! She took care of my little baby even though it was not easy. She taught her how to go through the little doggy door to go outside. Her dog Nacho, he was the sweetest with me and my dog even when Nova didn’t like him at the beginning. He was patience with her and help my dog to feel secure in this new environment. This dog is not harmful and you will love him once you meet him. Overall this experience was great for me and my dog, Claudia sent me pictures and videos twice a day or even more! I definitely look forward to bringing my dog back to them if they allow me to!

This was Zoey’s second stay with Isabel, and she took such wonderful care of her for the seven days I was away! She sent multiple updates throughout each day, which gave me so much peace of mind knowing she was happy and well cared for. I’m so appreciative of the love and attention she gives her. Highly recommend!

Katherine was an absolute gem for our dog Max! Throughout his entire stay, she kept us updated daily with messages and photos, which made a world of difference. Knowing he was eating well and seeing him happy in the pictures gave us so much peace of mind we could actually enjoy our time away without worrying. You could tell from every photo that he was having the time of his life! 😄 We truly appreciate how caring and attentive Katherine was with our boy. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, communicative pet sitter. Thank you, Katherine, for taking such great care of Max 🐾 for the 2nd time.

Victor and Tracy were very attentive and communicated with me about my babies everyday. I got videos and photos and could see how much my dogs enjoyed their time running around and playing everyday. Will definitely rebook with them and highly recommend to anyone wanting the best for their pups

Malik was incredibly kind and comforting to both my Koko and me. This was our first time doing boarding, and being apart wasn’t easy. Koko is only one year old. We met two days beforehand so, Koko could get familiar with him. Malik made sure he felt safe from the very beginning. He took wonderful care of my boy and kept me updated with messages and photos. Even checked in about how to soothe Koko during a thunderstorm. His communication and genuine care meant so much to me. Leaving your puppy with someone is never simple, but Malik is more than a sitter—he’s someone you can trust and I highly recommend him. Thank you!

Olivia was incredibly communicative and took such good care of our dogs. Our dogs looked like they were having a blast at her place. Our trip went south when our flight home was delayed a whole day, however, Olivia had the flexibility to keep our boys for another night. We are forever grateful. Highly recommend Olivia!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Progress Village home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Progress Village.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Progress Village sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
