About: I’ve been up around animals my whole life and have experience with all different types. I’m comfortable with pets at every stage, from energetic puppies and kittens to senior pets who need a little extra patience and care. I’m reliable when it comes to sticking to routines, whether that’s specific feeding times, multiple daily walks, or just giving your pet the attention they’re used to. I genuinely love spending time with animals and will treat your pet like my own while you’re away. I work remotely, so I’m home throughout the day and able to give pets plenty of attention, potty breaks, and playtime. I also go on several walks throughout the day for dogs that need extra exercise or energy release. I’m available for boarding in my home, as well as drop-in visits and check-ins throughout the day depending on your pet’s needs and routine. I have a fenced-in yard where dogs can safely run around and explore, and I always make sure pets are supervised and comfortable while in my care. I’m happy to follow any feeding schedules, medication instructions, crate routines, or special requests to help your pet feel at home. I can care for pets at my house or make visits to your home throughout the day to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible.

I understand that your pets are family, and they deserve a sitter who is as invested in their well-being as you are. I live in a quiet South City home (63111) featuring a fully fenced-in backyard. This offers your pups a secure, private environment where they can run, play, and explore safely—a rare find in many parts of the city! While I am currently a "cat dad" to my 8-year-old resident cat, I have been a lifelong dog owner. From my earliest childhood memories until earlier this year, dogs have always been a central part of my home and heart. This lifelong experience means I am deeply familiar with canine behavior, exercise needs, and the unique companionship they provide. I am an expert at managed, slow introductions to ensure that my senior cat and your pups coexist peacefully and safely. Daily Care: As a high school science teacher, I am currently on summer break and have transitioned into "full-time pet care" mode! My schedule is wide open from late May through mid-August, meaning I am home throughout the day to provide frequent potty breaks, backyard playtime, and plenty of companionship. Weekly Availability: I offer a rotating schedule for boarding. My calendar is always kept up-to-date, so you can easily see which days I am open for overnight stays or daycare only. Consistency: Because I am not balancing an office job during the summer, I can strictly adhere to whatever feeding, medication, or exercise schedule your pet requires. I pay close attention to details—from a dog’s body language and energy levels to their specific feeding and medication schedules. My goal is to create a predictable, low-stress environment where your pet feels like a member of the family. I have a fully (6 foot tall) fenced-in backyard where dogs can play safely. I always supervise yard time to ensure no "great escapes" or unwanted digging. I also always clean up after bathroom breaks in my yard. I use baby gates and separate "safe zones" to ensure my cat and your pups coexist peacefully. I worked for a vet clinic many years ago but still remember some emergency techniques. I can send daily photos and keep your vet's information at hand. It's also good for me to know more about your pet as in: Does your pet have any "triggers" (squirrels, mailmen, other dogs)? Are there any "off-limits" pieces of furniture or rooms? What is their favorite way to be comforted if they get homesick? Etc.

“It was our first time using Rover and we were so happy we went with Viki. We did a meet/greet with her first and my dog was immediately comfortable with her, her dog, and in her home and yard. She was extremely flexible about drop/pick up times which was amazing since we had no clue until the day before what those would be. She also sent us TONS of pictures which made me so happy! You could definitely tell my dog was having a blast and being taken care of very well. I was anxious since it was our first time, but she was very sweet and calming and completely eased my nerves. I will definitely be using her again!”

About: I’ve grown up around animals of all kinds, including dogs, cats, rabbits, rats, pigs, sheep, and cows, so caring for animals has always been a natural part of my life. I currently have a dog named Sharon, whom I originally fostered along with her five puppies for eight weeks - an experience that gave me plenty of hands on experience caring for puppies and dogs with different needs and personalities. Many of my closest friendships were built around our shared love of dogs, and we’ve regularly helped care for each other’s pets over the years. I’ve hosted dogs in my own home, as well as stayed in clients’ homes to care for elderly dogs who needed extra attention, patience, and comfort. I genuinely enjoy making pets feel safe, loved, and well cared for while their owners are away. Currently working from home so I will be a constant presence throughout the day. This also allows me to take your dog for as many walks as needed or any other specific services required. I have one dog who is usually a couch potato and sleeps all day. She is very dog friendly in all aspects. I have a fenced in backyard and a doggy door so they have full access. Toys and treats are available (if allowed)! Happy to follow any and all instructions.

At pickup time they provided advice based off of what they experienced during the stay to help her next stay be just that much better for my pup.
