I work from home in Tower Grove South and typically am out of the house from 9 to 10 for exercise, but other than that I stay home and work. I try to take my dog for a walk around 2pm every weekday around the neighborhood.

When I am working I try to take breaks every 30 minutes for attention and pets. But of course if a pet is needed in between intervals a wet nose to my hand on the keyboard is always appreciated. Typically we go for walks in the neighborhood and park sometime in the afternoon. We keep a gate in between the kitchen where the food is and where the dogs spend most of their day because one our dog is known to get in to the trash can from time to time. There are dog beds strategically placed around the house for napping in any room. Our dog sleeps upstairs in our room on her own dog bed.

Information Walter J. would like to know about your pet
Does your dog display any food aggression? (so we can plan meal times accordingly) Where do you keep your dog when there are no humans in the house? Crate, room with door closed, free range of the house, etc. Any special dietary needs or particularly yummy foods your dog enjoys? Any foods to avoid?
A typical day
We love to walk around the neighborhood and into the park. Sniff walks are our favorite and we like to fetch in the backyard. There are a variety of toys in the house as well!

Pet care experience
Hey There! My wife and I watch dogs in our home. We have one older dog who is great with other dogs of all ages. We pride ourselves on keeping a clean and comfortable home. Rest assured that our home will be a safe place for your dogs. Because of the age of our dog, we typically only take dogs over the age of 5. Our promise to our clients is to make sure that our dogs are kept just as they are at their own home. We provide daily walks up to an hour for our clients that require it (weather depending). We typically feed dogs who stay with us at 6:30 am and 6pm with treats throughout the day and a dental chew before bed, if permitted by the owner. We require new clients to meet us in public before accepting them on our schedule and we will not have more than 2 outside dogs at a time. We offer dog beds as well as 2 crates if needed.
Reviews

Super Grateful to Walter and his wife for the outstanding care he gave to our best boy. They went above and beyond in every aspect and Peanut was happy and relaxed when he came home. Can’t recommend enough!

My girls had the best time over the 4th of July! I only requested a couple of proof of life photos but I got several each day. Dogs are definitely treated like family in this house.

Our pup Sticks always has a fantastic stay with Walter and Maddie and their dogs! They are super sweet and accommodating, and were just recently able to host our pup on pretty short notice which we appreciated. They send regular updates and I have 100% confidence that our dog is being taken care of as well as he would be at home. Thanks again you two!

Walter was so great with our pup! We got plenty of pupdates and would highly recommend to anyone needing a rover!
