About: I've spent much of my life living with and caring for dogs--from growing up with dogs throughout childhood, to helping care for dogs as an adult, to having Spencer, my most recent dog. I don't currently have pets of my own, which means visiting dogs get my full attention and don't have to adjust to unfamiliar resident animals. I genuinely miss having a dog around! I work from home and love the idea of giving someone's dog a cozy, low-stress place to stay while their humans are away. I intentionally accept dogs from only one household at a time, so I'm able to get to know their routine, personality, and quirks and make sure they get lots of individual attention. I have a dog door that suits a large dog and a fenced-in backyard in beautiful Southwest Garden, across from The Hill. I'm comfortable following detailed feeding and medication instructions and am happy to care for senior dogs. I'm currently focusing on friendly, reliably housetrained adult small and medium dogs that I can comfortably handle on leash. I prefer a meet-and-greet before a first stay so that both the dog and I can ensure we're comfortable together. And I love sending photos and updates! Getting pictures of Spencer when I traveled always made me happy, so I'm delighted to do the same for you. I work from home Monday through Friday from 9am-6pm, so I’m home much of the day and can easily fit walks, playtime, meals, potty breaks, and plenty of attention into my routine. I live on a quiet, tree-lined street with sidewalks and no through traffic, just ten houses from Sublette Park. I love walking the perimeter of the park, so dogs who enjoy walks will have plenty of opportunities to get out and "sniff the puppy newspaper." I’m happy to take dogs for several walks a day depending on their normal routine and energy level. I do leave the house for errands and activities, so dogs should be comfortable relaxing at home alone for a few hours at a time. I have a quiet, dog-friendly home with no resident pets, and I only host dogs from one household at a time. I have a large, fully fenced privacy backyard for supervised play and potty breaks, plus a dog door that can be closed and locked when needed. Dogs are welcome to relax on my large couch, which is always covered with waterproof pet blankets. At night, dogs can sleep in their own crate in my downstairs den, on the couch, or--if they’re well behaved without a crate--on a dog bed in my bedroom. I don’t provide a crate, so owners should bring one if their dog needs it. I prefer to meet new dogs before their first stay so I can learn their routine and make sure I can handle them comfortably and safely. I’m currently best suited for friendly, reliably housetrained adult dogs who aren’t strong pullers, destructive chewers, or determined escape artists.

About: I’ve always loved dogs, whether they were mine or those of friends. I’ve had dogs for many years, and they have been my best buddies! I adopted Stanley last September from Have a Heart Rescue. Stanley is very playful and loves to play with other dogs. He is only 17 pounds and full of energy and loads of love. He enjoys “walking” other dogs if he can get ahold of their leashes and loves to do zoomies in the yard and play tag with other dogs. As he is a small pup, I would prefer to only watch dogs up to 40 pounds and must be socialized with other dogs and people. As I am retired now, I would love to start dog sitting in my home and would be open to doggy daycare. I am rarely away from the house for more than two hours at a time. I have a fully fenced in yard with plenty of room to play. Dogs have always been allowed on the chairs, sofas and on the bed. Who wants to sleep on the floor? I have been unofficially dog sitting for almost 40 years, and have recently started dog sitting for pay. I believe it is a good idea for the dogs and owners to have a meet-and-greet as it’s a great way to make sure we’re all a good fit and gives us the opportunity to meet and talk about our expectations. As a dog owner, I know how difficult it can be to be away from your little buddies, so I’m here to make that separation as easy as possible. When your pup stays with me, I’m always happy to send photos and updates so you can enjoy your time away rest assured that your pup is happy and healthy, and to see just how much fun we’re having. I would be happy to provide references upon request and discuss pricing and any questions you may have by phone or direct messaging. I am retired, and I have all the time needed to take care of your dog. I am home most days and I'm generally only gone for a few hours at a time. I have a fenced yard and a playful dog who will be happy to keep your dog company while you are away. They will be treated as my own.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life. I only recently, in the past couple of years, started taking care of other people’s pups, and I really enjoy it. I treat all pups as if they were my own. I am retired. I play pickleball quite a bit, but I am never gone more than a few hours at a time. My husband works from home, so there is almost always someone around to accompany your pup. My favorite part of the job is showering pups with love. We have mattresses on the floor and if the pups are willing, we love to snuggle with them. I typically walk them 4 to 6 times a day, depending on the wants/needs of the pup and the weather. I will be sure to check in multiple times daily with you and send photos and videos. I am very quick to respond to messages!

I’m comfortable with pets at every stage, from energetic puppies and kittens to senior pets who need a little extra patience and care. I’m reliable when it comes to sticking to routines, whether that’s specific feeding times, multiple daily walks, or just giving your pet the attention they’re used to. I genuinely love spending time with animals and will treat your pet like my own while you’re away. I work remotely, so I’m home throughout the day and able to give pets plenty of attention, potty breaks, and playtime. I also go on several walks throughout the day for dogs that need extra exercise or energy release. I’m available for boarding in my home, as well as drop-in visits and check-ins throughout the day depending on your pet’s needs and routine. I have a fenced-in yard where dogs can safely run around and explore, and I always make sure pets are supervised and comfortable while in my care. I’m happy to follow any feeding schedules, medication instructions, crate routines, or special requests to help your pet feel at home. I can care for pets at my house or make visits to your home throughout the day to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible.
