“Isa took such great care of our puppy! This was my first time using Rover and leaving my puppy with a sitter instead of a doggy daycare. Isa answered all of my questions about the process and gave me the chance to come meet her first. She was also very flexible as I had to book it sort of last minute and didn't have an exact time of when we would be picking up our puppy. Also our puppy was still finishing recovery from a recent surgery, and Isa was very understanding of this and made sure he got enough Rex. I really appreciated Isa's updates and pictures throughout the day, and I know our puppy had a lot of fun as he was very tired when he got home! Thank you again Isa, we will definitely bring our puppy back in the future!”

About: I've spent much of my life living with and caring for dogs--from growing up with dogs throughout childhood, to helping care for dogs as an adult, to having Spencer, my most recent dog. I don't currently have pets of my own, which means visiting dogs get my full attention and don't have to adjust to unfamiliar resident animals. I genuinely miss having a dog around! I work from home and love the idea of giving someone's dog a cozy, low-stress place to stay while their humans are away. I intentionally accept dogs from only one household at a time, so I'm able to get to know their routine, personality, and quirks and make sure they get lots of individual attention. I have a dog door that suits a large dog and a fenced-in backyard in beautiful Southwest Garden, across from The Hill. I'm comfortable following detailed feeding and medication instructions and am happy to care for senior dogs. I'm currently focusing on friendly, reliably housetrained adult small and medium dogs that I can comfortably handle on leash. I prefer a meet-and-greet before a first stay so that both the dog and I can ensure we're comfortable together. And I love sending photos and updates! Getting pictures of Spencer when I traveled always made me happy, so I'm delighted to do the same for you. I work from home Monday through Friday from 9am-6pm, so I’m home much of the day and can easily fit walks, playtime, meals, potty breaks, and plenty of attention into my routine. I live on a quiet, tree-lined street with sidewalks and no through traffic, just ten houses from Sublette Park. I love walking the perimeter of the park, so dogs who enjoy walks will have plenty of opportunities to get out and "sniff the puppy newspaper." I’m happy to take dogs for several walks a day depending on their normal routine and energy level. I do leave the house for errands and activities, so dogs should be comfortable relaxing at home alone for a few hours at a time. I have a quiet, dog-friendly home with no resident pets, and I only host dogs from one household at a time. I have a large, fully fenced privacy backyard for supervised play and potty breaks, plus a dog door that can be closed and locked when needed. Dogs are welcome to relax on my large couch, which is always covered with waterproof pet blankets. At night, dogs can sleep in their own crate in my downstairs den, on the couch, or--if they’re well behaved without a crate--on a dog bed in my bedroom. I don’t provide a crate, so owners should bring one if their dog needs it. I prefer to meet new dogs before their first stay so I can learn their routine and make sure I can handle them comfortably and safely. I’m currently best suited for friendly, reliably housetrained adult dogs who aren’t strong pullers, destructive chewers, or determined escape artists.

We were a bit worried about how long it would take him to feel comfortable in a new environment, but based on the pictures they sent and how quickly he fell asleep after being picked up, he had an enjoyable and eventful day! Not only was it clear that Hailie truly loves animals, but their dog Evie was playful with Yodi and helped get all his energy out. About: I’ve always loved dogs, whether they were mine or those of friends. I’ve had dogs for many years, and they have been my best buddies! I adopted Stanley last September from Have a Heart Rescue. Stanley is very playful and loves to play with other dogs. He is only 17 pounds and full of energy and loads of love. He enjoys “walking” other dogs if he can get ahold of their leashes and loves to do zoomies in the yard and play tag with other dogs. As he is a small pup, I would prefer to only watch dogs up to 40 pounds and must be socialized with other dogs and people. As I am retired now, I would love to start dog sitting in my home and would be open to doggy daycare. I am rarely away from the house for more than two hours at a time. I have a fully fenced in yard with plenty of room to play. Dogs have always been allowed on the chairs, sofas and on the bed. Who wants to sleep on the floor? I have been unofficially dog sitting for almost 40 years, and have recently started dog sitting for pay. I believe it is a good idea for the dogs and owners to have a meet-and-greet as it’s a great way to make sure we’re all a good fit and gives us the opportunity to meet and talk about our expectations. As a dog owner, I know how difficult it can be to be away from your little buddies, so I’m here to make that separation as easy as possible. When your pup stays with me, I’m always happy to send photos and updates so you can enjoy your time away rest assured that your pup is happy and healthy, and to see just how much fun we’re having. I am retired, and I have all the time needed to take care of your dog. I am home most days and I'm generally only gone for a few hours at a time.
