While I am currently a "cat dad" to my 8-year-old resident cat, I have been a lifelong dog owner. From my earliest childhood memories until earlier this year, dogs have always been a central part of my home and heart. This lifelong experience means I am deeply familiar with canine behavior, exercise needs, and the unique companionship they provide. I am an expert at managed, slow introductions to ensure that my senior cat and your pups coexist peacefully and safely. Daily Care: As a high school science teacher, I am currently on summer break and have transitioned into "full-time pet care" mode! My schedule is wide open from late May through mid-August, meaning I am home throughout the day to provide frequent potty breaks, backyard playtime, and plenty of companionship. Weekly Availability: I offer a rotating schedule for boarding. My calendar is always kept up-to-date, so you can easily see which days I am open for overnight stays or daycare only. Consistency: Because I am not balancing an office job during the summer, I can strictly adhere to whatever feeding, medication, or exercise schedule your pet requires. If you want someone to make your animal feel special, please keep me in mind. I have enthusiastically attended a hamster's birthday party, and that is the energy I'd put into your animal. I also personally have experience with golden retrievers, labs, mini aussies, siberian cats, etc. I would love to teach your dog new tricks or just cuddle and play with them. I hope to care for your animal(s), and provide excellent communication and service for both the animal and owner! I'm currently spending most of my time in Weldon Spring, MO planning my wedding and starting a small business. I spend about 8 days in Indiana every month to visit my fiancé, but those travel dates are very flexible and I can drive back as needed (4.5 hours away). I don't currently offer boarding services as I'm back in the family home, but I will be offering those as soon as I get a home. Stay tuned! If I'm in your home, I am following your rules. About: I have always had animals around me my whole life. My wife and I currently have two sweet cats and we see her families dog very often. I grew up walking my cousins dogs and am good with most any kind of animal! I am currently a full time student so I have lots of time and a flexible schedule for taking care of pets. I have also assisted with much of the care and feeding of a dog and several cats over the years. I live in South St. Louis City, and I can only really work there or in areas near there, but if you live close to me you will never be without the help you need. I can stay in your house if you'd like me to, but I can't keep other people's pets in my house because I have a very nervous and shy cat who would be made uncomfortable by this and a crazy dog who might scare your pets. I repeat: I can stay in your house or I can just pop in and out to take care of your pets, but I cannot have outside animals stay in my home. I also walk dogs. The rates for that might be a little bit different, but I assure you they will still be affordable. I have to say though that I cannot walk for an extended period in thunderstorms or freezing/icey temperatures. That's for my safety as well as your dog's. I will be your pet's new best friend and your asset when you are in a pinch or are going somewhere and can't take care of them. I have loved animals since I was a child, and I rarely find one with which I don't get along. I don't have a job which will take me out of town frequently, so I can provide my services as long as they are needed. I look forward to meeting you and your adorable animal friends! About: Hello STL pet parents! I am new to Rover but I've taken care of all ages, sizes, and various breeds of dogs since I was young, ranging from Chihuahuas to 110 lb Bouviers. My husband (former dog trainer) and I are the proud dog parents of two friendly rescue chihuahua mixes and we take them everywhere with us when we can and consider them to be our family. We have also had the privilege of caring for a rescue pittie who was skittish around other dogs at first, and a pug lab mix who never met a stranger. I nursed one of my current rescues through heartworm treatment after first adopting her and saw our pug lab mix through chemo when she was diagnosed with lymphoma. I take the care and love of dogs very seriously and believe we owe them the utmost respect. It would be my honor to apply that same philosophy of care and compassion (and fun!) with your beloved family member. I can be available any day of the week, though I prefer notice for weekends. Overall however I can be flexible! If the service is a walk I would prefer that to take place before 6:30 p.m. My yard is fenced in with a privacy fence and if I let dogs into the yard I am always out there with them the entire time. I have two small dogs who are friendly and enjoy gentle playing with others. I'm also comfortable visiting in your home or taking your doggo out on an adventure.

“We had a great experience with Marie and her family! She was available to do a meet and greet before we left Cooper with her for a long weekend and was very flexible on drop off and pick up timing. We got updates throughout the weekend and Cooper came home absolutely exhausted, a sure sign of a good time. We like that he was able to get a lot of interaction with the kids, and they all seemed to like helping out. We will definitely have Marie on our list next time we need a place for Cooper to stay.”
