About: I am currently studying dog training and actively working toward professional certification. I focus on positive reinforcement, reading canine body language, and creating calm, structured environments tailored to each dog’s needs. This allows me to provide safe, thoughtful care, especially for dogs who are anxious, high-energy, or need consistency. Pet care is part of my everyday routine. I keep days structured with regular walks, enrichment, and downtime, and I work from home so pets are rarely left alone. This works especially well for dogs who do better with consistency or need a calmer environment. I provide pet sitting in my clients’ homes so pets can stay in their own familiar environment. I follow your routines closely, including feeding, walks, medication if needed, and enrichment, while keeping stress low and schedules consistent.

Cathy did so well with our German Shepherd. He pulls us pretty hard on walks, but wasn’t an issue for Cathy. She was prompt and caring and very communicative. Would definitely request her services again!

About: I'm an animal lover looking to spend more time away from the keyboard and would love to spend time taking care of your furry family member! I have 3 cats at home and lost my soul pup in the fall of 2025 💔. I've been on Rover for several years now, I grew up with cats and a dog, and have always been a huge animal lover. I've volunteered at the cat café in East Lansing keeping the cat room clean, performing wellness checks, and giving extra love to the kitties there. I've also volunteered at humane societies in my hometown and near my college by dog walking, socializing cats, and maintaining facilities as necessary. Reach out to me if you have any questions or if you'd like to see if we'd be a good fit! I'm not currently working full time (which will hopefully change soon) so I have a lot of flexibility when it comes to meet & greets, drop-ins, and dog walking. I have a large fenced in yard with some wild critters about (bunnies andgroundhogs mostly). I would spend time taking walks, playing, and training along with all the essentials.

About: I’ve been passionate about caring for animals my entire life. Growing up with dogs and cats of all sizes—from tiny Shih Tzus to massive Mastiffs—has given me firsthand experience in understanding and meeting their unique needs. Since my teens, I’ve volunteered at a kennel and the Humane Society, deepening my skills and love for working with pets. As a reliable and attentive pet sitter, I’ll treat your furry family members as if they were my own. Whether they need cuddles, exercise, or just someone to keep them company, I’m here to provide the care and attention they deserve. Let me know how I can help give you peace of mind while you’re away! Currently, I have just moved into the area and have lots of availability! I also am currently going to school online, so that helps free my schedule. Willing to book unanticipated appointments as well :) In my client’s home, I focus on providing attentive, personalized care. I ensure pets stay on their feeding schedules, can administer oral medications responsibly, and adapt to their unique needs—whether that means long walks, playtime, or plenty of cuddles. My goal is to make them feel comfortable, loved, and well cared for.

Anthony is honestly the best. He has been walking them for a couple months now and they LOVE IT. He is so happy to see them and is very particular and diligent about reporting on cards and making sure they have a great (and tiring) time. I am SO GLAD I found him and will definitely continue using his services.

Nikki has been great with my young dog. She has walked/dropped in to check on him during two separate occasions when he was healing from surgery or other procedures from the vet. She is great about sending updates for when she is on the way to my house and on my dog’s mood that day. She is very good at reading him and judging whether he wanted to walk that day or just hang out in the backyard. I recommend Nikki for drop in visits or dog walks.

About: I have been pet sitting since I was in college, providing care mostly to dogs and cats, including dog walks, playtime, administering medicine and medical care (including daily shots) to both dogs and cats. About: Animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember! I've owned and cared for a variety of pets over the years and have experience with animals of different ages, personalities, and care needs. One of the most rewarding parts of my pet-care journey has been fostering. I'm currently a pet care specialist and foster with Capital Area Humane Society (CAHS) and have also fostered for other shelters in the past. Through fostering, I've cared for pets who were shy, energetic, recovering from medical procedures, learning social skills, or simply looking for a safe place to land before finding their forever homes. I also have two dogs who don't currently live with me, but I absolutely love spending time with them whenever I can. Whether it's long walks, outdoor adventures, or hiking local trails, I'm happiest when I have a furry companion by my side. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, loved, and cared for while their owners are away. I work shorter shifts at Capital Area Humane Society, so my schedule allows me the flexibility to provide reliable and attentive care for pets throughout the week. I make it a priority to plan my day around the pets I'm caring for so they receive the attention, exercise, potty breaks, meals, and companionship they need. Whether your pet thrives on a structured routine or is more laid-back, I'm happy to work with their individual schedule and needs. Communication is important to me, so you can also expect regular updates, photos, and check-ins while you're away. I understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big decision, and I take that responsibility seriously. My approach is centered on safety, patience, and positive interactions. As a foster caregiver, I've worked with animals from many different backgrounds, which has taught me how to read body language, respect boundaries, and help pets feel comfortable in new situations. I carefully follow all owner instructions regarding feeding, medications, exercise, routines, and household rules. I believe every pet deserves individualized care and attention. My goal is to provide a safe, stress-free experience where both pets and owners feel confident and comfortable. You can count on me to treat your pets with the same love and care I would give my own.

About: I've taken care of both dogs and cats for as long as I can remember. Ever since I was a kid I would help out friend, family members, and neighbors with their pets. I've had a lot of experience caring for all sorts of animals through means of daily check-in's, going on walks, and overnight stays! I am currently a student at MSU with a somewhat flexible schedule during the week and I am available in mornings on saturday and sundays, I am also available sunday nights. I live with two dogs who would definitely keep your dog some very friendly company, they also love cats as well! I love taking my own dog on walks and there is a nice little park very close to my house that I love to walk my dog to.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
