About: My love of dogs started in 4th grade when my family adopted the best black Labrador ever! We named him Smoky. I fed him and cared for him. He loved to take walks and fetch sticks. I am organized and can follow a written schedule. My daughter has been doing Rover for a couple of years now. She has taught me the ins and outs of caring for pets in another person’s home. She has encouraged me to do this due to my capabilities and love of pets. I am retired. I have flexibility. My business background taught me the organizational skills to mesh together multiple schedules. And I know how to treat your home with respect. I will follow your written instructions. Feeding, medication, brushing, walking, sleeping. If your pet has had a trauma, I need to know about it. Communication is key. If I am at your home on trash day, I will take out the trash. Let me know what day it is. I will collect your mail. Your home will be treated with respect. Non smoking homes only. Your pet will be loved.

About: Hello! I've been working with dogs professionally for 3 years. I also work at Ruff Canine Club in Scott's Addition as a "rufferee"! I'm very interested in dog behavior so I've learned a lot over the years about handling all sizes, levels of reactivity and unique quirks. Can't forget about CATS! I love them too :) I am comfortable administering medication, vet visits, walks, yard play, managing multi pet households, puppies and seniors. I am currently working part time and have a very flexible schedule. I have a car so I can easy transport to and from homes. Unfortunately, with where I am living, I am unable to board pets at my residence. I provide in home sitting through my personal business and do not offer it through Rover (only walks and drop ins).

About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs and cats for as long as I can remember! Growing up as an only child, our pets were my built-in best friends and caring for them was my responsibility from a young age. That love for animals has only grown with me. Over the years, friends and neighbors have trusted me to drop in, walk, and stay with their pets while they’re away, and I genuinely love getting to know each animal and their individual personality, routines, and quirks. These days, I’m a mom to a toddler and three very loved pets of my own, including my Golden Retriever, who is always happy to join me for a random walk during the day! I’d love to add a few more furry friends to my walking schedule and give them the same attention, patience, and affection I give my own. In our house, pets aren’t just pets, they’re family. I know how much trust it takes to leave a beloved pet in someone else’s care, and I’ll always treat yours with the same love and importance I would want someone to give mine. Whether they need a good walk, some playtime, company, or just someone to make sure they feel safe and loved while you’re away, I’d be so happy to be that person! I work from home, which gives me a lot of flexibility throughout my day! I’m able to come and go as needed, so fitting walks, drop-ins, and visits into my daily routine is easy. I also have a great support system at home, which allows me to be flexible with scheduling and give your pets the time and attention they need. Because my work is remote, I can also bring it with me when needed! If your pet would benefit from a little extra company beyond a typical drop-in, I’m happy to settle in with my laptop and spend some additional time with them rather than rushing out the door. As a mom and pet owner myself, caring for both little humans and furry family members is already a big part of my everyday life. My child has been raised around animals and taught from the beginning to be gentle and respectful of their space. My schedule allows me plenty of freedom to make pet care a natural, and very welcome, part of my day! In our house, pet care is part of our everyday routine! I make sure fresh water is always available both upstairs and downstairs and changed daily, my cats’ food is checked and replenished each day, and my dog eats on a consistent twice-daily schedule. When I’m home, my dog gets a morning or afternoon walk, plenty of trips outside to our fenced backyard throughout the day, and usually a daycare day or two each week for some extra exercise and socialization. When I leave the house, I’m also very mindful of his safety, he stays comfortably downstairs with access to his bed and water, potential chewing hazards are put away, and toys that require supervision are never left out. I’d bring that same level of attention to caring for your pets! I know every animal and household has its own routine, so I’m happy to follow your feeding schedule, potty or litter box routine, walking preferences, playtime rules, and any other instructions that help your pet feel comfortable. Whether your pet thrives on a strict schedule or has their own wonderfully specific set of quirks, I want their routine to feel as normal as possible while you’re away.

About: Hi, I'm Jackie! I've had animal companions for just about my whole life, and dogs and cats have always held a special place in my heart. So whatever your pet's personality, chances are I've cared for one just like them. I have hands-on experience raising and training puppies, and I'm comfortable administering medication. I take pet care seriously, and I treat every animal like one of my own. Your loved one will be in good hands with me! I have a very flexible schedule so I'm able to visit your pet when they need it the most. I like to walk dogs first thing in the morning so they are relaxed. For cats, I'll play with them either before or after their food depending on their mood. I love to start out the mornings with a walk for dogs and then feeding. For cats, I’ll usually feed then wait and play unless the cat has a lot of energy beforehand.

About: I grew up with a dog when i was really little. I have dog sat and walked for my neighbors multiple times. And I’m currently living with my friend’s dog and cats. Currently as college student home for break, my weekdays are fully available. I am used to waking up early and I am pretty active so early morning walks will be a breeze. I like to take note of small habit and dos and don’ts to look back and be thorough in pet care. I am well versed in what dangerous for pets as I grew up with pets and have lived with both cats and dogs.

About: I’ve personally have two dogs and one cat, but taken care of many more. Puppies, potty accidents, senior dogs, grouchy cats. I love them all! Looking to gain more professional experience with different animal personalities. I am a former dog foster for the Richmond SPCA and Beagles & Bentleys. My availability is mostly open during the week! For weekends, I might need request decently far an advance as I do Rover as my side job. My home has already been made pet friendly and has the space to accommodate 1-2 more pets (depending on size) as I do have two of my own. I like to get a sense of how the pet feels about his / my home to establish their level of comfortability and trust.

About: I love animals of all shapes and sizes. I love all breeds. I enjoy getting dogs to play and do tricks for treats. My family and I enjoy making your pet family. Sleeping cuddling and lots of attention is what they get while here. Most dogs don't want to leave when they come. I have several repeat dogs and they get out of the car and run to the house. Where they have an abundance of toys bones and beds to relax on. I believe the dog should be on your schedule so I do my best with that. Huge yard provides safe exercise time. Sunbathing an added bonus. I will even bathe your pup upon request. So don't stress and let me take care of the rest. I currently do this part time. Around working as a waitress part time. I'm available every 4 to 6 hours for pet care. I love this job. I have crates and plenty of space to separate if needed. I have filtered water. Treats of all types. I have toys for an aggressive chewer to a softy.
