“Our babies love staying with Amy. She takes great care of them. Mostly I enjoy the pictures during their stay! They're always happy when getting there and somewhat sad when leaving. I highly recommend Amy!!!! Buddy and Daisy can't wait to come back again to play and be spoiled.”

“Cyndi is so awesome! Belle loves going over there and it's really satisfying to know that she's in great hands with Cyndi. She's great at communicating and updating you on the stay. The peace of mind she offers is invaluable.”

“Michelle always does a great job sitting my dog. I had a last minute trip planned and she was able to accommodate. I even had a delayed trip back home and she was very flexible which I appreciated.”

“I’m so grateful to Kelsi for responding quickly to my last-minute, late-night request! I felt completely at ease leaving Faf with her and her wonderful family. Thank you for taking such great care of him on short notice and for spoiling him with yogurt and peanut butter treats! I will definitely reach out again when we’re back at Kings Dominion.”

“Michelle was AMAZING with my dog. My dog is a special needs dog. (He can't do stairs, has anxiety accidents, needs medication, etc.) I so rarely leave my dog with anyone else because of this. But Michelle didn't make any of his needs feel like a burden. Her and her family were so warm toward him and very attentive to his idiosyncrasies. He got along with the kids, who were sensitive to his need to warm up to people. He ran around the house and was so happy to be there with the family. Michelle sent updates multiple times a day with pictures/videos and a report on how he was doing: if he went to the bathroom, what he ate, and what his mood was like. I will be booking with her again and will very easily recommend!”

“Sheyanna took amazing care of my dog, Astro, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the start, she was kind, reliable, and clearly someone who truly loves animals. Astro was happy, relaxed, and well cared for when I picked him up, which says everything. She kept me updated, made sure Astro got plenty of attention, and treated him like he was her own.”

“Amy and her family were great as usual! They watched my pup while I was gone for 2 weeks out of the country during the holidays. Even bought him a little Xmas present! Thank you for taking such great care of him :)”

“Krystal and her husband were great! She was very communicative and flexible. Our cat was well cared for and had lots of fun with their cats. We will definitely schedule again in the future!”

“Left my 5 month puppy Leahla with Sheri and her family for the weekend through out the stay she kept me updated and sent pictures of Leahla. Definitely will be booking again.”
“We are grateful to Elizabeth and Denton for the exceptional care they gave Manteo. From the moment we left him, it was clear how caring, attentive and truly invested they were in making sure he was happy, healthy and loved. They also kept him well exercised, engaged and enriched through play, companionship and thoughtful integration with their own dog. It was clear Manteo was treated like family. He came home happy, healthy and clearly well cared for. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. 10+ stars for Elizabeth and Denton. We would recommend them without hesitation and look forward to booking with them again!”

“Michaela was absolutely fantastic with Zephyr and it was so clear he had such a great time with her this weekend! During our stay she sent tons of pictures to keep me updated on what Zeph was up to and was very communicative throughout the whole rover process. We met ahead of time during a meet and greet where Zeph got tons of time to get to know his new aunt Michaela and vice versa and it was clear to see how great she was with handling him from the start. We will absolutely be back and are so happy to have met you! Thanks so much for taking such great care of Zephyr!”

“Damacia was excellent to work with. We met her a few days before we left on vacation. Very clean and well behaved other pups. Nice environment for our younger pup. She updated us through the time Maggie spent there and was great about meeting us to pick her up. We would highly recommend Damacia for your pet sitting needs!”

Even though they had a lot going on, Jennifer let me know how things were going and was so sweet and considerate of his special food and supplements and his separation anxiety. I am so grateful that I found ya'll and that you are nearby. Thank you so much!”

“Anna was fantastic, in-house sitting my two kittens while I was on a two week vacation. Super knowledgeable about cats and animals and I had incredible peace mind knowing she was caring for them while I was gone. I appreciated the many pictures and updates Anna sent, how fast she was to respond to any questions, and how truly accommodating she was. I highly recommend Anna!!”

“We could not have been happier with the care Allyson provided to our cat Harry this week. Allyson sent detailed updates with photos for each visit (we had her visit twice daily while we were gone). She bonded really well with our kitty. She also appropriately clarified questions regarding care for his chronically blocked tear duct. We will for sure be booking her again. Highly recommend!!”

“Steven is so great! He has done both house/pet sitting, where he stays in my place for 1 week or more, and also just drop ins to walk the dogs and feed the cats/litter box when I have to be gone for extended hours. I literally never worry about any of my babies, even the elderly Cavalier on like 7 meds, because Steven is so good with them and super reliable. I recommend him to anyone at any time!”

About: I have been around cats since I was very young. My first childhood pet was an orange tabby named Lucky. Since moving out on my own, I have found myself rescuing not one, but two cats. Caring for them has been one of the most rewarding things I’ve done so far and I wouldn’t trade them for the world.
About: I have been taking care of animals since I was little and have always been the designated pet-sitter in my neighborhood. I have watched puppies as well as elderly dogs, and am equipped to take care of their individual needs and routines! I am currently working part time and have a very flexible and open schedule. I have an active lifestyle and prefer to take multiple walks per day and will happily bring some furry company along! I also wake up early so I can make sure your pets are fed and taken care of within their normal routines. I have my own car that I am able to take over to clients’ homes to watch their pets at any times. And my own backyard is fenced and ready for boarding dogs. I have a small dachshund/yorkie mix that is very social and two sweet black cats that love company as well.

About: When I look after your kitty, I'm all about enrichment and comfort. Whether your cat is a cuddly lap-warmer or a dignified observer who prefers to supervise from across the room, I'll match their energy. I absolutely love sitting quietly on the sofa, petting a purring buddy or playing with the string toys for the more active kitties. I'm also experienced with giving medications and deep-cleaning litter boxes. Your cat will be comfortable, looked after, and free to be exactly as aloof or affectionate as they please!
“Krystal did a great job! She not only followed instructions but gone above and beyond. She was very patient, spoiled and pet my cat, and sent pics every day. I will definitely book with her to care of my cat again in the future.”

About: Hello, my name is Darwin. I grew up around all kinds of animals and have many years of experience with taking care of dogs. I am trustworthy, reliable, and experienced. I am willing to care and sit for your companions for a reasonable price. I work full time as a manager and have a pretty flexible schedule. My free time usually starts after 3pm, but I can always plan accordingly to you and your pets need. I have a fenced yard that allows my pups to roam around and explore. They get consistent care and are very loved, and I would love to do the same for your furry friends.

“My first experience with Rover and I could not have chosen a better pet sitter! My cat is normally very shy around unfamiliar people- she took to Chynna instantly. The pictures of Luna instantly put me at ease. I will definitely rebook with her next time!!”

“Katharine was so responsive and kind as I navigate a last minute work trip. Her house was obviously a pups heaven and I was so grateful that my dogs, Swoosh and Frankie, were able to stay with Katharine and Louie (x2) for a few hours. If we’re ever back in Richmond, Katharine will always be our first call!”

“Matt is amazing !! I moved to Richmond for work for 13 weeks and he has made my life easier taking care of my 1 year old puppy, Paige. His dog, Cooper is super super sweet. And Paige comes home exhausted from all the fun she has had ! Very grateful for Matt’s help”

“Cheryl provides a loving and perfect daycare location. Her home is setup wonderfully for the dogs to roam free and lounge happily together, getting the attention and love they need while away from home. I look forward to recurring dogsitting with her.”

“Zaria is wonderful with dogs. My little ones tend to be shy and skittish with strangers but not with her. They were comfortable immediately. It was such a relief to know they would be happy with her. I HIGHLY recommend Zaria to take for your fur babies too!”

“Sheri was incredible. Made plenty of time for our dog and made sure he was comfortable and received lots of care. Sent pics and updates throughout the day. Will 100% call her again if we need a sitter!”

“Great with my little one she is old and spoiled Chihuahua and she just keeps getting spoiled. Loves the yard to run in and play with the bigger dogs sometimes. But the best part is she is worn out by the time we get home. And they are so flexible with my crazy schedule.”

“Pamela and Paul were awesome with Monroe! She is a sensitive dog who felt right at home with a little extra attention. They were flexible with our schedule and accommodating for a late pick up one day. I will definitely use them again- true animal lovers that treat your dog like their own!”

About: I have a large variety of experience with dogs, cats, and animals of all kinds. I have had a myriad of pet-sitting jobs—for friends, family, and strangers! I also worked as a Veterinary Assistant for years when was younger, so I can work with dogs and cats of all mannerisms and at all stages of their lives. I am completely comfortable medicating or attending to any special needs. I work remotely so I will be home to give your pet all the attention they may need any day of the week. Pet care fits very easily in my routine since I have 2 of my own! I live in a townhome and have a small fenced in yard that is good for potty breaks and some outdoor chilling, but there are also plenty of areas around me to walk the dogs. I have a 5-year-old 65 lb mixed breed dog named Baloo and a floofy orange cat named Bennett, so any dogs staying with me would need to be dog/cat friendly (or at least tolerating). If I come into your home, I am respectful of your space and able to follow instructions well.
“Always satisfied with Srujana’s care and enthusiasm when looking after Tenor. The pup always comes back happy, and most importantly, tuckered you after playing with Rex all day.”

So whatever your pet's personality, chances are I've cared for one just like them. I have hands-on experience raising and training puppies, and I'm comfortable administering medication. I take pet care seriously, and I treat every animal like one of my own. Your loved one will be in good hands with me! For cats, I'll play with them either before or after their food depending on their mood. I love to start out the mornings with a walk for dogs and then feeding. For cats, I’ll usually feed then wait and play unless the cat has a lot of energy beforehand.

“This was the first time I have ever used this app/service and Taylor was absolutely amazing and quick to respond (which was amazing as my request was same day). She was so patient and gentle with my dog as he can be very wary/scared of strangers, but she did a great job of giving him time to warm up to her! I could tell he was absolutely ready for a nap after the walk.”

Upon arrival I will make sure all dogs have water food if requested by owner. Play with the dog outside or walk for a little while.
About: My first business venture, in elementary school, started with posting flyers in my neighborhood for my dog-walking business, to prove to my parents that I could take care of a family dog if we were to get one. It worked; we got our first family dog, and have been a dog family ever since! Now I have my own golden retriever named Koa who is the light of my life, loves coming with me anywhere he is allowed, and has yet to meet a stranger. I always have a surplus of love to give, especially when it comes to animals, and my post-pandemic job now provides me with plenty of flexibility. Let me love on your fur baby, too! My job is very flexible, so it’s easy for me to add things to my agenda day-of. I enjoy the spontaneity and adventure of this side-hustle. When you’re not home, your dog misses you. I’m just there to make them feel safe and connected to someone in the meantime. I take that responsibility seriously.

I chose Cheryl based on her many excellent reviews and a lovely meet and greet, and I couldn't be happier. I received updates and photos daily, she allowed Honey to sleep in the bed, and spoiled her with treats and attention. I recommend Cheryl to any first time dog parents or anyone who is very anxious to leave their dog behind. I will absolutely book Cheryl for boarding in the future. She creates a comfortable, loving environment that my dog wouldn't have experienced at a boarding facility or pet resort. Thank you, thank you thank you!!”

“Aaren and Jordon are practically family now. This is the second time they have watched my girl and they take the BEST care of her. They love on her, make sure she is getting fresh air, and even take her on outings. I almost hesitated to write this review because I don’t want yall to know how great they are and then start taking all to spots - just kidding! I can’t be selfish! Everyone deserves to feel the peace I feel when my pup stays with them ❤️.”
