“Sara was incredible and patient walking with our 8 year old GD. Our doggy is big in the outside but little in the inside and Sara treated her with such gentleness. Highly recommend Sara as a dog walker.”

“Pam is amazing with my dog Mila! She is quick to respond and flexible, which I really appreciate as my schedule varies week to week. Mila runs to the door every time she gets here. I can’t say enough positive things about our experience working with her.”

“Jennifer is great with my pup Jupiter who is super curious but can also be a bit anxious and energetic at times. My big boy comes back all smiles and tail wags after his walks!”

“Victor always does a great job with my little Buddy. Sometimes I am nervous about how my dog might react around a new person, but Victor has been amazing and Buddy loves when he visits. Definitely recommend!”
About: Hi! I’ve always had a huge love for animals and honestly can’t imagine life without them. I worked at PetSmart for 3 years as a Pet Care Associate, where I cared for all kinds of animals — from dogs and bunnies to lizards and other small pets. That experience taught me so much about animal behavior, patience, and making pets feel comfortable and cared for. I also know the doggy Heimlich maneuver, so your pet’s safety is always something I take seriously. I grew up surrounded by pets and now have two of my own as an adult, so I completely understand how important it is to find someone you can truly trust with your furry family members. Whether your pet loves playtime, cuddles, walks, or just a calm comforting presence, I’ll always treat them like one of my own ❤️ Pet care fits naturally into my lifestyle because animals are truly what I love spending my time around 🐾 I work 8–4 in Wisconsin Dells, and outside of work, caring for animals is honestly my favorite way to spend my free time. Whether it’s walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply keeping pets company, it never feels like a chore to me — it’s something I genuinely enjoy ❤️ I’ve always grown up with pets and currently have two of my own, so caring for animals has always been part of my daily life. I love creating a calm, loving environment where pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away 🐶🐱 When caring for pets—whether in my home or a client’s home—I focus on keeping them comfortable, safe, and sticking closely to their normal routine 🐾 In my own home, I care for my two pets daily by making sure they’re fed on schedule, have fresh water, get plenty of attention, playtime, walks when needed, and a calm, clean environment. I really treat them like part of my family, and their well-being is a big part of my everyday life. When caring for a client’s pets, I bring that same level of care and consistency. I follow instructions closely, maintain feeding and potty routines, give lots of love and attention based on each pet’s personality, and always prioritize safety. I also pay attention to behavior and comfort so pets feel as relaxed as possible while their owners are away. With my experience working at PetSmart and years of caring for animals in both personal and professional settings, I’m comfortable with pets of all kinds and always aim to make them feel secure, loved, and at home!
“Highly recommend! Jiayi took the time to learn my dog and provide great care for her. My dog was able to relax and unwind with her and I had peace of mind knowing she was being cared for. Jiayi also does a great job with communication.”

“Joseph is great with our AmStaff. The basics of timely and great communication definitely met. But then way above and beyond in his care and exercise of a high energy 5 year old Staffie. Koda is is noticeably and positively impacted by the days Joseph visits. Strongly recommend!!!”

I understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy, attentive, and patient with your pets. I’m comfortable with walks, feeding routines, playtime, cleanup, and providing lots of love and attention while you’re away! 🐾 I work full-time during weekdays, so my availability is mainly evenings and weekends. I’m fully available on weekends for walks, drop-ins, and extended care, and I’m happy to help provide reliable, loving care around my work schedule. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. As a former veterinary clinic assistant and experienced pet owner, I pay close attention to routines, behavior, and any special care instructions to help your pets feel safe and stress-free. I’m attentive, reliable, and committed to providing a calm, loving environment.

“Jordan is an amazing dog walker! My dog loves him. He is reliable and really considerate of the dog’s walking experience. He gets to know the dog and what the dog needs. Every time my dog returned she was calm, happy and had a big goofy grin on her face. We had difficult weather during the week he walked her and he was great about communicating with me to work around the weather and make sure she had a great walk. I highly recommend him!”

About: Hi! I'm Jen and I'm a self-professed animal lover! Cats and dogs are a big part of my life. My family always used in-home pet sitting for our dogs, a couple of whom were traumatized and required a little more comfort than most. I understand how it can be hard to leave a dog in a kennel or an unfamiliar home. That's where I come in! Let me pamper your fur baby and put your mind at ease. I am an elementary school teacher on summer break, so I have pretty wide-open availability for the season. I craft heavily when I'm not working, but that can always be paused to attend to pets :) I believe in respect for animals first and foremost! Reading their body language and listening to their cues is crucial. I also believe in trusting owners’ advice about their pets since you know your fur baby best!

“Allegra is the best with my dogs. She is responsible, great at quick communication, and truly treats my pups well when we need her to walk the. Or stay the night. We cant say enough nice things about Allegra.”

About: I’ve had cats and dogs my entire life, from very young to end of life care. Taking care of animals and bonding with them is such a special thing, and I would love to help aid dogs lives through proper exercise! Going into college in the fall and will have a part time job soon; I have plenty of free time to work around with and will be very flexible with my schedule. I currently have one cat (around 3) and one dog (around 10) who I love very much. My dog is getting a little too old to go on longer walks with me so I think this will be a great opportunity to help younger dogs get that exercise in. I’m very easy to talk to and flexible and would be happy to make sure your animal has water after the walk/ a treat and will provide doggy bags for bathroom needs.
About: I have experience working at Paw Pals taking care of cats and dogs. I have also raised and cared for hamsters, horses, birds and bunnys. I'm currently working part-time to only care for animals so I have plenty of time for your animals! Let me know when you need me and I will be there! They will get the time they need. ❤️ Your pet will have the whole downstairs to themselves and lots of play space. I have two friendly cats that are willing to be friends with your pets but they will be upstairs. There are multiple grassy areas to run around in around my condo and trails to walk your pet that will allow them to play in. Treats treats treats❣️
“Cloey did such a great job walking our dog Lily! She was timely and communicative. Lily got bored with walking so Cloey filled up the remaining time playing with her in the backyard. Lily loved her time with Cloey. Would recommend her to anyone!”

About: For the past 8 years, I have been pet sitting for various friends, families, and neighbors. This has included taking care of dogs and cats, making sure their well-being is taken care of. I have experience walking dogs and making sure they are mentally stimulated throughout the day. I have also had experience with cleaning up any potential messes the pet might have made in absence of me or the owner. Currently, I work as a server while on summer break from college. My schedule at work is pretty flexible and I don't typically work whole days, so for the most part I am free on days I work except for 4-5 hours at the max. Other than that, the days I have off will be cleared and dedicated to the animal I am watching when I am scheduled. Whenever I watch an animal in another home, I always make a short sweep through the house wherever the animal has access to in order to ensure no messes were made. Whenever I leave, whether for a walk or for an extended period of time, I double check to make sure that the house is locked up and secure through any means of entrance. I am available for regular correspondence with owners and reply in a timely manner.

About: I’ve cared for my dog for 10+ years, have experience dog sitting and overnight stays, and love staying active by giving dogs plenty of walks, exercise, and attention. Pet care fits well into my routine because I only work nights, leaving me available during the day for walks, check-ins, playtime, feeding, and overnight pet sitting. In clients’ homes, I provide feeding, walks, playtime, overnight care, and lots of attention while keeping the home clean and respectful. I make sure pets get plenty of exercise, affection, and consistent care while their owners are away.
About: My pet-sitting experiences include looking after both cats and dogs day to day and for extended periods of time. When taking care of cats, I make sure they have clean water and food at all times; keep their environment clean; watch over them and see if they are healthy; and interact with them by playing with them on a daily basis. I also have experience caring for dogs of various sizes and energy levels. Making sure their fed, walked, groomed, and cleaning up any messes/ their environment. In addition always making sure they have access to clean drinking water and providing plenty of playtime and attention. I occasionally take care of a family friend’s dog who has arthritis. I help keep her comfortable through gentle massages, giving her medication as directed, and hand-feeding her when necessary. In doing so, I learned to be patient and attentive in caring for an animal's individual needs. What sets me apart is my genuine love for animals. I always go the extra mile into taking good care of animals, ensuring their safety, and comfort in the absence of their owners. I treat every pet as if they were my own and doing everything I can to ensure their happiness. I am extremely flexible with regards to my schedule, and can be available for the most part of the day. I wake up early, so feeding and taking the animals for walk won't be a problem at all. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I value their safety, trust, and maintaining a calm and familiar environment for their pet. It is important for me to carefully follow all the instructions concerning their feeding schedule, treatment, taking medication, and other specific care. It goes without saying that I make sure that the pets receive proper meals and have clean water to drink. I also try to keep the house as clean as possible, including litter boxes for cats and any messes that may occur. I also observe the pets to ensure everything seems normal and they’re healthy. I believe that building trust with both pets and owners is essential, I’ll always provide them with updates and photographs about the current condition of the pets. My goal is to make sure their pet is cared for and mostly importantly happy.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
