Great with following directions and proactively taking care of all the things — he even noticed the light on the automatic feeder and refilled it before I even messaged him about the notification I’d received. Perhaps best of all, he saw AJ for the loving, playful kitty that he is—so I knew AJ was feeling comfortable and that he was in good, kind hands. Would definitely recommend to others and would be glad to have his help again!”

About: My pet-sitting experiences include looking after both cats and dogs day to day and for extended periods of time. When taking care of cats, I make sure they have clean water and food at all times; keep their environment clean; watch over them and see if they are healthy; and interact with them by playing with them on a daily basis. I also have experience caring for dogs of various sizes and energy levels. Making sure their fed, walked, groomed, and cleaning up any messes/ their environment. In addition always making sure they have access to clean drinking water and providing plenty of playtime and attention. I occasionally take care of a family friend’s dog who has arthritis. I help keep her comfortable through gentle massages, giving her medication as directed, and hand-feeding her when necessary. In doing so, I learned to be patient and attentive in caring for an animal's individual needs. What sets me apart is my genuine love for animals. I always go the extra mile into taking good care of animals, ensuring their safety, and comfort in the absence of their owners. I treat every pet as if they were my own and doing everything I can to ensure their happiness. I am extremely flexible with regards to my schedule, and can be available for the most part of the day. I wake up early, so feeding and taking the animals for walk won't be a problem at all. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I value their safety, trust, and maintaining a calm and familiar environment for their pet. It is important for me to carefully follow all the instructions concerning their feeding schedule, treatment, taking medication, and other specific care. It goes without saying that I make sure that the pets receive proper meals and have clean water to drink. I also try to keep the house as clean as possible, including litter boxes for cats and any messes that may occur. I also observe the pets to ensure everything seems normal and they’re healthy. I believe that building trust with both pets and owners is essential, I’ll always provide them with updates and photographs about the current condition of the pets. My goal is to make sure their pet is cared for and mostly importantly happy.

About: I have a lot of experience with animals, especially cats and dogs. Growing up I had multiple rescue dogs and a cat. In addition to my own pets I regularly take care of my neighbors’ dogs. In the past I worked for Cherokee Kennels and volunteered for Shelter from the Storm and the Dane County Humane Society. About: I'm an animal-loving recent grad from UW-Madison, born and raised in the Midwest. I work 8–4 in behavioral health and spend my free time around animals whenever I can. I have lots of experience with both cats and dogs, they've always been part of my family growing up. I've cared for senior dogs, including giving shots, daily oral medication, and following specific feeding schedules and exercise routines. I also regularly watch high energy large dogs as well as smaller dogs. I always try to mimic each pet's normal routine so they don't feel like they're with someone new, my goal is for them to feel like they're just having a normal day, with maybe a little extra fun! I work in behavioral health care with a schedule of 8–4, and I work from home on Mondays and Fridays, which allows me to do midday check-ins on your pets if needed! I'm also available to stay for longer periods at your home to provide care. During the week, I can stop by before or after work, and I'm flexible anytime on weekends. Safety and routine come first, whether I'm in my own home or yours. I keep feeding schedules, medications, and habits consistent so pets feel secure. I'm experienced with oral, topical, and syringe medication, chronic conditions like arthritis and hyperthyroidism, and keeping escape prone pets safely inside. I also respect each pet's boundaries, aiming to help them feel as comfortable as they would with their own owner! :)
